This is still broken.
https://www.daz3d.com/carefree-hair-for-genesis-3-females qualifies as one of the 2 items needed to get the extra 10% off GC
but https://www.daz3d.com/colors-for-carefree-hair isn't showing up as still mad, is this intended?
I submitted a ticket 6 hours ago but it hasn't changed.
While the Carefree hair was the PC+ item included in the Mad items, I'm pretty sure that Colors was never included in Newly Mad or Still mad items. Generally only one of the PC+ releases is included in the mad items during a given week and I beieve Colors was just one of the other PC+ releases that week and not included as Newly Mad or Still Mad. So, of course it wouldn't show up in the catchup.
ETA: It is the weekend, so a lot of the DAZ staff is off and most likely you won't get a response to your ticket until Monday.
I now have a new gift card and I wish yesterday's DSON sale was still happening. I cut myself off when I went six dollars over, but then the great deal on gift cards hapenned...
I'm pretty much embracing this fact about myself. If I can, I will buy 3D stuff at good prices every time, no matter how much I already have. And I love it. LOL
Only one PC+ item per week was included in the Newly Mad/Still Mad products, so the other PC+ items, like the Colors for Carefree Hair, won't qualify for the gift card discount. Sorry. When looking at the product listing, if the discount shown for a PC+ item is only 30%, it was never a Newly Mad item. But if you see a 40% discount, it was, and can be used as a Still Mad product to trigger the GC discount. I hope that helps.
ETA: I now see Charlie beat me to the answer...
That link doesn't work for me. If I click it and browse the content, many of the products are not discounted at all, some have a regular PC+ discount. I have not trawled through the alphabetical list to compare prices because I just don't have that musch time.
EDIT: also, it shows products from vendors who are not on the alphabetical list, e.g. Saiyeness.
I think you've got it worse than I do. I let a lot of stuff pass me by during the DSON sale - and I'm still sitting on a good portion of a GC. But, maybe the prices just haven't been good enough.
I'm close to the end, anyhow... I've got about 400 items in my wishlist, but there are only about 20 or 30 I *really* want.
I just checked to see if today's huge list messed it up, but the lowest discount on the filtered page it gives is 40%, and I don't see Saiyeness amont the listed artists. It appears to be working as intended. At least in Chrome.
The problem is my imagination. I USED to love giant lumbering mechs. Titanfall 2 came out and that's a game I would have killed to play years ago. Now, could care less.
Pacific Rim? Liked it- grabbed some toys, I mean models of the robots. Been ignoring all the mechs on here. And there are some damn good ones.
But, I've been seduced. Damn it. Now to write a story that justifies the purchase.
My husband routinely asks me "have you used any of the stuff you have bought??"
I was the same with the Sims - i used to download these fantastic sets from sims sites.......and I realized one day that I was doing MORE downloading than PLAYING.
I have readjusted my thinking towards DAZ and sales - i concentrate more on props/environments and utilities nowadays, and I always leave my cart overnight before pulling the pin. (unless there's one of those store glitches in our favour, then I just do it LOL ) That way I can look again and decide if I actually NEED it, or am just getting it cos it's on sale.
How you have only 400 items on your wish list? I have over 3,000. lol
I put everything on my list that I would get if they where SUPER CHEAP. lol I know I'll never get them all, but it helps me to find the stuff I want most when it comes to deep discount sales. I just sort by wishlisted items and then I don't have to look through all the pages. lol
LOL. I can barely manage my wishlist as it is.
But we've already established from the start you are more organized than I am. :)
Perhaps I'm using the wrong link. I clicked on the link that took me to your Civilization Hunt page and then on the bottom link of that page which gave me what you see in the attached screen shot (I think that is page 5 of 300+).
(please limit the width of images to 800 pixels)
HA! HA! Ha! You look like Anderson Silva in that shot!
That is so funny! I did the exact same thing! Started with the Sims and made my own characters for it! When I was a little kid I used to make a ton of my own paper dolls. I used the white cardboard from my mother's pantyhose LOL. I guess a lot of us have some weird natural instinct to create people LOL.
I did the same. I used to create entire universes for my Barbies. I would make their clothes (I can crochet/knit/sew/etc pretty well.) I'd make a disco with foil ball spinning from the ceiling. I'd steal my mom's houseplants to create a jungle and my brother's GI Joes when the girls needed a date. LOL I don't think I really outgrew all that, I just channeled it into other things. I pretended to be a reporter and would do fake interviews with all the different accents. I'd be a DJ and steal my parent's records. I'd put on dance shows. This evolved into writing, theater and a broadcast career in the military for a while- with real GI Joes! I finally published my first two books last year but have had stories in my head as long as I can remember.
I love 3D. I feel like I have my Barbies back, and they're helping me write my stories. It's especially fun because even though I have five kids, none of them are girls. No Barbies to steal, lots of Legos to step on, and not a GI Joe in sight!
