Obviously, we want DAZ only to add things to the FastGrab list, not take them away.

Then we can complain that there are too many items on the page and that it's impossible to tell which are the items we've seen before.

...like I said, now watch the items that are there now will be around for at least a week.

Would also be nice to see flash sales on some new vendors rather than the same ones again. I mean, how many times recently has Dreamlight been featured?

If you are subscribed to his newletter (typically 2-4 emails a day) you will know on his own website Dreamlight has more sales than DAZ, which is quite an achievement.

...yeah but his store was also featured in the recent "stacking" Flash Sale and again not too long before that.

...and this is on top of all the email "special offers" and recurring "one time only" sales.

Also seems over the last several months I've seen pretty much a certain same set of stores being featured. Looking for some "new blood" so to say.

Flash Sales and Fastgrab are the only ones anymore that offer a nice simple flat discount (without any gimmicks or games) for those of us who cannot spend 100s every week. Crikey with PC+ I'm not even purchasing as many new PC items anymore as they are no longer 1.99$.

We need some love too.

I think FG would get much more exposure if it was featured as the first link from the left on the rotating banner instead of the memberships (which can be accessed from a different link anyway).

Adding anything and not removing a bit sounds particularly appealing to me... I agree with KK - FastGrab and Freebie Landing Page (the Thrilling Twelve that changes bi-weekly, so we should get a new collection this Tuesday - on the 24th) are the most exciting places now.

The freebies and fastgrab seem to be neglected these days. Freebies seems inconsistent and I've all but stopped looking at fastgrab. I've also stopped participating in sales. I'm feeling now that PC+ isn't working out so well for me.

Mostly now I just show all products and sort by price low to high and go from there.

I've complained before that the sales rules are too complicated, and most of the time you can't really tell what's on sale until you get all the right items in your cart. This is the opposite of "fun".

To cap it off, recent sluggish response on the 3D printing EULA has made me more concerned about licensing. I don't necessarily have a problem with the EULA, I just have lingering feelings of "wtf just happened and why did it take so long?"

I'm going to need to re-assess my PC+ membership before it comes due this summer.

I doubt DAZ wants the freebie section and/or Fastgrab as their focus depts, I know I wouldn't. If anything, I am surprised it is not hidden more.

Well playing devils advocate, I won't complain as the alternative, no fastgrab and no flash sales are something i could not live with out. I was a PC member for years and pretty much have all the items that I needed from that category by the time I opted out of it and haven't really missed it much, especially since i still get good sales on items without being in the PC.

I rarely buy anything at full price unless I need it for a project or a commission piece, which then I can pass the extra cost on to the client.

I am not much of a freebie person, don't rely on them or search for them actively, so while i appreciate them having them time to time, I wouldn't notice much if they went away, but I have noticed more lately and gotten some good ones

All in all, DAZ has more sales and deals than most other sites, with rendo coming in 2nd, so as long as they keep doing what they are doing, I will keep buying.

...I am not much of a freebie person, don't rely on them or search for them actively...

Freebies and Fast Grabs often provide objects that, while not being the focus of a piece, might be needed as secondary props for a scene. If I can get something like pencils, old piles of tires, or a welding kit for free, then why not collect it FOR FREE (or for "almost free", as the case may be)?

I'm not frugal for the sake of being frugal and I'm not financially strapped, but a no-cost purchase now can one day save me from having to purchase it for a scene I have not yet imagined. Or worse yet, having to spend additional time, effort, and labor to model and texture it myself some day in the future when the product may be no longer available (PAs sometimes discontinue items).

So I keep checking. It's my responsibility to do so. :cheese:

Understood and agree Pixel. I am a modeler also and tend to make my own props when needed plus I have a pretty big object library just in case. :-)

...I have to be frugal as I am on an extremely tight budget. Useful freebie props like the Decor Basics are extremely welcome in my library/runtime. I often hit the freebie pages of sites like Rendo, Share CG, and even Turbosquid (although the pickings there are slim because most of the items are in .3ds format).

The "BOGO-ised" and punch sales do nothing for me as I don't have 100s I can spend every week (if I want to keep a roof over my head).

Modelling? Well if they ever got around to fixing the instabilities and bugs in Hexagon and brought it into the "here and now" (64 bit), I might give it another try. (would love to see the 55$ I paid for it years ago actually do something).

I'm somewhat disappointed in the PC+ as well because new PC items (since August of last year) are no longer 1.99$. I just got a three month membership to see If I still wanted to continue as a member, and hopefully get a few extra discount %'s during MM (as long as it isn't a "gimmicky" sale). Should that happen, since I already paid my 24$ (and won't get any credit for leaving early), will just ride out the three months, pick up my monthly/weekly freebies, use the coupons, and then let it expire.

...apologies, just longing for the "good old days" when sales were simple and straightforward and Fastgrab required you to act "fast".

LMAO! I got 4, money well spent!

I'd, love a Stonemason, ForbiddenWhispers, ironman13, or Morris flash sale.

I agree. Oh well, Mec4D will probably show up, at least for a day, sometime during MM. So don't get the tattoo yet and save the money.

    I don't understand Daz's sale advertising thinking.

If they start a new sale, presumably they want some people to see it, and take advantage of it.

So why aren't new sales generally left-most in the scrolling list of sales, instead of buried in the middle (or even nearly right-most) where it'll be easy to be missed?

    ...same here.

...and wasn't Neftis just featured last week?

...AntFarm, Ironman13, or NFXStudios would do right for me.

Hmm, if we are posting our flash wishes...

I'd like to vote for ForbiddenWhispers, Aave Nainen, ShiftingImages, Saiyaness, Sickleyield, Laticis and DarioFish to go on sale.

Looks like we're all going to be living off those instant ramen noodles for the foreseeable future.

The weird thing is, I thought I'd already given Stonemason all my money. But no, it seems there are still things to buy.
