Complaint:  I did my laundry on Tuesday (2 days ago) but there was something in the washer that shouldn't have been in the washer and it got gazillions of teeny tiny microscopic white fibers over everything and was like snow over all my clothes. angry  While still wet I shook the most of it off outside the laundry and figured that the dryer would fluff off all the rest of it and suck it out the exhaust.  Well, it seemed to... BUT yesterday in the early evening relaxing in my easy chair vegging out in front of the TV, after wearing fresh clean clothes and underwear all day, I got the worst case of crotch rash I've ever had. surprise  I realized what the problem was and took a long shower and packed up everything I'd washed yesterday and did it all again today.  frown  We'll see if this is any better.  Thankfully I had a brand new unopened pack of underwear handy.

'Nother complaint:  While doing my laundry again today I had lunch at Wendy's and on my way out some middle aged people were coming in as I was leaving and one of them held the door for me and said "Here you go old-timer." frown  Do I really look that ancient? sad  (LG looks at recent photo of Prince Charles who is 3 days older than he is, and panics, but secretly hopes that it's the 3 days that makes the difference indecision.)

Non-complaint:  I got the door held for me today! yes

...I usually encounter washer (and sometimes dryer) woes at public laundromats.

Bone and joint gnomes been working overtime on me these last couple days, didn't roll out of bed until 10:45 this morning and still aching all over. No snow (thankfully) but still getting chilly damp nights here.

Heard a steam locomotive this morning at the station nearby. Most likely the Shasta Daylight doing an excursion run.

Friday the 13th.  Yay! need to go buy a lotto ticket.

T-Day (tax day here) moved to Tuesday 04/17.

We have little steam trains that do tours up into the mountains during the summer,  but I am always upset because North Wales has happier trains up on the Llangollen railway

    ...nice.

Trains here in the States are for the most part very unhappy as well.

This is close enough that I can hear the trains on a Summer's day with the windows open . . .

    ...beautiful.

Seems the UK tends to value history a bit more. Love the fact some locomotives have names.

Here in Portland we have are fortunate to have two operating steam locomotives, the aforementioned Shasta Daylight and "#700" from the Portland Seattle and Spokane railway.

..looks like a nice ride.  Maybe when I ever make it to the UK and Europe I'll have to check it out.

Long past time in my estimation!  But maybe that's because

I'm sick of the snow and cold!!!!!

Actually got to 62f today...non-complaint!  Tomorrow is the nicest forecast day for the next six days, though.  After that, back to the 40's and low 50s.  sad

I went outside in a short-sleeved shirt today; it was a breezy day and still was warm. A bit of heaven comes along sometimes. angel

...we may see a couple of days like that in a week.

Then again the forecasters here are known to use a dart board.

Nevermind, GPU-Z was reporting a wrong value when the video card is idle.

...not yet (almost 60° right nw when it was supposed to be only 51° today)

Like I said, they apparently use a dartboard here for the forecast.

...bugger, pub I go to changed personnel around, no more Food Network on Friday evenings, only sports like every other place (and usually ones, or teams I have no interest in). Last night it was hockey (winter sport, No more winter here for me either, should be done by now but will go into June with the playoff schedule). The match was between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, two cities where the only ice they usually encounter is what's put in their drinks or comes out of a snow cone machine. The pre-match "festivities" made me feel I was watching the WWF on ice.

    ...bread and circuses I guess.

First thing out of the mouth of my professor in one of my classes on electronic communication was the definition of "Communication"... "An exchange of mutually understood symbols".  Where the operative phrase is "mutually understood".  In our modern world of TwitterSpeak, overused acronyms and multi-cultural assemblies, the important phrase of that definition is being forgotten.

Speaking of multi-cultural assemblies,... I've been watching the British TV show "If You Can't Pay, We'll Take It Away" where the Bailiffs often try to repossess people's automobiles and are often given a car's "Log Book" (which is always rejected as "Not Proof of Ownership").  What is a "Log Book"?  It looks official and they all look the same.  Is it a proof of vehicle registration?  What does it log?  Does it keep milage, or auto history, or what?

A logbook is NOT proof that you own the car. Your logbook or V5C registration certificate is proof that you are the registered keeper of your vehicle, which only means that you're responsible for registering and taxing the vehicle. A logbook is very important if you ever sell your car, or if you're buying a used car.

I have to admit I have never been quite certain how I prove I do actually own rhe vehicle that I paid good money for.
However I never held the log book for my company vehicle, although I had 24/7 usage of it.
