I looked at the ReadMe files and pretty much, all you get is what is listed on the product page. But I have to wonder, for example, if the office room includes the pictures hanging on the wall? There's a couch, so that's definitely from somewhere else. I'm guessing the pics on the wall are too. Since it's 70% off, I did buy it. (Fast Grab has new stuff, in case you hadn't noticed.)

If you look at the file list which is on the read me page it lists the computer monitors and keyboards as well.

I think it's a four week sale, because at one point Jack mentioned having 4 freebies and 4 bundles lined up, sooo..... I think there will (hopefully) be a catchup sale at the end (weekend? Monday-Tuesday?) and then buildup to Black Friday sale, which will, after all, only be about a week away.

But it could be they picked up more content for the sale, or Jack was being purposefully vague, too....

Yep, I lumped that in with cubicle in my mind. I didn't think they'd supply a stripped down sectional.  wink

Look at the additional products used for the Conference Room.     A bathroom? A bedroom? A lecture hall? A kitchen? A living room?

There really shouldn't be any need to include any additional products with a set like this, unless it is figures and clothes...

As it is, I find myself looking at the promo pics wondering, "what is it that makes these promo pics look complete that ISN'T included with the set? Is it the framed pictures?" The Trashcans? The binders?"

Sure looks like those things aren't included in the "What's included," list. I don't see monitors, keyboards or mice listed, either.

I've gotten fooled by product promos like that before, not paying enough attention to details. I bought the "Slime Beast" thinking it included the set, the stairs, shackles, ruins and vegetation.

Nope. It is JUST the slime beast. Which I really can't see myself EVER using. It was super cheap, though... soo... if I ever need a goofy multi-eyed 50s B Movie monster... I've got one.

Wow. Yes. You hit the nail on the head.

There should be at least one promo pic that shows *just* what's actually included.

I suppose one could argue characters don't have such a promo pic as they always show hair (which usually isn't bundled with the figure). But most places/environments have a promo that shows what's actually provided.

Often I'll look at the number and detail of the texture maps. Seeing something like '3 texture map' of lesser resolution would usually disincline a purchase unless I really needed the setting and the price was very nice.

That's why I appreciate the artists who include a greyscale image that shows only what you get.
I seem to purchase more from them (Hint to PAs).

  • That's why I appreciate the artists who include a greyscale image that shows only what you get.

Yup. A grayscale that shows exactly what is included is always a great touch. Having to dig all the way to the ReadMe is a really bad way to go. The "What's Included" list on the buy page should be crystal clear, not cryptic at all - and shouldn't give the impression that things are included that are not.

At least, that is MY opinion... I'm sure someone could make a compelling argument why I am wrong. ;)

  • I'm not seeing the green banner "additional 20% off for buying 2 Debut" in the cart.

The addtional 10% off featured artists doesn't seem to be working for every item.

Hey, Daz. I've got some complaints about the sales page today:

    1) Daz Originals are 40% off for members, no other purchase required. Today, if we buy one Debut new release, We get 50%, 60%, 70% or 80% off, depending on the age of the products. The small print states, "Items must be in cart simultaneously for discount to apply." and "Discount excludes new releases, memberships, Gift Cards and PC+ items." Assuming the discount for buying a new release stackes with the member discount of 40%, the discounts with one Debut item in the cart should be 70%, 76%, 82% and 88%.

Immediately following that, the copy states buy two or more Debut items to "get an extra 20% off them." This is confusing. Does the extra 20% apply to the DOs in the four "date" categories listed before it? Or is it intended to only apply to the Debut new releases?

If it's only intended to apply to the Debut new release, why don't you just say, "Get an extra 20% off Debut new releases when you buy two or more."?

    2) The cart is not showing the same prices as the sales page. For example, new releases in both Debut and Still New are displaying a 52% discount for members, (40% intro discount, and an additional 20% for members.) But when I put an item in my cart, only the 40% is being applied. When I put a second item in the cart, an additional 20% is applied. I assume that is for the two or more. To be sure, I logged out and logged back in, and tried again with the same result.

    3) The banner ad for today's sale states, "Up to 60% Off The All-New Stonemason" but the best discount I can get in my cart is 52%. I assume this is also from the lack of member discounts being applied in the cart.

I'm going to clear my cart, and wait for you guys to get today's glitch fixed.

I'm seeing the same. Not buying anything until and if it's fixed today.

  • I've called it in :)

  • Yeah, the Featured Category PC+ items aren't showing the same additional 12.5% that they have been (1.99 item =1.75 in cart for members).  I think it must be the member discounts that aren't working right.

The green banner additional 20% isn't working for me at all.  I put the Building Site and the Japanese Spa bundle in my cart, but neither are showing any additional discount over the sale price.

    Greetings,

I'll leave my cart alone for a bit; I noticed this also.  Having 'The Heart of the East' and 'Building Site' in my cart should trigger (1) 20% off for being PC member, (2) 20% off for two Debut items, and the base 40% off.  So the price for Heart of the East should be $27.95 * 0.8 * 0.8 * 0.6, or 61.6% off, at $10.73.  Instead it's $27.95 * 0.8 * 0.6, or 52% off at $13.41.

Is okay; I figure they'll fix it in the morning DAZ time.

@ladair  You are making my head hurt!!!!  I haven't even gone to the shopping section yet, just got online, my computer was in "sleep" mode so this page was open and I refreshed it. I'm greeted by that whopper of a complaint (VALID complaint) whereas I'm looking at all the conditions that a typical shopper is supposed to figure out and OMGosh, are you kidding me?

The stuff in the new Fantasy category sale still isn't properly discounting (not adding the extra discount when adding a debut/still new) - I've been checking since the morning central europe time - is this planned to be fixed today, as I know Jack called it in this morning?

    Hi,

Can the sales difference refund be issued for mulitple order combining? Today I purchased a new release, and then some daz original characters for 70% off. But I forgot to add one model to the cart. Now if I purchase that model with the normal 40% off, can I ask for a difference refund?

I hope I can get some answers since the sales will be over soon :( . Thanks

When I screw up like that, if I can afford it, I just recreate the order with the extra product(s) and have Customer Service void and refund the first order. No math that way. FYI, They will refund the first to Store Credit, unless you specify otherwise.

Well I can't afford it :( so I purchased the model alone. If they don't issue the sales difference refund then I'll just return it. It's Olympia 7 so I'm sure there will be more chances for me to buy.

    Thanks for the response.

uh, I think something needs to be fixed - the "featured pc items back on sale 30% off"....a lot of them are only 3% off

and really? 40% or 50% with a new release for the "daz originals 2015-2016"? I've seen them go at 70% off. 50% is not tempting at all.

the daily spotlight items are the same as yesterday. yawn.

Maybe the store had just passed midnight when you saw this, many strange things can happen during the first minutes after that.

Reported. Does anyone else see anything else?

  • They're re-applying the rules to the store, give it a few to take effect.

  • Try now, please.
