Have New Issue another Character morph took over G8M folder I tried to load G8M basic and get this new muscle bound morph character defromed to a point too.

Last New models I installed Manually was Yeti and Underbelly Thug, so not sure which one is causing it and I installed James for Christian 8, and also Hell Ambassador HD for Genesis 8 Male..

I tried to un-install Underbelly, but that did no good, so I re-installed him back in.

and I took a look at Hell Ambassador HD for Genesis 8 Male and that one body does not match up.

So not sure which one it maybe, and in the last two days I installed a lot of bundles and new characters and props and stuff.

I am hoping one of you may reconize the body shape and know which one it maybe and I will see if I have it in my folders and then go to Daz and see and uninstall it to fix the issue.

I've noticed that if I add a morph for export, the plugin will also export any morphs that contain that morph name. For example, if I add "pJCMThighSide_85_L" to my export list, it will also export "pJCMThighSide_85_L_Posey" and "Karyssa_pJCMThighSide_85_L" even though those were not added for export.
I want to only export the exact morphs selected, rather than everything that matches the name.

There are batch convertors, but for a freebie option for doing it one at a time until you get them, there is a pose transfer option when you apply the pose to V4, and use a script to transfer it to G8F/G8M. On another note, if she's a socialite, she would have better/smoother skin. Money can do wonders for that sort of thing. And if you're on TV, you're also probably going to do what you can for your skin. Is there a way to reduce the cellulite effect while still keeping the basic shape of the morph? I won't mention the fact that she'd also likely have breast implants, because that's not universal. But let's face it: with socialites, it is very common. 

It's entirely possible that she was "a business woman" when she was being created. I can easily see a business woman looking like that. Then, I imagine, two other people (or teams) came up with the other stuff and didn't think it through/didn't care about the details/didn't think we'd notice. 

Would love to see more renders of her, especially in low light. There's GOT to be a way to make PBR skin look good in dim lighting, right? Daz wouldn't release a whole shader that only functions in bright lights... would they? The only PBR-skinned character I have is Torment, and I haven't used them too much because of the 4.15 requirement.

IMHO, I like Brooke. She is a plus size model and I find her attactive. I'm attaching three test shots I took of her. The only thing not from her package are her swimsuit, hair and poses.

I really LIKE her body shape. It looks a lot more natural than a lot of morphs I've seen for heavier people (except for some weirdness around the outer elbow. Her face tho...urgh. It just looks "off" to me. And the skin is atrocious. I've seen a lot of heavy people, but I've NEVER seen one with cellulite on their FACE. Also, the mouth is wonky. If I got her, it would be on a deep sale someday down the road and only IF she was really discounted and IF the NFTs disappear from the site.

Is there a way to get the claws on the hands to grow, or fangs in the mouth, without doing the full-body morph? I unhid the hidden properties looking for a slider but couldn't find one.

I suspect that some people have Tenley 8.1 and haven't fixed her problem. She pops up in every 8.1 female unless you fix a value error that is 1 and suposed to be 0. To check for this kind of problem select Brooke and look in parameters under "currently used". If you see a character morph other than Brooke, you have the problem.

Judging by their popularity and how often we see them in promo renders, Owen, Babina, Zelara and Nix come to my mind. They all have very good skin settings, so I guess this is important for a lot of customers when they buy core characters.

This is exactly right. When I sent in my ticket yesterday, I said this is when you showcase your Zelarias, Mei Lins, another character that is eluding me right now, and absolutely Owen and Nix. I always see people asking for Gianni and Lillith upgrades, I've never seen someone say you know what, we need an update to Bethany. These are the characters that, even if people didn't buy the bundle, they would have gotten the character because they're just awesome not only for the morph itself but for the skin, and they have a broader appeal than a middle aged overweight woman. Which like someone else mentioned, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, there's times when you find you need a character like it and I know there's a few folks who are ecstatic to have something like this. But this is such a small fraction of what you see folks typically use in renders and when you're doing something like this at the price point it is, it's not the time for the niche audience. Personally, I know the next two years worth of animated films I'm doing right now and she will not fit anywhere in any role and I had figured at this price point, Daz would release five characters that fit somewhat similar to their regular release models that I could have plugged and chugged in various roles easily.

