Looking for a pale female Genesis 8 texture, asking for suggestions.

She comes with a "Snow Fairy" skin that is very pale.
LOL I have her too but forgot about it.

here just a while ago, and later on I will probably buy a few others to try them out as well.
If anyone else has any suggestions I would take them as well, as I can never have too many very pale textures, because i do a LOT of elf renders when I am rendering.
Virtual_Worlds I think has a knack for doing typical people but not so not so typical in the DAZ Store.
I bought Maria today. Her pale skin is not your typical 'white girl'. Add some ears and she'd probably make a great elf.
She looks very pale, paler than usual, but then we're not used to seeing models that pale in the DAZ Store. Also, it's unusual for a person that pale to have no hint of ruddiness to their skin at all. When one considers how translucent her skin has to be to be that pale you then expect to see a flush of blood in places along with marbled white fat and skin tissues making up the complexion's colors. Snowflake for Aiko 7 has more ruddiness. I've been that pale myself before (when younger) but typically early in the morning when my skin is less flush with blood.

It's for Victoria 7 (Genesis 3), and I don't know if you'd need her UV to get it to work, but it might be worth a look if the one you picked up isn't what you hoped for.

My current running shopping list of boring thingsEDIT: Nevermind. I just did more perusal of Renderosity. Sheesh. I generally don't go there because I lurve the DAZ installer...but...dang...
A moderate car (think Honda Civic or Ford Fiesta) - Not a super car, not a collectable car...just...a car...like you gave a crayon to an 8 year old and said...draw me a car. That's what I want.
Lets check Renderosity...
Budget Small Cars
Low Poly Car 1
Everyday cars, 4 door sedan
Lil Raver Car
Maxda Car
Audi quattro
Vandura Family Sedan
Toyota Yaris for DAZ Studio
Romero GX-500
Volvo V40 - for DAZ Studio
Caravan Minivan (for DAZ Studio)
Volvo C70 for DAZ Studio
PT Cruiser for DAZ Studio
Volkwagen Golf I GTI (for Poser)
Family Minivan for DAZ Studio
I'd keep going on options but I gave up on page ten after searching "Car".
Paperback and hardcover books that have open/close morphs (along with the associated hand pose). I've made some but they're not like what a pro would do. Maybe a whole research set (notes/books/coffee cup/pens/pencils/erasers/etc.) There are ways to fake this but it'd be nice to have a set.
Rendo has most of this again. Maybe not the poses, but they have a good array of books.
Scholastic by Darkworld would be perfect, but you'd need to run the poses through several passes to update them... and you'll need to fix the mats.

Z Fun ClassRoom! is Gen8 and has some stuff too though isn't quite as on the money.
Bundles of boring clothes. Not sexy clothes. Just normal, boring, clothes. Slacks and a polo for men or just an average suit. For women, just some business casual options. Not going out for a hot party night. Just something plain. (I may just need to shop more for this).
A lot of that is just shopping around. Though keep in mind, boring clothes tend to autofit reasonably well so don't be afraid to go back as far as genesis, or even Victoria 4 if you have the right clones.
Leather/hide armor (for my stone age D&D game).
Stoneage D&D? Tell me moar...
That said again, Rendo has some incredible stonage sets.
The Gladeling Outfits by sixus1 look cool in that very "1 Million Years BC" Kinda way.
The dForce Neolithic Outfits by Deacon215 are very awesome too if you want something more historically accurate.
The dForce Grass Cord Outfits and dForce Tropical Leaf Outfit less so... but still fit just fine.

Daz isn't very good for animaition... blocking off stuff like Hair physics to PA only kinda cements that.I have a love hate relationship with Renderosity. I find their prices to be high and the lack of an installer infuriating. However, they have a lot of nifty stuff that Daz wouldn't allow (for the most part). So I can get nifty stuff there but I have this chore of having to unpack it and find all the folders. Then again...lots of average cars. So...

Or maclean for other things you may need.
THanks for pointing out the Coffee and Tea! I had the books and stationary (which is actually what prompted the question I think.)
Maclean is great! I had about half of their stuff already wishlisted. LOL.

