That's a PC deal, the 75% off. It was in last week's newsletter.

Well if you mean the 2/27/13 PC newsletter, in mine it just says 50% off FS, same as Cowboy Gumdrops Genesis that does show as 50% off today. Hum.

Ah well, March madness after all, eh? ;)

    Cheers :)

Apparently, the 10% for owning Aiko 5 only counts for "Aiko 5".

Confused, hey, why not? Its' DAZ.

My point is that I purchased the Aiko 5 Pro Bundle, which contains Aiko 5, but does not register as Aiko 5 towards the 10% extra discount. So buying 2 MM items, as a PC Member who owns Aiko 5, nets me a 50% discount instead of 60%

    March Madness is striking ...

Is it possible -esha- has set it on sale in addition to MM? I just purchased Forest Scout and Roaming Scout for $9.06

Are you sure? Because when I did the math for the last MM stuff I bought, I was getting the 10%, and I bought the Pro Bundle. Maybe double check your math...it was really confusing for me, being that I am a math moron.

It actually doesn't come out as 60% but rather 55%, at least from a quick calc of my most recent purchase.

Maybe it's the new math (why do two $50 tires cost $150? - Gallagher), but:

item one: $ 6.95 listed on Mar 2 as a MM item
item two: $12.95 listed on Mar 2 as a MM item
    -----------------------
    total: $19.90

    19.90 x .5 = 9.95 (50% discount for buying 2 MM items
    19.90 x .4 = 7.96 (60% discount for buying 2 MM items if you own Aiko 5

    My cost: $13.12

    19.90 x .7 (30% discount) = $13.93

    13.12 / 19.90 = 0.6592964824 in other words, I got about a 34% discount.

    That's correct. 50% x 10% gives a total discount of 55% off list price,

    If it's a DO and your a PC member it would be 30% x 50% x 10% = 68.5% total.

If you're purchasing a single item it would be 37% and 55.9% respectively.

    Clear as mud right?

I'm not sure what items you are speaking of, but I do believe you are calculating your discount from the sale price and not the base price. If you calculate it from the base price it will be around 55%. Of course what do I know.

Well it doesn't say 50% off the 30% discount total, and it doesn't say 10% off the 50% discount total off the 30% discount total. it says 30% off each, 50% off 2 or more, and an extra 10% off March madness if you own A5 or Garibaldi.

I don't know how they do things in Utah, but what they have advertised means that:
...if you buy 1 March Madness item, you get 30% off your March Madness purchase.
...if you buy 1 March Madness item and you own A5 or Gira, you get 40% off your March Madness purchase.
...if you buy 2 March Madness or more items, you get 50% off your March Madness purchase.
...if you buy 2 March Madness or more items, and you own A5 or Gira you get 60% off your March Madness purchase.

That is how I understood everything from the way it was worded, but at this point I don't expect Daz promotions to be worded well or accuratly. Always frustrating, especially when you have broken promotions like the ones this weekend.

We all want it to read 30% or 50% off of the sale price, but it does not say that. It just says 30% off a March Madness item or when you buy 2 then you get 50% off. It does not say from the sale price and does not work out that way, so one would have to assume it is from the list or base price, which is the way it works out. Then the additional 10% comes off of what the 50% price comes out to be. It is not added together with the 50%, but is calculated after the initial discounted price. That is why it doesn't come out to be 60%. Hell I wish it were off the sale price myself, but I know it is not nor does DAZ claim it to be. It is what it is.

It appears loads of people are confused by this, but for me on this occasion it seemed perfectly clear, and not ambiguous like so many other promos in the past. Go figure huh? Either way we're still saving more than usual, so that's a good thing :)

But I wish we still had those $1.99 for a day sales like in days of yore. Whatever yore is.

I wish everything in my wishlist was on sale, but I wouldn't have enough money for 120+ items anyway and that isn't everything that I want either. I just try to limit how many items are in the wishlist. I add the others when I subtract from the list.

