Wow, this is a disappointing development. I'm a Poser-only customer and own tons from here from years' past. Even so, this "blow-out" sale had twenty-odd pages (logged in) of things I didn't have. I grabbed a small cart of a few higher-priced bundles yesterday. I was going to come back pick out a few smaller, high-priority things from my wishlist today. However, the sale is now down to only five or so pages (logged in) with only DOs left. I had wanted a few things from The AntFarm, Prae, and a few other PAs... Oh, well. I hope if it's a "glitch" it will be fixed, but... *sigh*
I'm glad I was smart enough to check out the higher priced bundles I wanted yesterday. As a Poser-only customer, it was really nice to get a nice discount without having to jump through the "stacking, buy X New Releases" to get a decent discount. So, I was going to spend a little money, but... Well, I'm a bit disappointed, to say the least, because the banner said I had until Sunday. Which meant I thought I had until Sudnay to pick through the cateogry without most of the items being pulled, save a handful of DOs. It's not often that good deals like that come along without the "buy New Releases" strings attatched. Unlike a few Poser-only customers I'm friends with, I won't buy inexpensive DS-only stuff to trigger discounts on Poser-compatible stuff, so I was looking forward to getting a few more shiny toys.
I hadn't bought anything yet, because I thought I had until Sunday, but had several outfits picked out. I'd still like to get them as I use M4 (and CrossDresser), so I'm hoping DAZ honors the original ad. I'm not sure how this went so wrong unless they're testing new software behind the scenes.
My $27 dollar cart went to $244 and the number of items on sale went from ~20 pages down to only 2 pages... I put all the stuff in my cart on to my wish list for the next time DAZ has a V4 / M4 sale. I have too much stuff already but some of this was for a render series I'm planning for Poser.
I'm not too upset... after all the sky won't fall because of a sale that blew out before it was supposed to blow out. Cheer up! You get the challenge of being more creative.
The current sale is not the same sale at all. 28 pages of items down to five. Nothing in my shopping cart from last night getting a discount this morning.
Unfortunately, I can't. I was so disgusted that I cleared it before I even came to the forums. VERY disappointing.
I'm surprised that the sale has not been reinstated. This is not an error or a mistake. It said on the banner that the sale would last until Sunday. This is just clearly wrong.
It's easy to see when something is clearly wrong here, because for me, Daz gets it right most of the time.
On the brighter side, as many have said, if this is not fixed I will save a few bucks!
Save a lot of bucks. I was coming her daily checking for sales on my wishlist items. This has severely soured my enthusiasm on the whole place... especially since I don't even have a screencap of the 20 items I had in cart at the time because I didn't think to come to the forums until after I'd cleared my cart in disgust. I can name some of them, but a number were also impulse buys because they were discounted so much (spending $30 on a ten year old model is silly to me).
I suppose I could try to make a list from memory, but I don't know that that proves anything in terms of a trouble ticket and going from memory I only have 9 actual items I'm 99% sure were in the cart at the time.
Well, that ended quickly.
Didn't even get to put anything in my cart yesterday and what's left now for M4 is just a page of stuff I'm not particularly interested in or have need of at the moment. All the PA products appear to have disappeared from the sale, is this a glitch or should they never have been added in the first place? Very confusing, not to mention disappointing.
Dear DAZ,
Could you have your weekend sale start on Monday please, and run for 2 days... that way, there is someone in the store to talk to, and at least explaine or fix.

Took the time go go through all this older stuff that it might be nice to have for the studio, not stuff I'd buy otherwise given its age. Got all this stuff in the cart, thinking there was no rush, and then... full price.

