    Hey guys,

    I've managed to get some really good, really accurate true thiccness in my characters, thanks to the advice you guys offered. The most useful recommendations it turns out, were the morph sets, I used them to make some really accurate thicc character morphs.

    I would love to have a Mia Sand morph, please do make one for us!

    I'll grab up some of the morphs you guys mentioned, and mess around with them a bit. Hopefully I can create something like I'm talking about. If not, would anyone be interested in attempting to do an accurate Mia Sand morph for G8F? I'd of course be willing to pay for it. 

    I already made a ZBrushed thicc morph, but I can surely do a ZBrushed Mia Sand morph for G8 instead of my V8, hell, I'd do it for free as I love Mia Sand's figure and I would be doing it for myself as much as for you! Like you, I cannot stand the deflated butt-look and fake-boob style that Daz has defaulted to for V8 which is why I made these morphs to begin with!

     

    Cool, I'll get on it right away! Though the face is going to take the longest, keep watch on this thread for updates!

    Any new updates on your project? Would be able to share? I'm new to Daz3d and I also like thicc models referenced instead of the usual type but having a difficult time finding them.

  • April 2020 - Daz 3D New User Challenge - Open Render Challenge

    @TristanQEverett, Re: dforce. One thing you can do is create primitives to help guide the drape. For example, a plane between the scarf and the figure's feet can be used to prevent the scarf from coming into contact with the feet. And a cube could be used, a bit higher and forward of the fence, to keep the scarf from intersecting the fence.

    I also prefer simulating using the Animation Timeline with 60 frames or more, At Frame 0 the figure is in the default pose, though frequently not at world center, (Start from Memorized Pose: Off,) adding a keyframe at Frame 0 because it isn't done automatically, then applying the final pose at Frame 30. That allows me to make tweaks along the timeline before the fiinal pose, if necessary. The fabric will "settle" during those last frames, but you can choose to use the results anywhere along the timeline.

    Depending on what you're doing, it may be best to create a morph of the simulation at the frame you like best. Here's a how-to on creating morphs from dForce Sims.

  • Shape Rigger Plus(Commercial)

    OK, so I bought Shape Rigger Plus and to test it on something ultra simple (for me, not you that can runs circles around such a task in DS) I just used one of the FaceGen Artist Pro morphs in my DAZ Library.

    1) So I load the G8M Base, delete the eyelashes, and set the eyelash upper, eyelash lower, and eyelash curl all from 100% to 0%. I'm not sure what those 3 dials do as the eyelashes I deleted and they (eyelash upper, eyelash lower, and eyelash curl) are actually located on the G8M Base.

    2) I set the viewport subD & render subD both to 0. I set the resolution from high to base.

    3) I favorite the morph. I leave it set at 0%

    4) I leave G8M in A pose.

    5) I start Shape Rigger Plus. I read the User Guide.

    6) I check the radio box to select the FaceGen Artist Pro favorited morph for Shape Rigger Plus. It says the morph is already rigged but as I know that and as just testing I ignore that. I set tolerance from 10 to 0, per the instructs it will re-rig all the bones. I also set align.

    7) I click the button to re-rig the FaceGen Artist Pro morph. It finishes pretty quick.

    8) I go to the Save tab and because it was a pre-existing rigged morph the auto-path it's using is already existing the option to save is denied. I un-check the Custom Path to save so that I have the option of overwriting the old morph file.

    9) I click to save the auto-rigger work that Shape Rigger Plus had done. The save dialogue says "Processing Morphs" and it quickly gets to 50% and has now been at 50% for 25 minutes and 20 seconds and counting. So something has went wrong, what?

    When I look into the DAZ Studioi (DAZ Studio 4.12.0.76 public beta) lots of DEBUG messages regarding traversal through vert #s & bone names. Last message from Shape Rigger Plus seems to be the ERC was successful.

    This was an existing morph. And it may of been ERC'ed and even saved as a 'pseudo-personal' product before I tried using Shape Rigger Plus on it but I really have no other clues as to why the save is stalled at 50% for over 30 minutes now. I read this entire thread before purchasing and Zev0 stated a save after using Shape Rigger Plus shouldn't last any longer than any other typical DAZ Studio save.

    After 1 hour 5 minutes plus, I use the Windows Task Manager to end the DAZ Studio task as the Shape Rigger Plus save dialogue still hadn't progressed beyone 50%.

    After restarting DAZ Studio and trying several different ways of saving that Shape Rigger Plus rerigging of that existing FaceGen Artist Pro morph there isn't a way that works really. The Shape Rigger Plus product has a bug in keeping track of what it has done or not done it seems and so seems to be unable to save what it has done with regards to rigging on an already existing morph like this one.

    I just tested on a FaceGen Artist Pro morph that had no ERCs associated with it & Shape Rigger Plus still hangs at 50%.

    Thanks for posting. Will be extremely helpful, if you will find the solution to your issue and post it here.

    I am also collecting Zev0 assets, in hope, that some day, I could use them.

    So far, my knowledge is far behind the abilities of content creators, like DMaster.

    I can only admire, that other people have so much fun with Shape Rigger Plus.

