    Wow, just got Carrara Pro for $11.37!  I really only got it for the content because as soon as I update my Mac OS, it will be unusable just like Bryce. I'm not sure why they discriminate against Mac users...

    How? It's listing as $22.75 for me. 

    One of these days I'm totally getting that. lol I only have 4 of the items it comes with, so that leaves like 25 items that I don't have that I could use in Daz. :) I do want to learn how to use it too, as I hear that modeling is fairly easy in that program. I've had a horrible time trying to learn Blender.

    I don't know, when I first put it in my cart, it said $22 something and then I added some more really cheap RDNA items and was surprised that the total price somehow went down, instead of up and realized that Carrarra Pro had gone down to $11.37 and magically stayed that way until I checked out a few hours later!

    Ok, weird. I put it in my cart and it's still showing as $22.75

    Is there a reason to get Carrara besides the content packs it has? Does it do anything Daz cannot? (I'm using mostly Iray.)

    Another question, how user friendly is Hexagon? I see it on sale for $6.98.

    $11.37 is the upgrade price. And if you still have a PC coupon around since it's a Daz Original, well .... :sigh: Spent my coupon earlier tonight but I am so tempted.

    I think you get the discount to $11 and change if you have something from the RDNA sale on your cart. I just tried it with the G2 Hot Suit and Carrara droped to 11.37 and the hot suit droped to 2.50 ???

    I believe @Byrdie has it right. It's an upgrade price afaict. It isn't stacking for me and my carts full of stuff! :-P It's also a straight Daz Original, so there's not really anything to stack it with. Had new all excited... ;) /me checks out and enjoys the 93% off. ^_^

    I just tried that. Still no change. 

    It's probably for the best. If it actually did drop down that low I might have to cave and get it. lol

    As an owner of previous versions my in cart price for Carrara 8.5 pro is $11.37 without anything else in the cart. The sale price of the Hot Suit is $2.50 and adding it my cart did NOT produce any futher reductions.

    Oh yes, I think I do. I think I have Carrara 6 Pro or something. I've only used it once or twice - it was a bit confusing for me LOL

    It has to be an upgrade. I caved in and paid the $22 price... because I realized I get V5 and M5, a bunch of characters, hair, clothes...

    $12 would have made me happier.

    Hexagon is pretty user-friendly, espicially if you're a "click a button and see what it does" person like me. I had to dig into the manual only once and I'm learning new stuff with it every day.

    Only thing you have to be aware about is that it only has a 32-bit version. This will result in sudden crashes. So save your work very regularly, or you'll lose it to such a crash. Besides for that, I recommend it. And there are rumours about a closed beta-version too.... wink

    You may be pleasantly surprised. In my experience, Carrara runs without problems -- well, without any show-stopping, OS-specific problems -- on all recent versions of MacOS up to 10.11.6 (the current version).

    I don't know about Sierra (10.12.x), though. I haven't seen any reports from anyone who has tried the Sierra betas, so it's always possible that it'll die like Bryce once Sierra hits. That would be a shame.