[Released] Ultimate Clothing Fixer Genesis 3 [Commercial]thank you! :)
this ultimate clothing fixer G3F - it's not a converter, is it? it basically kinda adds a bunch of morphs into a G3F outfit that didn't really have them originally, is that correct? So if you had a dress for G3F and there were not many morphs in the long skirt...sitting, etc...this adds them?
Sorry to ask an OT question, but I was trying to find a thread for the Hair Converter from V4 to G8F where I could ask a question - is there one or perhaps a main thread for Riversoft Art's hair converters?
Here you go!

I just bought this figure a few days ago. In the main promo and a couple of others she reminds me a little of Ruth Wilson.

Looking for a pale female Genesis 8 texture, asking for suggestions.Remember that Genesis 3 materails will also work, aside from the lashes and eyes to an extent.
Wait 3 and 8 are the same UV?
Yes, except:
- Eyes
- Lashes
- All G3 base characters have different UVs. So for example Victoria 7 and Aiko 7 have their own UVs, but Ceridwen for G3 or Snowflake for Aiko 7 have the same UV as G8F. Complicated and illogical? Yes, yes it is.

Fitting older wardrobe versions to Victoria & Michael 8Victoria 8 and Michael 8 are morphs for the bases Genesis 8 Female and Genesis 8 Male so you would convert wardrode to fit the bases.

Looking for a pale female Genesis 8 texture, asking for suggestions.I went through my listing of characters and picked out the ones I have marked with pale skin that I made a judgement call when I first bought her. Some might not appear that from the initial image, but on my screen, the skin was pale, as opposed to tanned. Others are designed to be elvish pale. And you can see, they come from a variety of PAs who all make quality work. Hope some of these help. Mary

List of all Daz Original figures G1-G3Is there a simple list of charactor names with the Genisis version? Seems it would be in this sites FAQ section right?
When looking for assets I find Daz naming structure to give no clue to the Genesis figure it was built upon.
There are four sets now that I know of.
- Genesis (1)
- Genesis 2
- Genesis 3
- Genisis 8 ( skipped 4, 5,6,7 )
It appears DAZ finally got the hint with "8" and name those charactors with the digit 8 in them but the rest have numbers in charactor names that do not relate to which set they belong. Victoria 4 for instance...there are no Genisis 4 charactors. Why "4"
Which belong together?
---------------------------------------------
Simple answer is the 1st to 4th generation DAZ figures are just that from Vicky 1 up to Victoria/Michael/Freak/Aiko/Hiro/Stephanie 4. Genesis became the standard figure (with built in morphs for Male/Female) and use a much more advanced system than prior generations. However, since DAZ kept the numbering representations for individual morphs that match up to the prior generations (thus Genesis 1 has the 5 series i.e. V5/M5/F5/A5/H5/S5). This has continued up until Genesis 3 (consequently adopting the 7 identifier for the morphs i.e. V7/M7 and so on). Genesis 8 is technically "Genesis 4", but to simplify things, the numbering convention for the generations as a whole has been adopted.
Fitting older wardrobe versions to Victoria & Michael 8My apologies if I'm beating on a dead horse, but after spending lots of cash on various bundles and a new Graphics card, most freebies currently available plain won't fit the version 8 figures. For instance, I have a pair of Wonder Woman boots that would be perfect for my current project, but are impossible to parent to my Victoria 8 figure. I've found more recent freebies that "fit to Victoria 8" only seems to pair the darned boots close to the legs but between the feet rather than on them.
Oh yeah, the Iray Super Shaders Patriotic Patterns is a bit fickle, sometimes it works right away, sometimes it won't work at all. Sometimes I need to restart my computer, open the item of clothing or prop first and then it seems to work...load the figure and then parent them.
I might be skipping a simple step leading to my frustration, but I purchased the Victoria and Michael V8 figures and I want to make good use of them. If there's a way to properly fit older versions of clothing/footwear/props, what is it?
