Which is why I also said...
Ive been trying to test out the plugin by uploading a character, but my upload always hangs at 80 percent is this normal?
It takes time to process depending on the complexity of the character, it might take 10-20 min or even more if the character is complex as we process the geometry and repair it for 3D printing.
DING!
First thing that came my mind was custom 3d printed game board pieces. it be expensive, but could you imagine how great a custom dungeons and dragon game you could make . or how about a custom 3D printed wizard chest set . , prolly cost you $10,000 to have all the pieces made & painted. I'd properly never want to play it because I'd be afraid it would get broke....lol
I am thrilled to see this - printing high quality pieces at the sizes you've shown is not an easy task and definitely not cheap, I've seen much lesser pieces unpainted at more expensive prices.
Thanks for the image Cecile - that looks awesome, I want one lol
Can I use this to send a file to a friend to print with his printer? Or does it only work with the one company? I want to know before I ask him if he can do this?
Stupid tablet closed the tab instead of posting this.
Actually, acording to the very first post in the commercial thread for this, it $250 for the 7in figure. Which is still pricey but better than the prices above.
Should we be putting our model on a base before we submit?
Is there a place that offers some advice of what -not- to do? There's not much trial & error here for the price.
Thanks!
...I could get the 24 GB memory upgrade my current system needs for that.
They are working on making smaller scale figures, and other finishes (including unpainted for those who want to paint the figures themselves) available. Just not now at launch.

I need to live where you are LOL 1080 Ti is still hovering around the $1000 mark in Australia.
Currently it only works with us but we will try to bring the full capabilities in a way you can use it with your own printer or with someone else printer.
It is a very big troll though
It will look great and btw I might be possible to produce lower quality game board pieces that still look decent without the hand painting part, this is something we will also consider in the future but it will be reduction of the cost in exchange of quality but then you won't be afraid to play with it I guess
It is optional as you can request us to add a base for your model during the checkout process. We are currently working on an FAQ page but don't worry when submitting an order because it will be reviewed and if there is anything that can be enhanced or need to be fixed then we will let you know and we wil keep you updated during the process of producing your print.
I seriously respect the responsiveness of the GamePrint team here. That goes a huge way to building trust. I'm looking forward to customizing a model for you to make for me.
cheers!
Even without the plugin you can't send Daz files to a friend, against the EULA
Thanks a lot :D glad to hear that and we are here to help and answer any questions
I need to wait those few days as my bank will almost certainly freeze any overseas credit card transaction as suspicious activity, they have even DAZ and I have an enourmous amount of payplal payments go to DAZ!
Paypal is allowed on my bank account.
Will let you know as soon as the PayPal option is up and running
I have good news
PayPal is up and running now
...air cooled ones start at around 750USD here in the states.
...however at smaller sizes it is more difficult to preserve good detail. Even so I don't see it falling below what Daz charged for the stock figures they had.(which were priced at something like 35 - 45$ which was still too rich for my budget).
Hey GamePrint -
Got a question - What method do you use for 3D Printing our models? FDM? SLA? DLP?
I am curious as I am looking to make a handful of Hero Minitures for 28mm wargaming/RPGs. Providing that you support that scale.
It depends on the scale and quantity, typically for a single small sized print job we use SLA but for bigger and more quantities being printed at the same time we relay on DLP, both with a high resolution of 25 micron.
We don't currently support that scale through the checkout process but it is planned and being worked on, hopefully we will be able to introduce it sooner than later
What about the 2" and 3" Single Color and Primer costs?