I had already sent in 2 tickets before coming here and seeing this post. Should I still send in a screen shot of my cart? I had 70 things in my cart!! I'm sure they are getting tons of tickets about this so I feel kind of bad about my 2 but I'll send in another if the cart will be honored and that this is a glitch. I was totally excited about my full cart waiting for me today and seeing that it was full price this morning when I logged in.
The Cyborg V4 on the site's sale banner is a PA item. If PA products were never meant to be in the sale, then it wasn't just a "whoops, accidentally toggled the wrong setting on the store", it was a much bigger goof-up.
Well, I am more than a tad upset. More than 30 items in my cart and only 2 left now. And this proves to me again why I stopped shopping here!
It's not often that I feel disappointed, frusted and angry enough to go verbal more than once on a given occasion, but this is it. Bad, very bad customer experiance. Does DAZ really expect us to forget about this easy-peasy? DAZ should think of something: Customers who have already bought all the really needed basics might switch to other stores anytime if not pleased. Because.other stores have good goods as well. Sometimes even the same PAs. Maybe I pay a bit more. But never ever did they have a sale with these glitches DAZ has again and again. If they say, x% until date Y, they certainly do honor that. Up to the last minute.
And If they hadn't wanted the PA products, they should have worded the banner differently!
what is sad, I'm now getting to where even if they redo it, I'm not sure I will buy the stuff. This happens quite often actually, where things change price at what seems a whim, so some shoddy auto changing in the store pricing, perhaps a mis-statment of the sale,or whatever. Usually customer service will make good on it, and usually things will be corrected in the store even on weekends, but this seems like nothing is going to happen, if at all, until Monday.
In the meantime, there is another huge sale, supposedly for the weekend. Is that going to end today or tomorrow? And now, I have a choice, blow off what was, or buy in the new sale. Its one or the other. OR ... not buy anything at all until we see what happens with the V4/M4 ALL WEEKEND sale which should have ended 11:59PM UTAH time on Sunday.
Rats! I had 49 items in my cart all go back to normal pricing. I was coming back to pare down my list, since even at the discount the total still exceeded what I wanted to spend. Ah well, time sunk but funds saved for March. I will leave my cart set up for a while in case the sale comes back.
took valuable time to browse/decide... discretionery older stuff that was worth maybe a tad more than the sale prices to me, so felt pleased for the opportunity/deals

still have cart and will wait and see. I've had major problems w DAZ before, but to my recollection, they usually honor this sort of thing. but sending a help-ticket to 'force' the issue - not worth the trouble.
but even to this point, I don't think they realize the damage this causes to their goodwill, and trust-me, (and apparently others above) the damage us cumulative - when elsewhere is easier, that where i usually go.

The "Best Of" sale appears pretty scant as well, I'm pretty sure there've been more than 70 top selling items that would go in the categories listed. Of course, they might be only counting from January 2018. Anyway, does not seem like much of a "Massive Blowout Weekend" to me ... unless maybe they mean the sort of blowout you get when you run over some really sharp objects and end up in a ditch with four flat tires.
Its like 10% of what they offered and 1% of my cart items in it. That is sad to - change you weekend sale over night and act like this is the way it should be. Some people think its all good. Doing that instead of answering, why you changed your sale tiems, why you hided sale from internet page, why you waisted your costumer time and trust...
but now only 1/6 of the products... most are gone. only 2 of the 12 i had in my cart are there now

I'm going with this option at present. There were a few things in the best seller sale that I might have been interested in, but none of them quite enough for me to be happy about being messed around like this.
I dumped my cart. May try later but I doubt it is worth the trouble.
My cart is still at FULL PRICE. I did submit a help ticket with screebn shots opf the cart at full pricce but of cours I didn't have screen shotsat the discounted price because I didn't expect the sale to disappear. My attitude is that if DAZ does not want to honor their sale then I don't want to do busuiness with them. I can spend my CG budget elsewhere andf only get what freebies there may be here.
Sure, but when you have problem, it would be wise to have one sales or marketing person to come to office on weekend or at least provide info from home. If company want to be somehow professional. If it is run like family shop, when everything is closed on weekends and when owners on holydays, then sure. But then question is can I trust thousands of dollars to such company and its digital services? Going to bet, its night on my side of globe :)