     

    Oh, I am only hobbyist having fun like you. I have only even box modeled and never sculpted! Shape Rigger Plus amounts to being able to quickly setup & utilize morphs you make in Hexagon or Blender in DAZ 3D using one of the the DAZ Genesis rigs. It's really good for that. I'm sure you'll get there when you are good & ready. I like testing new SW I get with simple cases so I can make sure problems are either the SW or my lack of understanding how to use them as both happen. I would not like to discover after a month's work that the SW I bought to help isn't up to the task. It is something maybe unique to FaceGen Artist Pro but what the problem is, he is investigating. Zev0 has already replicated the problem and is working on a fix.

  • Transfer Utility Clipping

    Have you previously made and imported clothing the same way?

    I can't really imagine what can cause this. If I rig to a base character, I have never seen that the mesh move at rigging. If you look in the parameters tab for the character under currently used morphs - is it then empty?

    Yeah I've done it this way before when testing it out and it's always worked.

    The only things in the currently used morphs are eyelash morphs, render subD minimum selection (changed that, no difference), a toon gen3d morph which is always there but set to zero and an edge interpolation selection that doesn't change anything, even with those they are the same things that are on the avatar I exported out so shouldn't have an impact anyway.

  • Error saving the file.
    Daz studio is keep crashing after saving face transfer data on Windows 10 it worked before but now keep crashing.

    Is there anything in the log file (Help>Troubleshooting>View Log File, then jump to the end, scroll back to the Daz Studio is Starting line, and look at the section above that)? What security software are you running? Do regular saves work?

  • Transfer Utility Clipping

    Hi, hope this is the right place.
    Browsed through the forum and (tried) to use the search function for this as I'm 100% certain someone at some point has had this issue but I'm coming up empty, if anyone knows of a thread dealing with this I'd love to know.
    Right, I've modelled a... let's called it an under developed motorcycle suit to stay pg-13, and I'm having an issue when I use the transfer utility.
    Here's what a section of it looks like when brought in and not transfered just a straight prop:

    When I use the transfer utility:

    I've tried as many different combinations of item shapes and projection templates as I could think of and always the same result. The clothing was modelled using Marvelous Designer with the G8F figure as the avatar and it's being fitted to an un-morphed un-posed G8F.
    I tried tweaking the weight map but with it not being posed there's nothing actually doing anything yet. I'm really not sure what's causing it to clip with the figure, it does this on the right hand side of the torso (figure perspective) on the waist line (shown) and behind the thighs, everywhere else seems to be good.
    I assume I'm doing something wrong here but I have no idea what, my only suggestion to myself is to export it out and either create a morph that brings out those areas or create a new piece of clothing with those areas expanded but that sounds like a really jank solution.
    Any help greatly appreciated!

    I took Paisley for Teen Josie 8 and tried aging her a bit using the Face Young morph set to around -30% and applying a number of other morphs to various parts of the face/head. I also used her base skin, which is probably one of the best, imo. For the lips, I removed the makeup and just decided to use the Diffuse Overlay layer to add the color.

    Very nice. Those lips are definitely attention-getting, particularly with that shade of lipstick. :)

  • [Released] ManFriday's Mesh Grabber [Commercial]

    Dumb question about the Morph Spawn option, it will work on non-zeroed meshes?
    I mean, if I use the grabber on a piece of clothing or a geograft on a char sitting far away from the world center, the morph will be created or I have to unparent the clothing/geograft and zero it to have effect?

    Dasan 8 Pro Bundle G8M         Q Suit G8M

    Dasan 8 Pro Bundle- Honestly I loaded the HD version but I can't verify that I rendered that!  I forgot to check it before I closed it out and didn't save it.  His look is good for an older gentleman but I will probably dial spin him most the time.  I like his skin it looks really good to me.  I have not messed with anything else in the bundle beyond the Q Suit.  Honestly if it hadn't been for deals I probably would not have gotten the bundle, there is to much in it I don't really care for. 

    Q Suit-Nice suit!  I know the color choice was probably because of the bundle but goodness!  So I modified it with some Unique Fabric shaders from ArtCollab.  Its got a few morphs to help with the fit.  It also has some on/off buttons, for like sleeves and shirt tail, in the parameters which I loved because I didn't have to go hunt down separate materials or presets in the folders. It is not dforce but it has a drape morph which I did use in this render.  It's also has an open and closed version of the jacket.  Overall I really liked the suit, much better than the bouncer suit in the Dain 8 bundle.

  • StrangeFate's stuff: Argentheart Crowns promos.

    Working on Shapes support while Roguey pulls her hair trying to rig the Waist with all the moving parts, in a way that will deform and still work with most shapes...

    Rather than doing custom morphs for the different shapes/characters I decided to add all the morphs and rigging necessary to all the pieces to allow them to be deformed to match (hopefully) any shape.
    Other tan the Ogre Belly piece which was a nightmare to accomodate and needed a custom morph, all other pieces use combinations or morphs to shift, expand, thicken and otherwise adapt the armor/clothing as needed, so that it doesn't only just fit, but can be bulked up again to look imposing on bigger characters like the Ogre.

    There will be custom shapes with the armor, but other than the Ogre belly piece, they're all being done with the included morphs, which I hope will mean that anyone will be able to adapt the pieces to almost any type of new body.

    Parts are not mirrored yet, so they only exist on 1 side atm :)
