Well if it is one single figure (genesis 1 style), it would be a huge time and money saver since you don't have to do two separate products for two genders.
Personally, I'm hoping that any new Genesis release will be timed with a new version of DS. :)
That would fit in with this month's Carrara Challenge - which is still waiting for a G3 update.. but tomatoes ( a fruit ) work fine

Oh wow when I think back to some of those DAZ 5 wishlist posts this can be very good. I may wind up buying a new computer before 2020 now.

Crikey I'd gladly send them a USB stick, have them load my orders on it, and mail it back as I am using my phone as a mobile hotspot which has a limited amount of download bandwidth per month (which believe it or not I already exceeded). I don't get overage charges but anything I do that involves a net connection when I'm out and about (like checking transit schedules/arrivals, the weather, or baseball scores) runs much slower and sometimes crashes.
The real downside as I mentioned is betas are only downloadable through the DIM and I no longer use the notebook for 3D or even much 2D work anymore so Downloading the DIM to it is pointless.
I thought about setting up a hardwired connection between the notebook and workstation to use the notebook's wireless connection. Not sure If I need a router though.
Not sure about your situation but I bought a Wifi usb stick for my PC - a few dollars and it works like a charm. Also has Bluetooth. Just plugs into any USB port and your PC should recognise it (otherwise there will be a driver or download).
I have done this before. You don't need a router, just an ethernet cable. You can Google the instructions on how to set it up for your operating system, it isn't very difficult.
If Genesis 4 was a single base figure like Genesis, that might tempt me to buy it.
With my luck DAZ Studio 5 and Genesis 4 will have every feature I want, but not be able to run on my system or any system I can afford, lol.
Had to laugh... "Genesis 8" is clearly 4+ years down the road. Now if it had read Genesis 4 or even Generation 7 it would have made more sense.

...Headed back to Carrara discussion. Awaiting a new and improved Genesis 3 or 4 which works in Carrara 8.5 as well as awaiting Carrara 9.
Well the second half of this years starts in 3 weeks time. If nothing appears on July 1 I'll be submitting a support ticket.

Well the changes to a figure usually require an update, although nothing major for the last couple as this would require a new SDK; Studio 5 seems to be something they want to avoid.
No rumours from Daz; lots of speculation from the forums due to previous releases.

Nope, not fake - inaccurate.
DAZ_Steve said it was a "sample test post that had been sitting around". It's a real, not fake, sample test post. In that sense (alone) it is a genuine article.

It'll be a shame if it's totally inaccurate, as combining the Genesis number with the figure numbers is a really good idea. And 8 is a lucky number in the burgeoning east asian markets, so no better opportunity to do it than this.

I totally agree that combining Genesis number with figure number is a brilliant idea. Hey, if this thing is still TODO, could you go for it?
