Blowout Sale not working?

  • Huh - just ordered a load of stuff, realised I'd managed to miss some stuff out because of the mix-up over the sale ending early, come back and the sale is suddenly only on Daz Originals.

Is that intentional (if so, I'm hoping I'm not suddenly about to be charged for that - I have had mixups with the price I've been charged before, but I do now save my basket page before paying), or is this another mix-up?

I guess I can live with it if I'm not about to be charged more, but it will be a bit of a shame to not have the items I missed out.

Daz can't ask for more money after check-out, if that's your concern. If you have a cart set-up and it has chnaged then you should probably open a Sales Support ticket with a screen shot (given that tickets are taking longer than usual to process).

  • LOL, it was u for 5min (maybe longer), I tryed to complete my purchase, priceses are back to full. DAZ originals only left. From 200 items like 5 DAZ originals. Spended half day yesterday on picking itiems. Like I posted, you can not do bussines like that. DAZ should compensate creators, but not disapoint costumers after publicly declaring sale. I dont know is it even legal, but what ever.

I already bought a first batch yesterday. Filled my cart with Evilinnocence clothing for a second batch, but everything in my cart went up full price again, after having been back to sale price for an hour or so. The number of pages with the items for this sale went down from 29 to 7 (at 60 items per page, including the items I own.). With all of these glitches going on all of the time, it seems that keeping the merchandise in your cart over a longer period is at your own risk.

  • I'm furious. All the items I have in my cart are now back up to full price. If that is the way DAZ wants to run sak,les then I no longer want to shop here.

Thank you! It was a much Bigger sale last night when it started with a different banner front and center....now there isn't a banner unless you follow the link someone provided.

I still have the newsletter link in my mailbox. I just checked; half of the stuff I bought yesterday was removed from the sale; at 90% off I guess I still cannot complain much. Just lost an hour or so selecting stuff for my second batch.

No, I just mean that by buying my first batch before the trouble started, very early in the sale, at least I got part of what I wanted at 90% off. My first impulse was to wait until sunday, but then I had this little voice remembering sale glitches from the recent past, so decided to buy my first batch without delay.

For my second batch, I took too much time.

That's what I want to believe (and rational thought about how the system should work would say that), but I've had issues with discounts happen twice, and by the second time, I'd started checking the price at the PayPal checkout carefully (assuming that the first time I'd missed the error) - I'm all but certain it can't have been wrong, but it still later came through on both my Daz and PayPal accounts as more.

I may be being paranoid, but a 90% discount disappearing off most of a sizeable order would be a real shock to my bank account!

As all these thinge were "nice to buy", but not something I definitely need, I dumped my cart totally- alongside with everything else I put inside.

DAZ should be very carefull - that's a sure way to anger customers and drive them away. For most things I look for there are other places to buy, maybe not so cheap, but with more reliable sales.

I got an order confirmation from DAZ3D per email with everything at 90% off. I consider that binding.

Had this be a flash sale, I would have been okay with what happened - but it wasn't. If DAZ were in my part of the world, it would get sued for wrong advertising like that.

  • I put in 3 hours with selecting and comparing items for my cart.

I give the good folks at DAZ the benefit of the doubt; they have been very good to help me and almost always resolve purchase/price problems in my favour.

But I wasted a lot of time last night.

I will keep everything in my cart in case there is a better resolution to this, but I am disappointed.

  • So this morning I poured myself a nice cup of coffee, ready to sit down and take a pass through the massive V4/M4 sale and POOF it is gone.  Now I have no excuse not to clean the house.  Not cool DAZ. sad

  • Welp, haven't shopped here in three months anyway.  Thanks for wasting my time and saving me money to spend at places that can actually set up consistent sales!  no

That sort of sums up my feelings. I sort of like V4 and M4 stuff because they make for reasonably efficient background characters, but they're not something I need to have.

Had I not got in vaguely the order I wanted before they completely changed what was in the sale, I would certainly have just dumped the entire basket.

DAZ needs a working QMS (Quality Management System). Or a better store software and some administrators who know what they are doing. Not this"I'm saying this, but I do that, and to the hell with what our customers expect".

  • A bit of a bummer. Had the Spiritfoxy textures for dragonkeeper outfit in my cart last night but full price this morning

Hi, same here along with some Arki outfits for V4 that I didn't own that were in my cart. One moment there was 31 pages of discounted Gen 4 and now there is only seven pages and the items I had chosen are all full price again. Oh well. It will save me some money.

Yesterday, this sale was up. I couldn't pass by getting some stuff I had passed up on previously, so went and installed M4 and V4 into DS ..played around with some old stuff to see if it would fit G2 or G# ... none of it did ... So with the pricing as alow as it was , 90% off, I put 12 items into my cart .. total $20. I wanted to peruse some more but figured I would do it Saturday...

I went in this morning and the sale was gone ... even though the ad stated through Sunday. The price went up to $185

Whats up with that, DAZ? false advertising or what?

the M4-V4 sale is not up on my page at all ... no banner ad, no products. I had 12 items in the cart as well.
DAZ often does their best to end my business with them. I have enough stuff to last 5 eternities already. Maybe its a sign I should stop spending on more.

  • I was doing the same thing. Got busy on Friday but the sale said through Sunday so I wasn't worried... came in and the prices were ten times what they were the previous day.

I like the M4/V4 stuff, but not enough to pay full price for stuff that's been on the market for nearly a decade.

Hopefully they fix it, because I'm well past the necessities stage with V4/M4 items so it takes discounts of 66+% to actually close a sale on what's still on the racks.

When I saw the sale yesterday, I figured I might be able to clear out most of the V4/M4 stuff still in my wishllist.

I was up to $90+ in my cart with the sale and trimmed it down to $60+ and planned to do some more fine tuning today, but now that $60+ is $500+

Well, they advetised that it would be a blowout that ended Sunday...apparently they had a different idea of what blowout meant than everyone else in the civilized world.

Seriously, though, I expect them to fix this by the end of today so I'm keeping my cart together until then.  This looks to me like someone pulled the plug early and nobody is there at DAZ to actually fix it, it being a saturday and DAZ having never figured out that retail stores are fully staffed every day of the week.  But...

WHOOHOO!  GREAT START FOR MARCH MADNESS!!!!!  Look at how many people they've managed to tick off already!  :p

Take a screen shot of your cart and attach it to a Sales Support ticket please.

  • Submitted ticket but didn't see where I can add pictures. Will send to them in their response email, I suppose.

And for those of us who gave up and already dumped everything back out of the cart?

I'll do it, but I'm not exactly sure what the point is.  For one, I wasn't done building my cart yet, so it doesn't address the problem of the things that I hadn't added but had planned to... but, more importantly, this isn't a case of one or two people not getting the correct price.  This is a case of the vast majority of the items that were in a sale no longer being on sale... around thirty 60-item store pages worth of products.  That's not going to be reconstructed from a handful of people sending in their carts.   Beyond that, sales should have an exact record of record of exactly what is supposed to be on sale and when... they've certainly been able to pull up those prices in the past when I've had to deal with customer service.  And this promotion was clearly marked in multple places as running through Sunday, so that info should be readily available.