LOL! I did the paper doll thing too when I was a kid! I loved those things! Still get a twinge of nostalgia when I see pics of them. As for Barbies.....I had SO MANY Barbies! Made a house for them out of cardboard boxes along one wall of my room. I had one Skipper also and one Cindy - poor Skipper and Cindy didn't get a lot of love. Intricate stories for them all. I never had a Ken tho - Barbie went on dates with my brother's Six Million Dollar Man figure.
I had a few Barbies too, not many because we where poor. Most of them where ones my mom found at garage sales. I even had one that had real eye lashes, not just the painted on ones. She must have been super old since I'd never seen one with real lashes before and she looked to be quite old. Loved them! My favorite doll though was a JEM doll. I think she was a bit bigger than my Barbies so she was always the boss. lol
Dolls are a terrible thing. NEVER get you children dolls.
- it teaches them bad things about unrealistic ideas of shapes and beauty.
- the tasks the dolls do groom them for mimicking those same actions later in life. It's conditioning
- it desensitizes them to violence...
- it starts a materialistic workshop as characters are only 'ready' when they have ALL THE ACCESSORIES...
- the relationships are black and white. No conflict resolution. Either perfect bliss (highly unrealistic) or antagonistic with only Enemies and Friends.....
DO NOT GET YOUR DAUGHTERS DOLLS.
Thank goodness, as boys, we had ACTION FIGURES and didn't have to worry about any of that stuff.
Sounds like people better stay away from DAZ too
So it looks like the Catch-Up sale is running the entire weekend without any real exciting deep discounts.
Unless there are some flash sales or interesting Fast Grab recycles, this may be an inexpensive weekend for me.
I suppose there isn't much to complain about... Maybe the Black Friday sale will be better. Last year seemed like one giant blow-out sale after the other - and if this is the future, I really did get most of my content library at insanely fantastic discounts.
DON'T YOU DISS MY DOLLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
People said the same thing last year. MM was a chance to get brand new content at ~50% off that you wouldn't normally see discounted until later on. Black Friday was a huge sale (which they screwed up by offering successively better discounts on the same content day after day) then PA/PC+ are back to back huge library filler sales. Xmas sales are usually good too, but last year's xmas sale had the best deals I've seen since joining, so that probably colours expectations somewhat.
I suspect this is the reason MM has been somewhat lack-lustre. - they don't want us to start expecting those deals every sale. That Christmas sale hammered my bank account just when I needed the money for family and holiday matters.
I had so many Barbies too plus I had Kens for them and my best friend had lots of Barbies and Kens and we'd have weekend sleepovers and our Barbies would have entire soap operas and even sex and I was about to write something really innocent but I'm afraid it might be against the TOS but my friend who was a year older basically taught me the birds and bees through Barbies. And we got so involved in our weekly Barbie soap operas that were actually getting into some pretty grown up content and we were getting too old to be seen playing Barbies so when we shopped for them we loudly said "This will be a great present for my little (imaginary) sister" because we were still playing at 13, way too old for dolls, and both tall for our age so we felt stupid being seen buying them. But really, we were writing and acting out what could have been an entire TV series!
I had only one Ken doll - needless to say there were many Barbie fights over him. lol And yeah, my neighbor and I played with dolls at that age too. We were just starting to get interested in boys too, so I think that was our way of "practicing" what we'd do and say on a "date" with a boy. lol Neither of us really needed the practice though, since boys our age still thought of girls as weird alien beings who had koodies. Ah, the joys of maturing faster than boys. heheh
This is correct. Each week during MM one PC release was featured as part of the sale. Carefree was one of the items featured. And yes, CS is off on weekends but the mods do try to keep on top of these things by reviewing the forums.
Same here. Thought the discounts would be stacking with big bonuses like at Xmas. But today's prices aren't as good as a couple of days ago.
I still have my eye on a few things.
Be sure to click on the bookmarklet from the promo page. This is the URL it should go to currently:

I had only one Ken doll - needless to say there were many Barbie fights over him.
I had the same problem with my Star Wars toys. Before Lucas did that terrible Leia is your sister thing (trying to top the Empire Strikes Back reveal..nooooooowwwwwrrrr)
I had two Leias- the Bespin, red outfit one, was Han's. And the White robe with the big sleeves was Luke's.
--------
My sisters still talk to this day about how I destroyed so many of their dolls.
They thought I had a syndrome.
I would mutilate them - badly.
Years later I explained.
1) To make them robots, I would shave off all their hair.
2) When you laid them down, their eyes would close so I would try to poke them out of position so they stayed open and sometimes I'd fail and just poke their eyes out. Can't have a giant robot flying with his eyes closed!
3) They had 'dolly' clothes so I would strip them down and magic marker lines and joints and cool sci-fi markings.
Needless to say, my family was worried about me.
