No, but the buildings are built up to the edge of the canal. Bruges is one of several claimants to the title "Venice of the north"

Oh good!  Thank you, I was worried about that, but heaven forbid I should ever find my bathroom soap on the wrong side of the sink.   surprise  TV Detective "Monk" is my hero. indecision

I've been watching the sand grains in my long idle hourglass and notice them shifting spontaneously now and then, but figure that's to be expected due to normal vibrations, but I keep a log of their movements for posterity. cheeky

I've been watching a lot of Monk reruns myself lately (love the show). If you're emulating him, you've got a long way to go. You may however mastered his need for symmetry. smiley

Great show!  Diane and I watched it from beginning to end when it was in the OnDemand line-up a couple years ago.  Sometimes two episodes in a row, or three.

    OnDemand...it's a blessing...and a curse.  laugh

  • My complaint is my green beans are a touch too spicy for my taste

  • Man I really want a grilled cheese sandwich with provolone, pepper jack, mayo and sauteed onions. But I have none of these ingredients on hand. Grrrrrrrrr.

...take the Mayo out and it sounds good (sensitivity to egg yolks).

...well Sunday looks as if the "Summer Switch" will be turned off for the year as temps will drop to the low 60s and even upper 50s next week. September to early October is usually the nicest part of the year here (low - mid 70s) but not this time around I guess.  Looks like I'll have to pack away the Hawai'ian shirts and pull the sweaters and sweatshirts out earlier than usual.

Just hope we don't have a winter like the last one.

...great article about the Cassini probe that will be sent plunging to it's fiery doom tomorrow in Saturn's atmosphere after 13 years of sending back a wealth of fantastic data and photos as well as carrying/launching the Huygen's spacecraft that soft landed on the cloud shrouded moon of Titan.

It's very popular.  Basil after is a herb, and a rather tasty one, as long as you are talking about sweet basil,  sort of a mixture of aniseed and mint flavour

...can't wait to get off wireless.  Still need to find a good hardwired plan at a reasonable cost that offers more than 10 MBPS download and 3 MBPS upload speeds. Miss the 1G unlimited fibre optic service I had at the last place. Seems my new neighbourhood (even though it is a "ritzy" one) doesn't have high speed Fibre Optic access for some reason, just old fashioned slow cable. One would think an area like this would get it first.

  • Just took a pill for anxiety and insomnia.  Not anxious but too excited to calm down.  Saw mummy today and had fun with her.  Was able to get Precious. So much fun but still got to work tomorrow.  I need some sleep to function.  Starting galaxy of guardians 1 to remember what I need to know for two.   I got that long time ago.  Just got two today.

Yes good luck with that :)  Wind hasnt been so gusty but I think that's the most rain we had this year here, about 3/4 of an inch was enough to test out all the clogged up drains :)
