What are those genx addons I passed these items because I am not sure which kind of items these are. I don't want morph transfer because I already have all the morph and expression for all genesis generation.

The could not find messages mean just that - there's a link, in this case to Victoria 8, from the Smoother V8 20L ansd Smoother V8 20R morphs which cannot be resolved as you don't have Victoria 8 installed. Since it's a correction morph that is needed only when Victoria 8 is installed and applied that is harmless.

The messages have nothing to do with the Duplicate Formulas alert, you should be able to find log entries for those too.

And why do a base G8F needs victoria 8 ...?

It doesn't mean that Victoria 8 is needed - it means that if Victoria 8 were installed that product would have extra morphs already in place to make sure it worked properly with Victoria 8.

It never alert when I load a base G8F , but recently it alert

And today ,I add victoria 8 into my content , it still alert "duplicate formulas found in files" when I load any G8F characters ,even a base G8F

Even stranger,it's OK when I load G8M ,nothing wrong happened, and I'm quite sure I have not install any Michael 8 into my content, why...?

 

For a seamless transfer, you would have to find something that combines these two technologies, photogrammetry and mesh retopology.
If someone could combine facegen with russian3dscanner, that would be awesome.  Because r3ds handles full body meshes, and it does mesh retopology like its on steroids.
 

A custom morph would have no effect on auto fit itself, as this only fits to the base shape. However the custom morph could distort the item when it is dialled in.

Thank you. This is helpful. I didn't expect it could turn out that sometimes you get even worse results than with autofit. I never had any luck auto autofitting brows and lashes they either distort or stick to a weird place on the face. But then also I use a custom morph and it complicates things for autofit.

Well yeah I bought all genx addons at full price because back then I believed I had to convert my old M4 morph and genx was not on sale at all. Then I wasn't happy with the final outcome and rebuilt my morph from scratch and it turned out way better than my old morph ... and since then I've never touched genx again and probably never will. I have other old v4 and m4 morphs but I will probably never convert them and instead, rebuild them from scratch which kinda makes me sad because for the price of all genx addons at full price I could almost buy Edward's pro bundle on sale :(

But yeah I'm not mad. It's ok. It happens. This made me wiser.

I think he's really well made, skin and morph (Thanks to Novica for pointing me at the link :D) , the rest of the pro bundle is not so much in my line, So I'll go for the base figure I guess.

I do almost exclusively use G8, but I know how to transfer from G3 to G8 (and there's also a commercial product from Riversoft available, plus another one by Zevo is coming up.)

I did get the 3 relevant items (base, G2, G3). Can still return them if I'm not satisfied.

i get perfect position the proof is, the big toe stays on the white trajectory and the index tip stays in place

so today i'll do this mathematically speaking when i fix the animation in blender

Okay, so I've decided to give it a try, and picked up the transfer tools from Genesis up to Gen 3.

 

Is there a good tutorial specifically for how to load a customized V4 or M4 character with all of their morphs into the GenX transfer program? (And how to find that morph

 

 (I'm hoping to bring an M4 character with quite a few Creature Creator morphs up to Gen 3. If it saves them as a single morph character, that works great... but I can't seem to figure out how to load his specific morphs into the program. May have to look at it more tomorrow.)

It would be far, far better to just use the Genesis 8 model as your base for sculpting from the start. Then you don't need any crazy conversion/shrink wrap thing to try to wrap Genesis 8 to that shape. Facegen is a photogrammetry based creation tool, and has a version for Daz called Facegen Artist. Facegen is a decent place to start. At the least it should give you a decent base texture to use on G8. You might not like the morph it creates because it can be extremely generic, but you can simply not use the morph and still use the skin. Daz has a dev model for Genesis 8, you can export this model (at base resolution) to whatever your fave 3D modeling program is, and work from there. But Facegen can be very deceptive, in a good way. Because it basically inserts your photo on the G8 face, you may not notice that the actual morph is lacking. How well it works depends on just how much character your face has. If you have a gaunt face and have prominent chiseled features it may not turn out well. If you have a more round face it may work decent enough. Right now Facegen is not on sale, but it has been as low as $63 at various times over the year. It was on sale for $83 just a couple days ago.

Facegen has a free demo at their website. The demo does not give you Genesis 3 or 8, but you can test it on the first 2 Genesis generations and see how it performs for you before buying. https://facegen.com/artist.htm   You could even buy it directly from their site, but sadly they don't offer any price break for doing so, and never do a sale like Daz will.

There is another similar app for Daz called Headshop. It has some interesting ideas, but I have difficulty recommending it over Facegen. It needs some polish.

Dystopian Ninja is another recent impulse buy (there's been a few of those lately ) I'm not really interested in the sci-fi aspect of that set. But those trousers and sneaks are really cool, and reflective of real-world fashion in a way that the average DAZ product isn't.

Here he is without hair or the jacket; Head Morph, Fantasy Head Addition, Base Skin, Dragon Eyes, and the markings.  I need to reconfigure/redo the forehead portion, but it gives a good idea on where I'm going with this.

So, the various GenX products are currently on sale. I'm considering getting them to transfer morphs from Generation 4, Genesis, and Genesis 2 to G3 and then to G8. Does anybody have those products, and are they any good?
