surprise I panic and think OMG, what's going on here?  Have they closed down the whole town?  With trepidation thinking I missed some big news disaster about leaking gas or spontaneous sinkholes, I got out of the car and walked hesitatingly to the door assuming it would be locked.  But it wasn't.  Upon entering I found the place devoid of customers and 4 employees busy with kitchen work.  I wandered around from table to table and nobody noticed me.  I wandered into the diner counter area in full view of the 3 kitchen staff and nobody noticed me.  I called out "Hello".  No answer.  I called out again.  "Hello, are you open?"  No answer.  I called out, louder. "Hello, am I invisible?"  Still no answer but finally a waitress did come over and ask if I wanted a menu.  I think there was a glitch in the matrix today and I was in the middle of it. frown

Did you make 'that ' left turn?  The one into the twilight zone ? My brother and I were once quite sure there was at least one entrance to it in upstate NY.

Complaint:  Arghhhh... I drove 30 miles to the flea market that has been there every weekend every summer for 50 years and it wasn't there. surprise Entrance to the empty field blocked by traffic cones and chains.  And I wasn't the only one surprised by its absence because there were several other cars that were also just arriving and having to turn around in frustration.  So, since I'd driven all that way and it was noon I drove into the town for lunch at the little diner that's been there for 50 years and that I like to go to (because of their milkshakes made the old fashioned way with real ice cream in a metal cup on a tall mixer and it makes two full glasses of lumpy milkshake) and the usually full parking lot is empty except for just one car.  Darkly through the window I see just one person using a vacuum cleaner. surprise I panic and think OMG, what's going on here? 'Nother Complaint:  After leaving the diner I drove back down the length of the lake into the bigger city at the other end and stopped at the ice cream parlor for a major cheat on my diet. (I didn't have the milkshake during lunch)  Although, I rarely go to that particular ice cream parlor for some reason.  When I got my sundae and sat down in their indoor dining area I finally realized why I don't like going there.  The dining area is rather large, it's furnished in bright white metal chairs, white metal tables, white metal walls and white tile floor.  The place was full of people talking, mostly women jabbering away in high screechy voices that my poor old ears turn into piercing noise.  The combined chatter and reflected echoes were incredibly loud.  I couldn't hear myself think I don't know how people can talk in that environment.  If it wasn't for the acoustic tile ceiling I think the noise would shatter wine glasses.  It made me dizzy.

was there a Beatles thing about white?

    The White Album?

Wow!  I forgot what I was going to say about it.  Maybe it was a question like do I have the White Album?  if not is it available at Amazon?

I hate Andy.  No not my cousin Andy.  NO! Not Andy Griffith! No, not that Andy who ever that is unless you are talking about the Andy that comes up when one loads Poser for the first time.  The one in the default scene that Poser throws on us.

...summery here this weekend and for the holiday (70s - 80s) but not beastly hot like we have been getting the last several years around this time.

105° in Denver yesterday (which matched their all time record high) sparking wildfires which add to the misery.  I remember last summer here when it was in the upper 90s to 100s and the air was filled with smoke.  So far we have dodged that bullet.

Sizzling in the UK as well.  Glasgow Scotland had recorded a new record high of 89°.  Must be so hot that Swindon's weather page was knocked offline.

To get a good look inside to see what kind of damage might be in there.  It's difficult to see in there when the pupil is small and tight.

It's been high 80s around Oxford all week. Pleasantly hot, but not as opressive as the heat we had back in May. Of course, in the office with the renderers going, it is a little hotter!

    Tape over it.
    Lean a book against it.
Cover it with a black sock.
Drape a towel over it (not if you have a cat).

I want to make a character for Victoria 8 with Victoria tattooed on her chest.  People might think that is crazy but I did see a woman with the name Victoria tattooed on her chest.

    I still think it’s crazy

I do not know why the woman had Victoria tattooed all over her chest.  I did not ask.

Perhaps she had a bad memory and Victoria is her name. Although a stick-on label that said "Hi! My name is Victoria." Would be less painful and permanent.

I have the test done every year (glaucoma runs in my family), but the pressure puff test is not the only one they do. I get an optic nerve inspection - the're looking for changes in shape & colour, and a perimetry test (the little flashing lights box). There are further tests they can do if they start to have concerns. The puffer test is simple, cheap and reliable - no need to complicate it.
