I've got a smart phone. A cheap smart phone, an old tech smart phone. It will take pictures, but getting it to do so and then looking at the pictures is too much trouble. Uploading them to wherever is technically possible but I haven't figured it out yet. It can play games, It can do texting and voice mail, but I haven't figured it out yet and have lost interest in doing so. The only time it rings is when a new advertisement is directed at me or I need to add money to my call time contract. However, I do admit that it is a step above my previous portable phone which had very limited range, and always gave me trouble trying to figure out how to keep the string tight.
complainnt - omgm the drug to inj into my eyes, monthly, 2k per eye.
that's just the drug, doesn't include the dr services to inj it.
Abuse of cell phones is very complaint-worthy. I hate people who carry on very personal cell phone conversations in crowded places. Had to go to the social security office the other day, which of course means waiting in line for hours. A man talked very loudly on his cell phone about all his personal health issues, his political views, etc, etc, etc.
Ugh.
Non-complaint Amtrak has a "silent car" for the trains in the northeast corridor.
You probably need an update ;) The downside of course is that they cost one heck of a lot of money. The newer ones integrate everything better. I'm in my 60's, so I'm not a kid saying pop's get with it, I took a long time getting the hang of what to use the phone for myself, I used a flip phone up until 2010 or so. There are things you can do on phones and tablets these days you either cannot do on a desktop, or are just a whole lot more convenient to have in your pocket. For instance if you are travelling, you can instantly find out not only where you are, but everything around you like gas stations, restaurants, stores, etc. You can take pictures and instantly transmit them to family and friends. You can check on your stocks from anywhere, get weather updates instantly, get traffic conditions instantly, and yes, while you can do that on your desktop also it generally is not travelling around with you in your car.
I also have it hooked up so any time any charge goes to a credit card or my bank account it alerts me.
Website viewing they are lousy at, and I'll generally use my ipad for viewing websites, movies or instructional videos. The intersting thing about the ipad is people are writing applications for it that are pretty darned exciting and cost a small fraction of what equivallent desktop software costs. There's some amazing paint and photo editing software out there. Plus I can use it all while my workstation is grinding out renders and is pretty much unusable for anything else.
Anyway it's a whole new world out there. Don't get stuck on what you're used to just because you're used to it. You'll miss out on a whole lot that way.
Must be bitcoins on one of those smartphones that ignite in your pocket! He's right, take your pants off...quick!

Many people who've lost weight, find it again. Ask them where they found it.

Why am I so fat? I do not want to be fat.
Well I guess I am old fashioned. If I want to make a phone call I use a phone, if I want to take a picture I use a camera and if I want to browse the internet I use a computer.
When I retired I handed back my mobile phone very happily, a bit more reluctantly gave back the lap top and did try and buy the remainder on my Company Vehicle, but the hire company wanted too much, so very reluctantly handed back car keys and we went back to being a one car family with a couple of desk top computers and a landline for the phone.
Maybe it's fat that wants to be you.

and only 5 extra fahrenheits.
I know a guy named Dwayne, and you couldn't be more wrong when it comes to him.
Hidden calories?
It's usually considered offensive to tell someone they're too fat, but telling someone they're too thin (which I've often been told (and it's never bothered me)) seems to be totally acceptable. Kind of funny.
It is wet outside. Very wet.
...gave up on them a while back for the same reasons. I use one called Weather Underground which also ties into local neighbourhood stations so you can see what the conditions are where you are or going to rather than miles away at an airport that is often out in the sticks. I always regard the temperature and conditions in the city as the "official" ones as that is where most people live and/or work.
My computer can see my Blu-Ray player but will not play anything that is in it.
...were it not for mine I couldn't board the bus without having to carry around a pocket full of "exact change" as our transit system discontinued paper tickets and passes as well as are removing automated ticket machines from LRT platforms and the transit mall (the latter which often broke down). However they've had a smartphone fare app for a couple years and it is wonderful.
Tri Met also recently introduced a new "smart" fare card which sounds convenient until you find just like with the old paper tickets, you have to go to an authorised outlet to "refill" it (you can't do so from home through your bank) and is more complicated to figure out what you have already used as well as have left for travel. It is primarily targeted towards regular "day to day" commuters (which I am not) who ride to from work or school. After a certain period of use, it converts to a monthly pass for the rest of the month. So basically if you charge it up with 100$ and use it 7 days a week, you get up to 10 days of "free" travel. However that doesn't trigger until you used up that 100$ in fares that month (20 round trips @ 5$ a day) which is also the cost of an unlimited monthly E-Pass. So the "bonus" is little more than a marketing ploy. For seniors and the disabled it is a little better as a monthly E-pass costs us only 28$ which would be 12 daily round trips (at 2.50$ each) or 23 single trips (at 1.25$).
I find the "E-Ticket" on the phone is so much more efficient, simpler, and convenient for a casual rider like myself. I can purchase "tickets" (even monthly passes of needed) online from the comfort of home and there is no "guesswork" as to how many tickets I have left.
...yeah,I hate it when I'm on the bus or tram and the person behind me decides it is a good time to have a loud argument with his or her SO or whoever. I tend to use speaker mode on mine so if someone calls while I am on transit or in a public area, I let it ring then do a callback when I can get to a place where it would not disturb others. We also get people on transit wearing earbuds who blast their music so loud you can't help but hear it. Surprised they are not totally deaf yet.
Not sure if the Cascades trains between Portland and Seattle have that feature, would be nice.
Trying to watch a bluray movie connected to a monitor but it is too quiet compared to my aquairum filter next to the monitor. I am having difficulty trying to set up the volume since it is not a TV but a monitor.
Now it is medicine time.