    My cost: $13.12

    19.90 x .7 (30% discount) = $13.93

    13.12 / 19.90 = 0.6592964824 in other words, I got about a 34% discount.

Exactly! You do need to start the whole process from the list price. Apart from the number of messed up items on Day 2, everything else I've checked has worked out correctly :)

I am not that simple. I aced college accounting and those were the list prices.
The sale prices were $3.41 and $9.71 for the total quoted above of $13.12.
If I were to calculate off the sale price, then 13.12 / 13.12 = 1 or 0% discount.

    $19.90 x .3 = $5.97 30% your way
    $5.97 x .2 = $1.194 (1.91) extra 20% to make 50% your way
    $1.194 x .1 = $0.1194 (.12) extra 10% to make 60% your way
    $5.97 + 1.194 + .1194 = $7.2834 ($5.97 + 1.91 + .12 = $7.28)
    $19.90 - 7.2834 = $12.62166 ($19.90 - 7.28 = $12.62)
    $12.62 / 19.90 = 0.6341 or ..63
    1 - .63 = .37 or 37% discount (less than 50 or 60)
    But I didn't pay $12.62

    another way is:
    $19.90 x .3 = $5.97 [30%
    $19.90 x .2 = $3.98 [add 20% to get 50
    $19.90 x .1 = $1.99 [add 10% to get 60
add those you get $11.94 or .60 or 60%
    But I didn't pay $11.94

    now this way
    $19.90 x .3 = $5.97
    $19.90 - 5.97 = $13.93
    $13.93 x .2 = $2.79
    $13.93 - 2.79 = $11.14
    $11.14 x .1 = $1.11
    $11.14 - 1.11 = $10.03
    But I didn't pay $10.03

and for the sake of argument
    $19.90 x 59% = $11.74 and $19.90 x 55% = $10.94 (those percentages were mentioned earlier)

No matter where you put the percentages, $13.12 after $19.90 is not the posted discount

I paid $13.12 which roughly equals 66% of the total list price, which is equivalent to a 34% discount. (less than 50 or 60)
    $19.90 x 34% = $6.77 and $19.90 - 6.77 = $13.13

No matter how you perceive it. I paid more than I should have based on the advertised pricing.

Well I don't think that's exactly what I was saying, but if those were the full product prices then yes indeed you have been overcharged! The total price should be less than half and yours clearly wasn't, so something's not working correctly with those products, just like on Day 2. I think you need to contact support :)

The cart isn't calculating off the base price for all the discounts tho. It's calculating off the discounted price for some of them. The first discount is off the base price, then the second discount is off the discounted price and the third discount is off the remainder.

So i take it, nothing was offered for those that wanted to take advantage of the MM sale over the weekend but the 50% discount promised when purchasing 2 MM items didnt work?

    Nutshell... Correct!
I hope IgnisSerpentus and Valandar do not take this lightly. That goof cost BOTH of them sales.

Platea : Epic Bundle still do not gives the advertised 50% off, when it is in the shopping cart along with other MM items. Can this please be corrected before it leaves the MM category.

    Thanks in advance.

Those normally happen during the PC anniversary sale, not MM.

I think you're right, although they didn't happen last PC sale.

This "Have to buy 2 to get March Madness Prices" is killing your sales.
This is the second time I passed on buying something because I didn't want to buy 2 to get good pricing.
Money is tight for me now.

I wanted Feveral's newest set, but my money isn't going to stretch that far this time round.

It's not just the MM sale, it's all of the "buy this, and get this other one for this much off" sales lately are bugging me. I'm not going to buy something I have no use for to get something I do want.

While the "buy this to get a discount on that" sales are sometimes annoying, I haven't found this March Madness to be a problem -- with 500+ items to choose from, it isn't hard to find 2, and if money is tight there are enough cheap DO's on the list to still make it worthwhile to toss one into the cart in order to get the more expensive items at a good price. My biggest problem has been trying to figure out which of the many PA items to buy at 55% off -- that's a rare discount to get on PA items.
