Say, is this model still available AFTER April Foo -- uh -- April 1st?

It will be...after I finish painting it.
Do you know how long it takes to paint a million rivets? :P

Personally, I prefer to spend about 10 minutes on each rivet, but hopefully you can work a little faster than that, because by my reckoning (and this alone took me and Google quite a while to figure out) ...

    10 million minutes = 167,000 hours = 7,000 days = 19 years

So, as you can see, this could pose a problem for any contest winners who are -- you know -- getting ON in years themselves.

Although I suppose you COULD put something in the Readme extending useage rights to their children and grandchildren. And who WOULDN'T want to leave a legacy like THAT!

Not many real people there! At least not that you want to get to know. One of those reminded me of a movie I saw years ago. The one with the chef, and his wife was on the menu. The movie was Motel Hell. The neon sign says Motel Hello, but the "o" in hello keeps blinking out. You can look it up at imdb.com if you want to know more.

KRISSY, are you offering the rolling pin as a prize?

If so, the answer is YES!

Apologies to all that we haven't yet stated WHO GETS WHAT PRIZES, apart from the cash certificates. Confirmation is still awaited on what would be the main, non-cash prize. Music's Hillbillies Shack will go to the three winners.

We have yet to decide who's going to get Celebi's textures, Ganthor's room, my classical paintings and -- if it is indeed being offered as a prize -- this fine mallet of a ROLLING PIN suitable for gently coaxing cookies out of dough or violently coaxing common sense out of idiot husbands.

(Old-fashioned sexist humour, I know, but still funny.)

CHAMELEON -- What sort of "unkind hand gestures" are we talking about here -- middle finger up, two fingers up with hand reversed?? Those sound like REAL PEOPLE gestures to me, so get that render going!

Don't be bashful. We need more demolition experts.

Alright Dorseyland, you asked for it. lol
Back Story: I drive my husband's truck to work since it has better headlights than my car and I work 3rds. Since its a F-150 crew cab shortbed with dual exhaust, when I pull up in it, you expect to perhaps see a big burly man get out. The door opens and *poof* I drop out of the driver's seat. All 5'1 of me. Apparently the men I work with seem to think this is hilarious to see, in their words, this little tiny girl drop out of that huge truck, so when a friend of mine said I should do a render of myself, this is what I came up with. I don't think this is quite what he had in mind, but it's my attitude to a T.

ETA: Yes. I actually have boots like that. LOVE EM! Especially since they cost me under $20. :P

AND very REAL! I think I can count at least 8 items in there, and if they're freebies and you have the links, this would be a great entry!

Actually, the background is just a plane with a random parking lot image on it. The truck was a google sketchup model that was converted. I just used a shader on it. I think it was Grandma's Jewelry Box shaders. The hair is Yuna from Studio Maya but it seems to be a dead link.
The tanktop is Little Dragon's and the texture for it is Wayii's from eons ago.

Oh I can so empathise with you. Some time back I became the first qualified female fork lift truck driver in my company. First day after I qualified I was the only one around when a 40 ft artic lorry came in to the yard and needed downloading, so up to the loading bay I went on my truck, which I parked and then got the smaller runabout truck which was used for downloading the enclosed trucks. Suddenly this irate lorry driver appeared at the top of the stairs and started screaming at me, in less than polite language, because I hadn't guided him onto the bay (it was at an angle and I gather could be awkward for some who weren't used to it or were less competent than our regular drivers). He suddenly spluttered to a halt very disconcerted to find this 5ft nothing female sitting there waiting to download him, He did eventually apolgise for his tirade, but I wasn't too phased, as I had heard worse. :coolsmirk:

  • edited December 1969

Cho- Oh yes. Apparently because I'm little and female I'm expected to be sweet and demure (which I can be), but cross me and I will let you know. I am fortunate (or unfortunate depending on your point of view) that since I'm "one of the boys" I get to hear very interesting conversations, and have been described as "scary" by female co-workers for whatever reason.

I sense an inner need to express yourself further about these things, Cham. Now you just get back into your runtime and track down the freebies to tell the whole story.

Then we'll see about getting you a nice prize. So far the judges are pretty much decided that Perlk is WAY out in front in this month's competition.
