One thing you can say for sure about a pod of whales is awe-inspiring, terror and wonder all at once so wouldn’t be at all surprised :)
A fair amount of storm damage in the hood today and scratchy eyes from all the dust and pollen :)
Hey nice render :)
That is beyond cool!!!!!! :-)
Schweet! :-)
Of course.. there's also an odd instrument called a whalesail, used a lot about 20 years ago in New Age music. :-)
Complaint: insomnia sucks. Might as well get up and get some Craigslis posting done... :-|
Sure hope Thursday is nice, I'm down to two chicken thighs and a pack of hot dogs. Rain or shine, have to shop or starve. :-(
I get insomnia once in a while, really sucks. But I just go to sleep until it goes away.
I missed pharaonic Egypt too! I missed the chance to ride the titanic. Oops it sank.
Wish that worked for me. I'm stressed out about getting to/from the grocery store, there's no good option, just a choice of evils. On one hand, a long walk to and from on modestly level ground. On the other hand, a somewhat shorter walk to the bus stop.. up a modestly steep hill.
There's no win here, and I have to choose one! Bus pass is $2.50 so it's affordable, but that's less food money and that would pay for tortillas and salsa. :-|
Sucks. Can't wait for this all to be over.
On to good news, since I was awake I went on a Craigslist posting spree and put $300 worth of stuff up for sale at decent prices. I still have my plasma lightning lamp, my leather and ebony wood cane, my brass and leather chair cane, my collapsable hand truck, my wireless MIDI controller with case, my entire customized guitar setup with case, and my practice amp to put up for sale - that's close to $700 worth of gear if it all sells!! That's March rent, pizza, and beer with maybe some chicken wings. :-)
It's no fun ending up in a lifeboat in ice cold water... :-O
No shopping today, fog and a light drizzle that would soak me in minutes. Alarm turned off, aspirin taken for muscle tension headache, sound generator setto medium rainfall snzzzzzzzzzz...
i asked the internet about whalesail, it showed me a soggy biscuit ??
As long as we're talking about trains. I'd forgotten that I'd ridden the train from Amsterdam to Hamburg then on to Berlin & back to Amsterdam.
I think I also rode a train in Sydney, Austrailia locally within the city. Not sure though.
But I am sure that while in Austraila I almost rode the train from Alice Springs back to Sydney, but decided to fly instead. I now wish I'd taken the train and made a trip through Coober Pedy to see the opal mines. Another opportunity missed.
opals pretties
Atlantis sank. mebbe in the Atlantic ocean. and thats why we call it the atlantic ocean?
complainnnnt UPS tracking number hasnt updated since Feb 10th. my 8 core could be near or far right now.
Google is your friend. Searched for "etymology atlantic"
"late Middle English: via Latin from Greek Atlantikos, from Atlas, Atlant- (see atlas). The term originally referred to the Atlas Mountains in North Africa, hence to the sea near the west African coast, later extended to the whole ocean."
As for "Atlantis", it is now generally believed that Atlantis was a prosperous civilization on a volcanic island (Thera in the Santorinni Archipelago) in the Mediterranean Sea destroyed by a HUGE explosion over 3500 years ago. https://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/08/060823-thera-volcano.html It is also conjectured that debris and long range effects from this volcanic explosion explains some of the plagues in Egypt mentioned in the Bible.
No idea there.. only one person ever used it, maybe she never posted. This was ages ago. :-|

Soooo...when you were sucking on a binkie, I was sucking on a doobie...or the water pipe I built.
Dana
I saw that, and thought of you. Looks like it has poseable keys! Is it all of them (like the harpsichord) or just the center area?
Dana
Yes but it isn’t *ahem* very polite https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellipse
