In case this hasn't been reported yet: Several core figures lost their "Product Add-ons" sections:

Victoria 4.2 Base, Michael 4 Base, Stephanie 4 Elite Base, Aiko 4 Base, Hiro 4 Base

    Genesis: Michael 5, Victoria 5,

    Genesis 2: Victoria 6, Michael 6, Josie 6, Stephanie 6, Gianni 6, Mei Lin 6, Aiko 6, Lilith 6

    Genesis 3: Michael 7, Aiko 7, Victoria 7

Genesis 8: Here I only checked and found: Victoria 8, Michael 8, didn't look any further.

Could that be please reported, please,  as I find these sections are very helpful?

Daz Dog 8 also lost the product add-ons section:

    https://www.daz3d.com/daz-dog-8

If it's mainly for figures with a lot of add-ons, maybe it's a performance saving change? But I hope they'll revert back to the previous situation or offer a way to browse add-on for a figure.

Actually, they also suppressed the add-on section of Genesis 9 Starter Essentials, but this is a *very very very good* thing.

Making any G9 figure/outfit an addon of Genesis 9 Starter Essentials was extremely stupid. First, loading the G9 starter essential page with its addon section composed of 20k+ elements was (how can I say) ... an interesting experience... If you have tried recently, you know what I mean. But, this is now fixed

But, if any G9 item is already an addon, it completely breaks the search of real dependencies. For instance, with "daz deals" you can find in a big list of assets which ones are addons of items that you already own.  Very useful, indeed. But if all G9 items are already addons of G9 essentials, this is a useless information that masks real addon dependencies as all G9 assets will appear in the list. And this problem is not fixed...

This prompted me to look and confirm that this feature is also lost for Daz Horse 2 and 3, the original Ultrascenery, and likely many other comparable products. That, IMHO, is a bad thing that needs to be fixed. I own pretty much all of the add-ons for items like these, but when I was building my Daz collection, I made a lot of use of picking up add-ons when on sale. As a newbie, I wouldn't even have known about all the cool add-ons that were available for some things without this feature.

Oh I really hope this is some kind of temporary glitch or a reversible mistake. I've used the feature several times to pick up extras for a base figure like the horse or the dog.

    Please Daz change your mind!

    Where is this?

Sorry Richard, just now saw your question. Please compare for example https://www.daz3d.com/gia-6 at the bottom of the page with https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-6. Although the Product Add-on section at the bottom of Victoria 6 is actually much larger, it misses altogether, while Gia 6 still has it. This is quite new, as I used it already often during March madness.

OK, I gave her a thumbs up. The result is still "User Rating: Not enough ratings yet. Be the first to rate this product"

I just gave her a thumbs up, and it says "very positive" based on 11 ratings.

Daz deals has a problem with the "product library".

When you go to visit a specific asset in the product library (for instance https://www.daz3d.com/downloader/customer/files#prod_87472 which is Victoria 9), generally, the product page is not displayed. Instead, you have the home page of the product library with the array of thumbnail of all you products.

This daz-deals behavior lasts for years. It was annoyingn but somehow manageable. Indeed, there was a simple workaround: If you refreshed the page, then the proper page appeared and could be used.

But now, it has become totally unmanageable. If you refresh the page, you do have the proper product page (sometimes), but after a few second (I measured 3-10s), the page returns to the thumbnail page.

I find this **EXTREMELY** annoying. After any purchase I browse my orders to enter the purchased items in a file with a description of the asset. And the orders only give a link to the product in the product library.

Presently, the only workaround that I found is to disable daz deals....

What heppens if you wait about a second when the thumbnails load? For me, the thumbnails appear briefly, and then the actual product page is shown. This is in Chrome.

The product page some times is never displayed, sometimes appears but always disappears after some seconds and is replaced by the thumbnails. It can be more or less long, but it always happens.

    Using firefox 148.0 on linux.

Thanks for the clarification. I will ping @Overdrawn on this one.

could also do what I do in real life with such tops, layer another one under it

or use a geoshell camisole on the character that covers the tummy

I don't think I have a geoshell product covering such situation, but yeah, these are possible solutions of course smiley (I layered something under a dress by Lilflame in a recent render and then hide every un-needed polygons with a conditionnal graft)

Thank you @Elor. I could also try taking it into Marvelous Designer I guess. I was just trying to find something quick to fix it in Daz Studio. @WendyLuvCatz has reminded me of one my frequent fixes. I am not making much sense right now, major headache.

You're welcome and I hope your headache will show itself out sooner than later.

Or a bodysuit with the top part hidden by an opacity map. Or a stylishly wide belt.  As a photographer, filmaker, and tech theater major, I've had to deal a lot of last minute costume issues, but generally, as long as it looks good to the eye, you can get away with murder.

I'm partial to conditional graft to hide all the un-needed geometry from the part supposedly sitting under another piece of clothing smiley

In this case though, I wanted a longer blazer.

    Matt_Castle said:

For a case like you're talking about though (considerably less complicated than moving fabric around many different breast shapes), it could really just be addressed by a few fairly simple fit adjustment sliders to loosen different parts of the waist... and indeed, this is what vendors tend to do instead. Or rely on smoothing to handle a bit a of clipping.

Thank you for the long explanation yes

I thought about doing universal morphs (and maybe distribute the result of that work), but I could not decide between doing one expanding the bottom part of the blazer or ones capable of changing its width or its depth.

The former was something I know how to do, but I'm not it would have been that universal because some characters will have wider waist or hip than other while being as slim as they are otherwise. Victoria 9 and Mira 9 provide such example: they are both slim women, but Mira as wider hip than Victoria.

The later would provide more flexibility, but I honestly wasn't sure how to create them, so in the end, I decided to use the simpler solution relative to my skill level and do a custom morph for Mira 9 and set up a controller to not have to care about it later.
