    Fool me once...

    Rather than dealing with the website...call your CC company and get your money back.  All this agravation is probably taking years off your life!  Is a little carved rock worth it?

    I bought an apricot jam, forgetting to check ingredients until I was eating my peanut butter and apricot jam sandwich. I saw the HFCS and became frustrated a bit, as I am unable to return the stupid jam because my spoon went in it.

    ...most of the flour used in the US and shipped abroad is bleached rather than natural. It is also often made from wheat that has been genetically engineered to produce better crops and be somewhat resistant to pests.  Not sure if it's the chemicals (although those are bad) as it is the wheat that is used itself.

    I agree about making pasta by hand (I no longer have a large enough area to roll the dough out on, though I still have my hand cranked pasta maker).

    Ugh pop tarts, never really liked them and many commercial cold cereals are little more than empty calories. I prefer organic rolled oats for brekkie in winter (not the microwave stuff either).

    You could try einkorn, emmer and kamut, preferably organic. These are old traditional wheat sorts which are said to be better tolerated by people with wheat allergy.

    My ride is five minutes early but no big deal.

    is it my new shoes are bad or what?  My feet hurt.  I did not work the last week and half it feels (aka not on my feet for hours on end) but went back to work today.

    edit today is the first day wearing the shoes by the way.

    OK just checked the ingredients list online, and they have HFCS along with Corn Syrup  and Sugar. So a triple sweetener whammy.

    There is also the possibility they use animal fat shortening ("Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable and/or Animal Shortening") most likely as the main component of the "creme filling".

    ...and yes, artificial flavourings as well as Red Dye #40 (which is made from from petroleum distillates or coal tars).

    I'd pass.

    I assume you are trying to say they are radioactive.  I like to say hot sandwich samples half a half life of five minutes, but I am referring to heat loss verses radioactivity.   I could have the half life of fifty years, but that does not mean I will die on my hundredth birthday.  Just not ready to have a midlife crisis until fifteen more years from now.

    Is it worth it? surprise YES!  Have you seen it?   It's not a small stone, it's 10 inches tall and well worth what I paid for it.  How can one not love it?   It has the appeal of a crying white baby seal that has escaped the bloody culling by heartless seal hunters and has been abandoned on the rocky shore of some cold isolated Arctic island.  It needs a rescuer and a warm loving home. broken heart

    No, I'm saying that it's so full of preservatives that it can go into a bomb shelter and still be eaten ten years later.  That's the joke, anyway.  I don't know if they'll actually last that long, but I don't want to bother to find out.  I never cared for their taste, anyway.  I was more into the chocolate things...Ring Dings, Devil Dogs, Yodels.

    Yeah not a very impressive game on Sunday, partly because Rodgers was not 100% after that knee sprain he got in game 1, but mostly because of the inexperienced wide receivers, lack of a running game, and a still "soft as warm Wisconsin butter" defence.  I think there needs to be a bit more of a shakeup in the front office and the sidelines (particularly their head coach).

    Were it not for their kicker Mason Crosby (who hit 5 field goals and just missed a 6th which would have won the game in regulation) it wouldn't have been close.  Crikey, one of the two touchdowns for Green Bay was scored by the special teams on a blocked punt. 

    I still feel it was a big mistake for Green Bay Management to let Jordi Nelson go.  He and Rodgers had that "connection" between each other like Joe Montana and Jerry Rice for the SF 49rs did back in the 1990s.

    There is a charity Humble Bundle for Unity available for $15. Just search on Google for Humble Bundle.

    It includes Gaia terrain generator, awesome 3D models, music, tutorials and the other goodies for Unity.

    There are also a couple of games for Steam included with the bundle, if you pay $15 or more.

    The most important for me was the charity, they pick to support - Girls Who Code.

    We need more female programmers - it is still time to support them - 6 hours left.

    helen keller social services called me, they want to come over and help me fill out applications.
    they tellin me i need to go out and do things.  it's strange cuz no one cared if i went out and did things before.
    i went to the petting zoo sundae, that was my activity for a while.
    i want to stay home with my fleecy blankets and cry on my pity pot. 
    unfortunately my pity pot needs rent money.
    they make it sound like i shouldnt feel bad, cuz other people are in worse shape than me,
    that actually doesn't make me feel better, it gives me more people to pray for.

    Just saw your post on another thread about this.  If it involves signing up with Steam, definitely a no-go.  I am not interested in games and that is their focus.

    Complaint:  Arghhh... My Panasonic SmartTV's YouTube app stopped working. sad  I figured that it was the app in the TV that stopped working.  So, I bought an Amazon FireTV Stick to plug into my SmartTV to use as "external smarts".  Unfortunately, now that it's arrived and I've got it plugged in to the TV I've learned that YouTube (owned by Google) no longer plays ball with Amazon (owned by Amazon) because of licensing issues.  I now suspect that this is also the problem with my Panasonic SmartTV. frown

    Research on the Internet reveals that there are several workaround but all involve using a 3rd party browser downloaded to the FireStick as well as "alternative" versions of the YouTube app (sounds skanky to me).  That apparently provides access to Youtube but doesn't let you "activate" your YouTube account so that you can use your customized library history of YouTube favorites.  I've implemented one of those workarounds and now have access to YouTube but without the ability to login to my account.  Pain in the behind! no

    Sigh,  I'll suffer along with crippled YouTube access on my TV for now but eventually I guess I'll have to get a long HDMI cable and a new video card for my computer with the proper outputs so I can feed both the monitor and the TV to permit me to get a fully functional YouTube onto my SmartTV.  Mumble, grumble.  I probably should return the FireStick to Amazon and demand my money back but it does have a few other features that I might someday grow into. Mumble grumble....frown  Harumph... that was $40 ill spent.  Mumble grumble... crying

    Non-complaint:  The silver lining to this dark cloud is that I didn't spend $400 to buy a new SmartTV and have the same negative result. yes
