A few weeks of cold to go for us, this time of year the Antarctic winds blow our way :)
Are you using The Force™?
What a drag it is getting old. I feel you Mick...
Do not have my computer with me but will check.
No, my notebook has a touchscreen. It might be a laptop but I call it a notebook. I left it at home today.
is this irony or paradox, parallax?
Grrr... no wifi where I am... I have to use my phone.
I hate using my phone to look at the forums... images are always so stretched out.
That and typing anything is annoying with these stupid fingers of mine...
I should have brought a different pair.
This is sooooo boring... I was going write some stuff for a story I’m writing, but I forgot to bring my writing brain and now I’m stuck with my WiFi iPad with no WiFi and no dumb things to write and my stupid iPhone with tiny keys...
Two frickn bars... what the hell... I’d probably get better reception in the lower amazon basin...
I’m currently waiting for my daughters at their Dojo... I have an hour to kill because this place is too far away from anything to be worth bothering to attempt to leave and come back, so usually I sit here and write in my car... but I’ve got nothing today.
A fairly big bright yellow crab-shaped spider just dropped onto my windshield and scurried over the huge dried seagull poop on the passenger side... charming.
I need to look up how Apple’s predictive spellcheck works... it keeps suggesting “Yoda”... it suggested “Yoda” for “today”, “crab” and “the passenger side”... but now that I just tried to type “Yoda” it’s acting like it never heard of him.
I’d look that up but any results would probably take five minutes to load...
It just occurred to me that the dojo has old wood siding... it’s an old wooden building... and the siding has a lot of gaps, knot holes, missing bits and warped areas... but each one has a bird nest jammed in it... there are probably like eight or ten... probably ten.
Ok... that was fun... I just spent about ten minutes chirping with a sparrow...
He was sitting on the low chainlink fence in front of me and I started chirping to him... puzzled the heck out of him and he landed on the hood... he chirped back, but he seemed very confused that I could be making the sounds... he flew up on the roof and peeked down at me... he flew away because a crow landed nearby and he had to get territorial...
Probably better off... I don’t need him getting offended and pooping in the open sunroof.
Birds are cute when they get confused and tilt their heads sideways...
I think it’s gonna rain soon... the sky is getting gloomy.
Well... I should go now... I’ve managed to expend an hour writing this...
Sorry to share my boredom.

Morning. Foggy night giving way to ever so foggy soft-lit and shadow free day, and rosy-cheek cold a while after the sun was supposed to come up :)
Ian Curtis so possibly all those enigmatic things ;)
Would rage against fading of the light but is going to be very hot in a few weeks and where are my sunglasses bright :)
My iPad connects to iphone hotspot via wifi...
I have a Samsung Galaxy J3. Auto-correct does stupid things. Sometimes it changes a word I spoke or typed. When I click the word, one of the suggestions is the word I actually said in the first place! It's like the phone is saying, "I thought that's what you said, but it didn't make sense so I replaced it." Of course, the replacement rarely makes any sense at all in the context of the rest of the sentence.
For a fun waste of time try checking out damnyouautocorrect.com. Funny, funny, funny...tears in your eyes and belly hurting funny!

I hate bugs in the home and on me.
got pt again today. will see if i can get thru a session without arguing.
refused to do the exercise bike.
arugued if i could ride a bike or walk without pain, i wouldn't need pt.
they wanted me to balance on one leg
argued if i could balance on 2 legs, wouldn't need the cane
they want me to skip to the graduation exercise.
they all healthy young ladies, how could they possibly understand.
non complaint - magic bus pass came!
t's a majik carpet ride, where the air is clean, canya tellme howto getto sezameestreet
Was riding a bike too much as a teenager that caused my younger brother to need hip replacments whilst still in his late 50s.
Keep reminding them that they are supposed to respect their elders.
And yes good on the bus pass, they are wonderful things. I can go on a magical mystery tour just to go shopping (local bus only goes one way round this and the next 2 villages, so it 20 minutes to get to the local shops and about 5 minutes to get back.)
I think the idea is to build your balance, build your strength, increase your flexibility. Not moving actually causes more pain than moving. The more you are sedentary, the more your hip and knee joints will ache when you do move. Balance is something your mind and body have learned, and it helps to relearn it. They are trying to help you. There is actually a type of lubrication in our joints. It sort of dries up when we don't move enough, just like any lube in mechanical joints, the joint will stiffen and will give resistance to movement. That is one of the things that causes the pain when you finally do try to move. You can easily notice this when you've been sitting for a long time, when you get up, the hips give you an argument. But after walking for a little while, they start to feel better. Our bodies are remarkable things, and capable of healing themselves to varying degrees, depending on the circumstances. But you have to do your part in activating that healing.

Yeah, the "balance on one leg" thing is so naive. Even when I was 20 years younger (only 50) and still a bodybuilder, active biker and a lean 220 pounds of hot muscle and I still had full head of hair, I'd noticed that certain body functions were failing, such as loose and periodically inflamed joints. The gym I was member of had some sort of "exam" to asses how "fit" we were. So, I took them up on their offer and this 25 year old Jazzersize trainer, thin as a rail Valley-girl with sweat socks as thick as watermelon rind, pink body suit, manicured nails, Rapunzel hair, and infuriating perpetual smile & happy voice is the "examiner" and she wants me to stand on one leg for as long as she could. Her words: "See, it's just this easy."
Didn't happen! That's when I realized that young people don't have a clue about old people.
Aye. I was lucky when I was training to build myself up to running a marathon as I had a guy helping me train who understood the fact that I had had Arthritis (or really the potential for arthritis) since my teens and kept it at bay with judicious exercise and good diet. He worked me out some really good excercise routines, sensible ones. I was in my early 40s he was late twenties. It was actually quite funny because he was a sprinter, and I was in for the long run. I actually found a gentle 5 mile run easier than he did on the couple of occasions he came out running with our crowd. I did finish the London Marathon with his help - not too swiftly but not too shabby for a first and only marathon.
Well, I can use my iPhone to get onto the Internet using data, and use it as a wifi hotspot for the iPad... But like Airdrop, sometimes it works, sometimes it don't, and mostly it doesn't when I need it to... And it uses up data... Stupid websites with 10 million video ads... Especially some news sites. Where I was yesterday is too far from any hotspots... I suspect some of the squirrels may have internet, but all of the routers seemed locked.
I made a friend today at Home Depot...
She's a Polyphemus Moth... I took her home and let her go in my yard... Actually she wouldn't let got, she kept clinging to my hand.
I named her "Mothara".
oh she's lovely
I wonder why Polyphemus - seems to have more than one eye
because it has one eye spot centralised in each of the back wings apparently
Hmm, if they say so.
Beautiful moth!
I know the "eyes" are to scare off potential predators, but really...I couldn't imagine eating something so furry. Not without a beer or something to wash it down. It would be like eating the small Welcome mat in front of my house, and I sure wouldn't try that without a good stiff drink first!
And if a drink makes me think I could eat the Welcome mat (or a giant furry moth), well then I'd be having worse problems than dry mouth!
Outline vaguely cat-like, Cho.
I can stand on one leg as long as I can stand on the other one at the same time.
This saves time, both legs at the same time
I can do that (unless I have to use the lady's room, then I cannot)