Anyway, on the phone so I'm just going to touch on stuff I read directly without quoting.

This is funny: "I don't like the character so it's impossible anyone does, whoever says they do it's just them trying to justify getting the pass". Nice one, deciding my likes and dislikes for me ;)

Could I morph a similar character? Probably. But the same applies to "heroic looking" characters. Heck... Even easier. But you know what's rare? HD details and maps for middle-aged overweight characters. Sure, I have SY's Big Girl morphs and shape shift, etc, but I've always found weird using those with maps from the much more common fit and young characters. And about the skin, I didn't have too much time to test it yesterday and since I already saw that a lot of people shared previews here by the time I downloaded it, I didn't bother to do more. But beyond finding it kind of darker than what I saw on some promos, I didn't see anything wrong with it. I just figured it was a lightning thing. Again, if you don't think it's good that's fine but don't assume no one will. So, really, it's not that is not a good, unique character, it's just one some didn't like. And hey, good for you if you didn't get the pass.

About the contest, not interested because I don't have the time but yes, now actually makes more sense. Sure, should have been like that from the start but to err is human, and it wasn't that big of a mistake. Yes, it might seem like Daz has to correct info too often... But imho... There is something new every. single. day. I'd say that's to be expected, it's not like they are as big as google or something.

Anyway, I'll probably take a second look at Brooke 8.1's skin later but yeah, for me, so far it's better than if it was a character like Cleopatra 8.1. It was not a bad looking character but extremely redundant, not because it was young and fit, but because we already got Tworset and Khemsit not too long ago.

When I saw the character yesterday, I immediately knew there was going to be a lot of comments from folks saying how happy they were they didn't take the gamble and I wished I were one of them. I honestly thought Daz would bring their A game on this and wow us with five characters that were slam dunk hits, not niche characters that are great for some but not a fit for the majority. Like I said in the ticket I submitted yesterday after getting the character to complain about how underwhelmed and disappointed I was, I do a lot of toon stuff but I would never expect a toon type character in this pass because that's such a niche group of artists, and that's what Brooke is, a character for a very niche group. Hopefully they turn this around for the next four, but I'm not holding my breath anymore lol. 

I really thought they would bring the A game as well and I'd be thinking seriously about getting the next season pass if they did. I figured the next five figures would be really outstanding, and to those asking "how do you please everybody?" I respond: it's not that this character is not stellar, but that this character is very underwhelming. If you have a female character in your librarary, and a decent morph pack, you've got this character already. I understand you can't please everybody but you can at least make a stab at creating a unique and interesting character that will  appeal to a large portion of your customer base. If we took a pole of render artists, and asked how often people need middle age overweight characters for their current project, versus how many people need some heroic looking individual, I think the vast majority would say they need the heroic type for most of their renders. That's not always the case, and please, people, don't tongue lash me by pointing out the exceptions. I'm working on a piece where I needed an overweight female right now. What I'm saying is, its a very small percentage of my figure needs.

That and the skin is unacceptable. You're not just buying the character shape. You're buying the skin as well.

But I'll predict this, regardless of what people say about Brooke, if the quality of the next four characters doesn't improve (drastically) no one will be buying next season's pass.

One could justifiably come to the conclusion that there isn't really an actual plan behind any of this, that it's just one after another ad hoc decisions about when-how-if to throw something against the wall, but---before anyone checks to see if something stuck---they've changed course again. We shall see, but this has been going on too long to be considered merely a trend.

It's apparently a weird bug, which only affected a few people - but sadly it crept into the promo art.  It will be updated ASAP.
