Ouroboros is the symbolil of wholeness or infinity.
Cycle of nature: Ouroboros https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouroboros
Thank you, now I remember!
Dana
...saw a big display of pool noodles at the market which reminded me I still had pasta sauce in the freezer.
Wouldn't have been able to fit even one in the pot and even with my sauce it would not have been very tasty, so got some Flutterby Pasta (Farfelle) instead.
If you ever ate wax lips, you know what candle flavored candy tastes like.
I loved the orange wax whistles.
A word about doctors and what they prescrbe:
You may have noticed the salesprople rolling the large suitcases into the doctor's waiting room while you are waiting.
It's their job to sell the doctor on the latest and most expensive medications.
Unfortunately most doctors don't have the slightest idea what things cost.
So remember this mantra and repeat it whenever the doctor says he is going to write you a perscription:
"Does it come in a generic?"
If your doctor says no. then tell him you can only afford a generic. Oddly enough, the doctor will know a generic that has been in use longer, and he has seen it do the job on many of his patients.
a whole lotta 'shroom weather comin
desperately lookin for art reference to show the tattoo artist what i like.
lppkin under mythical butterfly wings now
i'se gona bring a screenshot of my rx dashboard so the dr can see why i'm balking at the victoza.
and show him the size differences of the pills at different dosages. don't think he's ever seen the pills he's prescribing. i refused to take the 850 metfornin, it's not even coated to make it go down smoothly.

i'm in love with these 2. but they'll clash.
guess it'll come down to the estimate.
Drinking coffee makes me want to visit a lady's room while putting pep in my step.
Non-complaint: Totally off topic but great animations. I found this 30 minute YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uGZdo-fsjI that, for me at least, does an excellent job of describing the forces, fields, particles and interactions of the Standard Model of Physics. It's an animated, non-mathematical description of the Standard Model that is very clear and intuitive.
It clearly shows how force fields are caused by virtual particles. It explains the relative sizes of the reach of the various types of forces. It explains WHY the various forces have different reaches. It shows how the omnipresent Higgs field gives mass to different particles differently. It shows that unlike all the other fields, the Higgs Field doesn't fade away to zero at great distance. I was disappointed however in its lack of explaining WHY the Higgs field is omnipresently non-zero. Although, I have seen and partially understand the mathematics of that.
Beware, that at about 10 minutes in, it seems to start repeating itself. But bear with it because it does continue with new material.
Yes, you will be mesmerized by the bright colors and wiggly motions, and befuddled by the subtle color changes, and droning narration explaining all these effects, but it's all consistent, and all has meaning.
Very interesting! And for people actually curious and currently semi-knowlegable about some of this stuff, is well worth watching a second time. Sometime after one has had a chance to absorb these concepts a bit.
Yeah, I know I'm a nerd but this stuff is real and the basis of all physical reality.
Is it absolutely correct? Of course not! Even the mathematics leaves some questions. But for an overview of this extremely successful and acurate theory and an overview that is more than just a small matrix chart of the particles and fields, this does a pretty good job of making it graspable.
Yeah, yeah, I know, it doesn't cover dark matter or dark energy but nobody can really explain those yet anyway. Perhaps in 20 years?
+1 Atta girl.
Whistle or pan flute? We had the pan flutes up here. Yes, they were kind of tasty, and fun!

Coffee dehydrates you...not good on a hot day.
Dana
too hot for walkin. gave up on hike to tattoo station today.
vascular dr today. he told me to wear compression socks.
did my lil physical therapy exercises in front of the fan.
Did anybody notice the description for the RW Letters and More product? You get the whole alphabet, 24 letters! First Pluto is removed from the list of planets. Now two letters have gone missing from the alphabet!

Seems that nobody proofreads things anymore.

I'm not sure if this is a complaint or a non-compaint:
We have a 90% chance of 2 to 4 inches of rain with localized flooding. I don't want that much rain but at least it will make up for the dry period we have been having. Maybe my lawn will go from brown back to green.
We used to love the wax vampire teeth, they were only available at Halloween.
I'm ready for Halloween; excessive heat warning here 114- 118 expected....
Geez, where are you? Texas? My niece is from Texas...she's visiting and says when she gets back it will be 110 or more for a week!
Dana
...a friend of mine told me it was 112° in Wichita Falls TX where he lives.
Yeah, it's been brutal there.
Meanwhile not looking forward to 10 days above 90° here. This is supposed to be Western Oregon...where it rains.
...I've almost had it with stupidity behind the wheel where I live. Was walking up to an intersection where I had the right of way and this idiot yanks a turn right in front of me without signalling.
Think I need to start carrying around a sledgehammer.
It's easy to miss things. https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/3798876/#Comment_3798876

i wanna pet a unicorn

I empathise. I live in Wales, where it rains almost every day. And we have wildfires. 2 days ago we had one just about a mile away as the crow flies. That one luckily got extinguished relatively quickly, because it was on the hillside above Asda. Asda is our equivalent of your Walmark, and it is not a small Asda store by any means. I think they may have pulled strings to make sure they got some good fire fighters.
It wasn't popular with some people when it was first built. One wrote a poem called Dowlais Top Revisited which started
What is there here at Dowlais Top to please a poet's eye?
A bloody Asda Superstore between the hill and sky!
An aluminium monster there, eight hundred feet on high!
I won't bore you with the rest of the poem
