But only 45% + a Mediocre free Item....

I still have Animate2 on my Wishlist with this offer I'm going tom pass.

But If someone is interested in Game Developer Licences it is probably an reasonable Deal. Those go on sale rarely...

Subscribe to THIS thread (click the star on the right of the thread title), and set your preferences to e-mail you with new posts to subscribed threads. To do this, go to your Profile (click on the blue cogwheel at the top right, select your username, then on the new page click on the LOWER cogwheel, and select "Edit profile") , then Notification Preferences (on the right), check "Email" next to "Notify me when people comment on my bookmarked discussions.", and click the "Save preferences" button.

This way you will get an e-mail notification when there is a new post to this thread. Note, that you will only get one e-mail, until you read the thread, not a new email for every new post. After you read the thread, you will get another e-mail, when another post is made.

For this to be of value, we should make general discussion in this thread as rare as possible, and mostly post the start of the actual sales.

While we have not seen any Daz connect only releases since MM, we are are also not sure if Daz has abandoned that persuit. It would be interesting to see how game developer license remains useful with encrypted only content (unless Daz or PAs agree to deliver unencrypted content to licensees or something of that sort).

New items have been added to the sale since yesterday. If you checked it out yesterday, you might want to take another look at the items in the sale.

I'm not sure why the sale says "excludes new releases" and goes right ahead and puts the new releases on the sale page with no discount. :P :D

Because it's easier and less error-prone to use an existing category than to hand-assemble a new category, especially if some items are close to the 60-day mark and might be new when you create the category but not new when the sale starts (or gets extended).

Maybe that's why it's called where's Waldo. You have to search for the items on sale ;P

Encrypted content can still be exported to non-native formats so its use under the Game Developer License would not be affected.

If the exported formats are as good as the native ones (say in terms of polycount), what's the point of encryption then? Or are we suggesting otherwise?

This was discussed at length in the various threads on Connect and is off topic to this thread. Sicne I'm posting anyway, the export formats all lose at least some of the features (potentially) supported by DS so no, you can't round trip to get an exact but unencrypted copy of the encrypted content.

Thanks for the clarification Richard. Atleast we now know that Connect is not dead.

Also without digressing further from the topic I wonder which would be more beneficial - paying game developer license through daz (assuming daz retains a portion of the payment) and still settling for encrypted content (in case of connect only) or hiring the PAs directly and getting the content in the formats one desires?

Also noteworthy: although new items are not discounted in the sale, they do trigger the feature items to become freebies. So if you're buying the new softwares anyways...

The software sale promos have moved across the banner to the other side of the gift card promo. I initially thought it was over. Perhaps they were distracting from the new figure launch.

Completly right. For PC+ Members this is a pass if you don't urgently need one of the bundles. the 40-50$ range is what i normaly pay for new Pro Bundles. For last generation Bundles that to expensive....
