The PC Coupons now go live on the last day of the previous month, so it sounds like you used the February coupons. instead of the January ones, (which of course were still good on that day.) You might try filing a support ticket if you indeed hadn't used you January coupons....
The coupon codes are often posted (and valid) sometime on the day before the first of the month. So it is possible you could have copied and pasted the new codes without even realiizing you were using the new codes.
There's only ever one pair of Plat Club codes showing in your account isn't there? Why on earth would they take them away early?
I was able to find many of the V4/M4 sale items in the store by filtering for only V4 and M4. I had to search through to find the things I remember seeing in the sale, but they're still there and I got the discount if I put four or more items into my cart. They just deleted the link to them up in the slide show. Anyway, you can still get some of those things if you're willing to work for it and search through the store for them. I just got five of them a minute ago. I guess it's a good idea, if there's a sale like this that says it will last for the next three days, to go ahead and check out with what's in your cart, then come back later if the sale is still there and buy more. The discount didn't go any lower after you had four items in the cart anyway, so it's a good idea to just check out and get what you have in one shopping session and then come back later to get more.
They don't take them away; the old codes are still good until the end of the month. They just give the new ones out early. If the new codes arte there, you just change the month number back one. I just found this out myself; I would have used my January PA coupon the last day of December had I known.....
Yeah I meant take them away from being displayed in your account, so when you think you're copying and pasting the current month's coupon you're actually using next month's. Is there any logic at all to doing this, and how were we supposed to know?
you could check in Richards Fun and games thread. it is the bottom sticky thread in the members only forum. the codes follow a format as well. only the month changes, or obviously at the end of the year that number changes as well.
Did you copy and paste the coupon from your account page when you made the purchase? If you did, did you manually change the month from 02 to 01? Usually for my account on the last day of the month, the number has already rolled over to the next months number, and the next months number did work for me once when I had already used the "current" month coupon, and a product was on a great sale.
No, I just copied and pasted, I never heard of the coupon changing before the new month so I didn't know there would be any need to alter it.
You might be able to file a ticket with sales and get your coupon back, they are really good about things like that (but I've never seen anything about this in the forums - it might be worth a try though).
To clarify the above point, I’m not sure when the actual codes displayed on the site change. I assume it’s in line with the actual day of the month.
The ‘coupons becoming actively early’ is purely done on the back end, to allow people who want to use the codes early, or just to get around any switchover issues, they can manually adjust the code.
Best bet is to contact CS, and they can dig into it further for you.
