I see no discount at all and I'm expecting to see 30% which is the PC discount on DO's. 

Everything in the store right now is full price including sale items and new items.

There is no new geometry! There are too many people saying something like this. The eyes and teeth do not have any different geometry. Any difference you see is the texture. For the eyes, they have a new UV map. This is possibly the best change.

However, this UV can easily be applied to OG 8. The teeth? That is nothing more than a new texture. The neck is now a separate UV from the torso.

PBR Skin?? Guys, you can apply PBR Skin to a rock. Or a tree. Or a wall. Anything, let alone every Daz character ever created. Yes, you can PBR Skin to Victoria and Michael 1 if you really wanted to. PBR Skin is a shader. It is not exclusive to 8.1, though you do need Daz 4.15 and up to use it.

The eyelashes and tears are now separate props, and these props have changed, they actually do have new geometry. The lashes are slightly different while new tear prop is very different from the old tear that came attached to lashes. The new tear sort of wraps around the eye, and covers the lacrimal. This allows the eyes, lacrimal, and eyelids to be tied together better than before, and if used well this can make a difference. So I have to say the new tear is step forward.

But I must point out that even these props can be assigned to OG 8. You can simply change their scene IDs to be compatible with G8, save as new props, and boom goes the dynamite. They can be used on 8.0. So...they are not really exclusive to 8.1. Frankly any enterprising PA could have made these as a product for 8.0. I suppose they still could.

What does that leave? The facial bones have been adjusted. Some people think they look better. I think they just look different...and different is not necessarily better.

So there are a few improvements. But the reality is that nearly all of the improvements can be applied to existing G8 characters.

Genesis 2 and Victoria 4 had a lot of nice historical(ish) dresses. Whenever I do an historical or historical fantasy render I usually go to those two generations. I'm a "use whatever figure works for the render idea" so I'm not picky about generations. Genesis 8 is getting a nice selection of fantasy and historical(ish) gowns too. Using G8F a little more frequently now for those historical fantasy renders.

Also used the hat from Love Potion for G2F, with the Sugar Roses. Tree from Dark Trees Pack and this autumn leaf prop.

Retextured the dress and hat with a linen tile from Fabiana's Shader Plan - Iray Lace and Linen from Rendo.

I have another witchy render that's failing in iray so I might be back to post one more image. :)

Depends on how much I have to do today. I'd converted the old R-75 motorcycle and side car to a sleek black beast in iray -- it looked so nice! -- and now I'll have to try and get it to look as close as possible in 3DL. I don't have a lot of car paint suitable shaders for that sort of thing in 3DL so I'm going to have to do some experimenting.

I'd really love to see someone like Sangriart or Mousso take a stab at:

1) Sharon Stone (circa "Basic Instinct" - "Casino")

 

2) Doutzen Kroes ("Victoria's Secret")

 

3) Ali Larter (circa "Heroes" / "Resident Evil")

hello ok let's try, to be honest in general i would say "daz is the worst place when comes to hair for "game" most of the hairs or are particles, or are "too dense" i means fibermesh and others insane crazy high poly hairs(like 100k+++) specially for genesis 8 where dforce hairs and fibermesh hairs are almost mandatory, but you can find some "hairs which can be doable.

 

what is matter are the numbers which are you looking for, if you don't mind hairs being around up to let's say 60k or 70k vertices(which already is a lot big) then you can find some "rare stuffs.

ok here some hairs i would recommend

all the "pure hair" line from genesis 1 are good in general, some old swam hairs also are good in general

well it's really a lot of trying and mistakes, i would recomen you try to find someone to make the hairs for you to be more pratical if you can't have patient to test every hair, or don't want to waste money on wron hairs, because again excluding some specific artists and hairs here and there in general hairs in daz are really bad for game.

I did find Hyeseon Oh Victoria renders at Artstation. Its amazing, look at it:

 Im not satisfied with the look of my renders anymore. Iray skin shader is terrible. I did try adjust the default dual lobe specular and SSS settings to make the skin more shiny and pale. Nowhere near what i want to achieve. Is it possible to achieve similar result with Iray? Why Iray look that much dull and flat compare to Maya's Arnold? Eyes look much better in Arnold too. But why? 

It'd be more descriptive and less arguing if OP plainly stated looking for milf action figures.

I was about to recommend Zhirong for Mrs. Chow... and then I read the age bracket, lol. I was also way off, as "older" is quite subjective depending on your own age. Having said that, apart from those already mentioned, Satine, Ophelia 7, Ellithia 8, Monique 8, Odette, Benita for V8 & Briallen HD for Alexandra 8 are great characters within the target age brackets.

Just playing around. I've been learning how to make overlay masks in Affinity Photo. It's kind of a cool technique. The figure used is a dial-spun girl starting on the Victoria 8.1 base though Victoria is dialed way down in this figure.
