Merci d'avance.

Odd thing happening with ds 4.24And I spoke too soon. it only happens with large scenes, but I am also seeing metadata notes showing up in the scene list ot items when I open a scene saved in earlier versions.
Categories not removing references? [SOLVED]I don't understand what you mean by "a custom folder"... A root user-defined category or somthing ?
Have you ever done batches of re-import metadata before in this computer ?
Need help making a UV map - how to rotate and scale islandsAlso, for the final export of the .obj file, be sure to have named all the Materials the same as their Shading Domains. And each material should be unique.
If we don't follow this, Hexagon will make "corrections" which will then need fixing in D/S.
Also Hexagon tends to hold onto the "default" material ... to get an .obj without that, after exporting out the .obj -- open another session of Hexagon and import it into there. Remove any materials not in use. Make sure all the names are what you want ... then export that out and 'done.' :-)
In D/S then you can polish the surfaces to be whatever colour and/or image textures you want. {have the texture images already in your subfolder under Textures in the Runtime section} Save out as figure/prop file in D/S to some folder in the main content area for D/S [NOT under Runtime and NOT in the actual program folders]
Reloaded metadata, all content now has a strange icon on itRichard Haseltine said:
That sounds like the icon telling you a product uis available for install via Daz Connect - which in recent builds should appear (with agrey thumbnail) only if the system isn't seeing the product as installed. Do you mean reimport metadata (through Content DB Maintenance dialogue) or Update metadata (through the Connect menu or the log-inb dialogue)? The latter will download the metadata for everything you own a license for at thatv point and it will show the icon for uninstalled products in the products list and in the products tab of Smart Content in the All and Avaialble install state folters (tabs at the bottom of the pane).
Hi, Richard, and thank you for the reply. I did the former, not the latter; should I do the latter? I know I have licenses for everything present on the system at this point so I don't know why it's showing up on the products I have installed. I mostly work offline (not connected thru DC). I was reloading the metadata in an attempt to somewhat cull the population of the Lost and Found section, as it has grown rather large; subsets of installed (official) products are ending up there, the reasons for which I also cannot fathom.
I wish I had more time and drive on the days I was bored so I could just set all this to rights... :)Reloaded metadata, all content now has a strange icon on itThat sounds like the icon telling you a product uis available for install via Daz Connect - which in recent builds should appear (with agrey thumbnail) only if the system isn't seeing the product as installed. Reloaded metadata, all content now has a strange icon on itGreetings; I reloaded my metadata a couple weeks ago and all my content now has this icon on it (looks like a broken 'c' with a down-arrow-triangle at the inside bottom of it):
What does this mean and how can I get rid of it? It never used to be there and even if nothing's wrong, it makes me feel like something's wrong or, worse, that by reloading my metadata, I did something I wasn't supposed to have done.About the JCMs after importing 'G9 Anime' into Blender with Diffeomorphic.Padone said:
Be sure to select "feminine" in easy import, and that "backed morphs" is enabled in the global settings, then everything will import fine same as Crosswind did by hand. In general there may be some slight difference in jcms because blender uses a different type of interpolation, but that's not noticeable for practical use.
https://bitbucket.org/Diffeomorphic/import_daz/wiki/Global/Morphs
Right, that's it ! The baked option in Global settings is unchecked . Thank you very much !
Edit: But importing Feminine is not really necessary for the case of using G9 Anime because BaseFeminine corrective morphs are not used on G9 Anime figures. If importing Feminine, two BaseFeminine corrective morphs will be triggered 'cause its 2nd stage controller : BaseFeminine is not used on G9 Anime figure i.e. not imported as Baked. The Anime's shape will be different from the one in DS.

update. In the last commit the baked morphs values are always imported and the option is gone. Also docs are updated.
Problem with Slingshot V Swimwear for G8F1st, that instyle texture addon is not for the product you mentioned at the top... but for https://www.daz3d.com/slingshot-swim
2nd, lots of immigrated products from Rendo have no metadata... that's why you see them in Lost 'n found. Daz has no plan to provide metadata for them, so you either add metadata to them yourself or install them by using Content Wizard.
About the JCMs after importing 'G9 Anime' into Blender with Diffeomorphic. If you check the hidden properties of corrective morphs (cbs) on the anime figure, you'll see there're two more BaseAnime related corrective morphs with a 2nd stage controller : Base Anime Body Feminine.... (screenshot 1)
As default, Diffeomorphic doensn't import them... you can mark them as Favorities then import Daz Favorites. Dial Base Anime Body Feminine to 1, zero and Lock BaseAnimeF_body_bs_BodyFeminine-0xa39d1a4... then four corrective morphs will be correctly triggered ~ (screenshot 2)
You'll have the very same shape of Anime figure in Blender as what you get in DS.
Commissioned Propswell, do you really need to commission props of this sort? Props are pretty easy to import to Daz and set up.
Perhaps look at what's already available on places like cgtrader and turbosquid etc. For freebies, Sketchfab, Freepoly, Quixel, and Polyhaven have tons of free asian props and environment assets.
Alternatively, artificial Intelligence can generate some stuff pretty well now, at least for background assets where you dont need detail.
If by "places" you expect an environment artist to make an entire custom environment, that could be very costly, depending how they do it. So what's actually realistic is to look at existing environments, kitbashing, etc. Outside of Daz, you can maybe find environments on other marketplaces for Unreal or Blender, but it won't be easy to import whole environments comprised of hundreds of different assets to Daz without spending a lot of time, either for you or someone you commission to do it. Even with bridges, there are limitations of those bridges in how to set up shaders for efficiently bringing to Daz.
Categories not removing references? [SOLVED]crosswind said:
Firstly, "Remove References" is to totally remove a user facing file as well as its metadata in Smart Content... If you do it, you won't see that file anymore in your Smart Content ~
Then as for removing Categories, if the Category you created is a user-define one, you'll see an U letter on the icon of Category, then such category can always be removed from a file.
But if the icon of Category is a purely white... it means it's a Vendor category, then you have no way to remove it from a file.
Pls check which case you have.
Thank you for your response Crosswind! These categories have a U on them.

About the JCMs after importing 'G9 Anime' into Blender with Diffeomorphic.Using Diffeomorphic’s import_daz, import "G9 Anime Base Feminine Dev Load" into Blender.
After applying Import JCMs, set the model to T-pose.
The JCMs look different from how they appear in DAZ.
What should I do?
The first image is from DAZ, and the second is from Blender.FBX Document Import problemAn alternative if the import still ends up with a DS crash ~~
Import FBX into Blender, export to OBJ format. Import OBJ file into DS.
FBX Document Import problemLike for starters, there is a fbx document of a wind up key and when I did the import, it closes. Also, it's the current one.
FBX Document Import problemHello, I have a problem. When I try to import a fbx document, my DAZ studio starts to crash down. Can anyone help me?
Looking for Central Station files...I cannot remember. The package just locates in my download archive folder. I saw Jack Tomalin added Iray Presets as well as new NM maps for Iray ~
I couldn't find Iray package on product page either. I manually downloaded the DS format package and found the enclosed metadata is wrong ... that's why OP couldn't find presets in SC.
