Good morning everyone!  Bright, sunny and warm out, despite the forecast calling for rain.  Not a bloody cloud in the sky, if there's rain it's hundreds of miles away.

Finally put the guitar up for sale - despite months of trying, there's just no way I can play it any more.  I miss fretting strings I can't feel, I can't feel the pick, I drop it.. it's not a matter of hand strength, it's neuropathy. :-( Time to become a composer, and let the computer do the actual playing!

BBQ time again!  I have 4 HUGE drumsticks I'm going to slow-and-low today, just washed my bbq brush, broke out the grill rack for the air fryer, I'm ready to go!  Yeeeeee-hawww! :-)

    Time for more decaf argh...

...I wonder if the person writing those forecasts doesn't come from Portland because that's been the case for the last several weeks here (last Sunday was first first dry day in a while).

Hard to say.  I think it's a gnome or something.

...a friend of the "bone gnomes' no doubt.

    I think so...

Two mesquite drumsticks slow cooking!  This mesquire bbq sauce sure tastes good...!

...OK now you are making n me hungry.  When next month's benefits are deposited in my account, finally going to go out and get an air fryer.

I bet you might find one used.  I hope you can get one cheaply!!!!

...probably will be new as I'm going to go to brick & mortar stores so I can actually look at the different kinds available.  Haven't seen them at any of the second hand stores I went to this month.

Non-complaint:  I got my money back!  Yea!  Happy dance!  Oh, frabjous day.  Callooh callay, I'm chortling with joy!

Remember back around Christmas I tempted the on-line auction gods and seemed to get a fantastic deal with some gems acquired via a "No reserve" auction at which nobody else was bidding?  Long story short; the gems were won for a pittance but they wanted to charge me $500 shipping, surprise I balked, so they sent me a new invoice for which the "shipping" was only $100. frown Still a good deal for the 6 gems I won in the auction.  I sent them the $113 via my credit card.  But of course the gems never showed up, nor did I get any notification they'd been shipped.  I complained by email.  No reply.  I complained again by certified postal mail.  No reply.  I complained by phone.  I waited and waited and waited."

Well, yesterday I'd finally given up and decided I'd been purposely swindled so I went ahead and answered the "How do you like our auctions?" survey email that had been sent from the main auction host company and I blasted them with the truth. angry Today I got an email from the main auction host company that my charges had been refunded, then a few minutes later I got a notice from the actual auction house that sold the gems that my charge had been refunded (or will be within 10 days).  So,  baring evil fate I will get my money back!  Yea!  Happy, happy! smileyyes

I think someone at the auction house selling the gems got reamed over the coals.  I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall of that phone conversation.  devil (Yes, I know I'm mixing several metaphores, but I like metaphore stew.) indecision

Maybe roommate troubles as she keeps talking to herself about "get out of here" and "I do not like you" and stuff like that.

Thunderstorms all last night, rainy and grey today.  Temps in the mid-70fs, though, a nice break fro the mid-80fs. Very quiet outdoors, all the birds are hiding from the rain and commute hours are over for now.

Will have to shop when the weather clears, getting low on veggies.  Supposed to be nice tomorrow. :-)
