Yes, they certainly have. It seems that the line between cartoon and reality has finally been erased. Between the Bert and Ernie debate and whether Thomas the Tank Engine should improve its diversity profile I believe we've lost it.

is it really our business what Bert and Ernie are doing?

We tolerated "valley girls".  We've glorified stupidity. We've pandered to the morons.  We've profited from the least-common-denominator.  We invented the Internet and let anybody use it.  We pulled the pin and let the bar fall all the way to the bottom.  And we're becoming an idiocracy way sooner than I thought we would. indecision

...after the film Brave was released, there were similar "speculation's" about the the main character Merida as well, because she was the first Disney "princess" to shun the idea of marriage or needing a "prince" to make her life complete.

    ...'plaint:

Paid the power bill last night and this morning got an account balance alert (I set the alerts to trigger at a certain balance level so I don't go overdrawn, otherwise it's a 35$ overdraft fee) .  Going to be rough 14 days ahead (I get my deposit on the 3rd of the month) particularly as my food card is down to about six bucks fifty (guess the expect me to eat all that cheap over processed artificial everything crap).

Going to have to put off getting a new phone plan until next month, as the phone I have is permanently "locked" to the previous carrier so I have to buy a new one (which is going to be a real hit in the budget as they all are pretty much are 100$ or more).  What a waste of both money and materials (the latter as recycling electronic devices is a difficult because of the batteries) as the old one works just fine for my needs.  This also means having to push getting a wired gigabit Router back a month afterwards (November) as they aren't inexpensive either.

Complaint:  Another problem with my new Amazon FireTV Stick. Grrrr... angry  I bought the FireTV Stick to be able to watch YouTube but that only partially works and won't let me login to my YouTube account.  The FireTV Stick also has the NetFlix app so I decided to use it's NetFlix instead of the NetFlix on my SmartTV itself to avoid having to deal with so many remote controls.  And besides, the FireTV Stick has voice activation which I thought might be cool and move me another notch into the 21st century.  HOWEVER, when I invoke the NetFlix app on the FireTV Stick everything works hunky-dory except I get no picture.  I get sound, I get subtitles, I get voice activation but no picture.  Grrrrrr.... angry  I'm this close [---] to sending the FireTV Stick back to Amazon and requesting a refund.  If it wasn't for the fact that it does at least let me get YouTube (albeiit in a crippled way) on my TV I'd toss it in a minute.  Methinks the FireTV gizmo ain't really ready for prime time.  Too many technical and licensing issues.

About when people say “when you brush your teeth, you need to blah blah blah blah.”  Or “when you drive down the interstate, you have to keep the windows up or your hair will be a mess and you got to put it up.”  Basically using you instead of saying one or somebody.

I do brush my teeth.  I do not drive.  My hair is practically too short to get messy and if it did, okay whatever?

  • There are peas in this coleslaw complaint.  Also probably too much mayo.

  • kyoto kidkyoto kid Posts: 41,847

...my complaint would be there's the mayo in the coleslaw.

Back in Wisconsin when I was living there, we had a version that used a vinegar, water, sugar celery salt, and pepper base.  Tasty and refreshing on a hot day.

I think that is what I meant by too much mayo as I am not a fan of mayo as I think it is not good for me as it might clog the arteries.

Complaint I do not have enough for that save 90 dollars in one order promotion

Non-complaint, I finally paid off my shoes.  They were Amazon Wardrobe thing that they let me try them on for x amount of days and if I do not like them I can return them.  I do like them but they still need time to break in.  Hopefully I made the right choice.

Non-complaint:  After fiddling with every control on my TV and every option I could find on the fireTVstick without results.  And after turning off/on my TV and plugging/unplugging my fireTVstick without results.  I finally found the instructions that identified the two-button magic that forces a reset in the fireTVstick.  indecision  Now everything seems to be working.  Unfortunately now I have to go back through all my TV settings and set them up again the way I like my color temperature, sound, timers, contrast, etc. etc. etc. frown

But at least now I don't feel like returning it for a refund because pause/play function is much quicker than the one in my TV and when it pauses the image isn't blocked by huge text logos.  And the voice operated functions are fun to play with for now.  Happy camper for the moment. smiley

Substitute lemon juice for the vinegar and you have almost the way I make it

I think they did a good job with the squirrel in Ice Age!  It really did act like the squirrels I watch in my back yard.  (the way it moved and such)
