True, but it can be used on anything . . .

Except for purchasing additional Daz Gift cards.

    If I purchase a $200 gift card with a discount of 12% ( - $24), it'll cost me $176
Then if I could purchase another $200 gift card with $176 in credit, my credit balance would be $224
Repeat and if I could purchase another $200 gift card with $176 in credit, my credit balance would increase to $248

Do that 100 times and my credit balance would be about $2,400 which cost me only $176

But alas, Daz Gift cards can't be used to purchase additional gift cards . . . . I just tested. :P

Your post also explains why you can't buy Gift Cards with Store Credit. :)

when did the clock start ticking on the 8 hours?

Not sure, I'm on Pacific Time and I noticed it at about 10am my time, 11am DAZ time, but it might have been up already.

If you buy a gift card, double-check recipient. Mine came up with someone else's name. (and no, I only use my personal computer).

    I let customer service know.

Mine did that once. I just typed over it, I didn't report it, maybe I should have. It should NOT be happening though.

Yes, you definitely want to fix that. Unless the recipient name that comes up is mine, of course. In that case, just hit 'Submit'. Thanks.

    Greetings,
This happens constantly. Email addresses and names exposed, and I've reported it, and I guess it's just not something they have the bandwidth to fix right now. I *feel* like it should just be a matter of removing the gift certificate page from their Varnish cache, but I suppose it's possible there's a CDN issue as well.

It's a serious bug, but they've got their hands full with other stuff right now I guess.

It seems like somehow our account ID's are triggering it. When It first happened, I took a screenshot for customer service. Went away for a while, came back, tried again, and got another different identity. Someone with a slightly Norwegian sounding name.

The third time it was fixed though and had it didn't trigger.

It seems like a PRETTY serious bug and since it has been around a few weeks ago when I got my last gc, I can only assume DAZ must have recently moved to Syria or something , to have their hands tied up like this :/

I re-fixed this, you will have to type your email and name in the gift card order page, but it beats what was happening.

Looks like the fix got unfixed a little while back because of some updates to other styling pages brought the old version of this page along. We should be done with changes like this now, but if you see anything else that is this bad send me a PM.

Just to point out that Stonemason's The Enchanted Forest is in today's 80% M4/V4 sale.

Also not obviously related to M4, some Nightshift3D sci-fi ships.

Also to point out that while you need a 'new release' in your cart to qualify for the 80% off pricing, new releases include some fairly inexpensive PC+ items. So if you had your heart set on something in the 80% off category, the price of admission can be as low as $2.

Perhaps it's because the sci-fi ships come with M4/V4 poses?

    Where does it say that?

It did earlier today - conditions of the Throwback Thursday sale seem to have changed in the past couple hours.

The email newsletter says a new item purchase is required, but the store banner doesn't (at least not now). I just checked out with an item at 80% off with no new item in my cart.

Yes, that's how it was earlier. It was a necessity. Appears to have changed.

Anybody know if this is an only-for-today sale? Budget's practically non-existent so I'm sorting the wanna-haves from the absolutely gotta-haves in my cart. Not an easy job with so much of my wishlist showing prices like these and almost a week till payday. :sigh:

It's called "Throwback Thursday" so my guess would be it will end at midnight DAZ time.

Well, not gonna take any chances of missing out then. Still gonna be a lot left behind, though. Oh well, there's always another sale.

Btw, the Stonemason and Nightshift 3d stuff seems to be missing now.

Wondering why the Hightop Sneakers for the V4 Girls are included, but the Hightop Sneakers for the M4 Guys aren't. :-/ Too late for DAZ to fix it if this is (as likely) a day sale.

...that's interesting as the last time I tired to use a new release PC item for another promotion, it didn't work.

It's always worth testing, in my experience. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

In this case, it worked. But then the promotion was revised so that you didn't need a new release at all, so it became moot.
