  • The guy on the image left of both of those has more natural looking fingernails while the guy on the right has fingernails that almost look like skin growths? I prefer the one on the left. Which of those is the corrected model?

The right one is out of the box (after the recent "update"), the left one has altered skin settings.

I wasn't sure that I got the discount for Lucian 7 either. I didn't see the banner until today. But I went back and looked at the order...and while it's hard to tell for sure as the order only shows the full price and not the actual price I paid, when I look at the total for the entire order...the amount I actually paid, it was only $61 and that was for 5 items including the pro bundle, so I'm thinking I got the discount and didn't know I was getting it.

Your emails show you each item's price.

Yeah, at $37.03 I'd like to support the vendors who do have some of the nicer things in the bundle. I agree with a previous poster, I don't like the jacket's collar either, but I guess it's a matter of personal taste. The product I really don't care for is AJ Hair, it's choppy in back and doesn't seem to belong to that style of hair. The rest of the hair is flowing, long strands on the top, front and sides- to suddenly go chop-choppy in back just doesn't make sense to me. And again, I want Lucian to get Parker which is coming down the pike, I already mentioned it previously with a link to the thread. Kudos to the vendors for offering a variety of products, many of which I like. I don't need more poses, but some people do.

How did you get that price? My cart is showing $46.29.

I reported the green eyebrows on the ticket with the toe and fingernail issue but looks like they didn't fix it.

Are you just talking about the eyebrows or the whole thing? Because they did fix the nails in the update that came-out yesterday.

Any folks here want a (really simple, seriously made in 10 minutes) morph to smooth out the pecs a bit?

Makes the body super David like.

Also using the face at 65% or so and cheekbones size at around -40% mixes great with other morphs

How the hell do I keep missing these types of posts!? O_o

I'd LOVE that morph! Yes, please! :D

Okay folks heres the chest smoother morph + some bonuses!

    Also included

Lucian Smooth V. Medialis (its that muscle above the knee, its fairly prominent on lucian, and can look weird when you make him skinnier) This one is pretty lucian specific, like the chest morph.

    Less Lucian specific

Nipple Height and Width: Change the location of the nipples on the pecs with minimal movement to anything else

Traps Curve: Lucian has pretty defined traps too. This one is similar to the Daz morph Traps Size, but lowers (or raises) the center of the traps more in relation to the sides, so you can change the curve without moving the height as much.

EDIT Now up at sharecg also a proper picture

Thank you, j.cade! I tried your morphs; they are really useful!

Lucian is fascinating. Usually I don't like figures with strong expressions; no matter if positive or negative, and first I thought 'Oh no, what a surly face!'. But this guy has something, and he is a good example for a typical high-class DAZ base figure. And he is excellent blended with other G3M shapes. yes

  • Has DAZ said if the green eyebrows is going to be fixed or working as intended?

They did not indicate anything about the green eyebrows on the ticket I submitted. It was just closed.  It is too bad we cannot see the actions taken on items we submit requests for

Hmm what's with the green eyebrows? Already had to fix those gawd-awful blue/green nails. Just HOW did this pass the QA people?  And the hands (not shown) I reduced to 75% in size, they look downright clunky in that one pose set- and size is a contributing factor.

Didn't you know? Green eyebrows are all the rage in Dazland: Kalea 7 has them too!

If Lucian were a female, I don't think his promo banner on Daz's main page would be relegated to the back of the line. I can remember Aiko 7's promo getting first place treatment for almost two weeks. Promote males more equally so they will sell better. (I'm only half-joking).

meebe if i could see him rendered in a pinup or skimpy outfit, could be he is fantasy material

I am curious about the skin resource used for Lucian. It is remarkably hair free. Is this a male resource used here? With eyebrows like that, I would expect a hairy option for his body and chin..

At any rate, I do think making characters with permanent scowls outside of the monster genre (and even then),  limits their usuability.

I'd prefer to dial in my own facial exprssions so having to overcome Lucian's sour grapes perma frown (Somehow without any lines on his face....) Just is awkward.

A lot of vendors do that with their eyebrows too. Giving the character a permanent glower.  I'm just not into that I guess.

Eyebrows can convey a lot of facial expression. Giving a character too much without letting the user decide what expression THEY Want is super limiting.

I actually really like just normal straight aross eyebrows. Too much arch, and the character looks villainous and diabolical.

  • I actually used a MR base (there is chest hair, but it's shaved) for him from here, yes.  A very light toned caucasion base which I worked over in CS5 quite a bit.  I would like to add more hair to his chest, arms and legs, but to me it never looks right baked onto a texture so I usually opt to leave them fairly hairless if possible and let people use the mesh hair or overlays that are out there for that sort of thing.  I've been fiddling with an LIE type body hair map, but again- doesn't look right to me. If I don't like it, I don't put it in.  There is also quite a bit of work underneath (bump, normal, etc) and on the diffuse to help give some believeablilty to the skin texture, tone and 'feel' of it.  Still learning along the way.  And thank you!  I've actually done renders of him with a scraggly beard and such-and am pleased with how it blends into his base texture.

Oh, my post wasn't directed at you or your fine characters. More at the Lucian comments before your post. I'm speaking of Lucian base, sorry the forum posts don't come always in order sometimes.

  • Oh, no problem! lol- at times it can get confusing.

Personally, I like that Lucien has an expression similar to the guys I know who would be his age but, yes, there is a thing about what is termed RBF (http://www.nytimes.com/2015/08/02/fashion/im-not-mad-thats-just-my-resting-b-face.html?_r=0)

Leave it to the NYT to socially contort not having a face frozen in botoxed photographic time as you go about your business into some sort of manipulative and untrue diatribe about unfair oppression. They just know these things apparently because they are NYT. blush

I'm one of those people that has a glower as my RBF. LOL. Rarely am mad tho, even tho I frequently look it. Just mostly lost in thought ;). Some of us DO actually look like that :P

I too have RBF. I gess I must look pretty scary since people have literally jogged across the street to avoid walking past me. indecision

    RBF here yo. Real thing.

  • Serene NightSerene Night Posts: 17,704

Okay, you all will win, if you have RBF+green eyebrows+red body hair+zero wrinkles to go with the RBF. =-) Any takers?

Granted, I suspect that soon we'll have  a Lucian zombie and vampire coming out real soon. Perhaps that is where the blue nails and green eyebrows were from.

    Hah hah!

Seriously, though, I can't wait for those morphs to hit the store. One can only have so many female vampires and zombies!

Are you looking at the e-mailed Order Confirmation, or the order listing from your Account page? The e-mail appears to show the actual price paid for each item, although it's hopeless at displaying the breakdown over the whole order of any sale discounts, store credit, etc. The online Account listing is a hopeless muddle of full prices, total discounts for the whole order, and anything part-paid using a coupon; there's no indication of how the pre-discount Subtotal is calculated.

Come to think of it, is this even legal? The only figures I think I can always trust in either order display is the Grand Total, but everything leading up to it is a variable muddle. Aren't these supposed to be proper documents that can be used as legal invoices? Could this mess be a holdover from the disaster of the original implementation of Magento into the DAZ store that just never got fixed?

Sorry, didn't see the post as I'm not subscribed. It was with the extra 20% off orange banner that appeared the day after he was released. I still think Daz should give early buyers that same price.
