Dragon Queen for Genesis 3 Female mildly disturbing

Is there anybody besides me who thinks the Dragon Queen for Genesis 3 Female looks a bit disturbing? I mean- her dress is practically non-existing in critical areas, and what there is, due to the texture, makes her look more naked than showing her totally nude. I won't tell what my first impression was, would be inpolite.

I just "bought" the file for free, because I wished to test if there was another way except using 4.9 for this, but there isn't. And I'll stay with 4.8. No big loss, as I didn't pay for this and don't like it (except the really impressive boots ...)

I agree with you regarding the outfit being a lot more sexual than if she wore nothing at all, but images of it are TOS compliant. Rather inconsistent, but I understand the current rules. Nudity is an absolute, and can banned, whereas clothing that is too sexual is highly subjective.

Just the opposite and want more outfits like this. i like the boots the least, go figure.

Well I have it (in DIM as well since I got it before it was pulled from there). It is an interesting item to say the least, and works just fine in 4.8, but not sure how often I would use it.

Well, I picked up a bunch of DO stuff today (including a Indy gaming license at 75% off), so I tossed the three freebies in to the cart. Of them, the only one I'm interested in is the storeroom. but free is free, and putting them into the library just in case I upgrade to 4.9....

However, Yeah, Dragon Queen is .... well.... not something I'm interested in.  However, maybe if you put a layer of chain or leather under it, it would look much better

I don't like crotch clamps personally. So while I'm not disturbed by it, I think it looks weird and improbable and far from sexy kind and more on the painful side, especially the posterior view. The dragon feet boots are nice though.

Not my style at all. Wouldn't buy it even if it did not have DRM cooties.wink

I'm with you on this. I like the outfit, but the boots probably the least too. While I can see using it as is, I can also see a lot of kit-bashing with it too. Downloading now.

  • I thought it was most excellent, and not more scandalous than the Alpha-kini.

  • As they say, sex sells, and DRM is a hard sell, so I'm not surprised to see it.

With some of the "sexy" armor, I can just add a bodysuit and it works great, but with this, I couldn't ever use that boob clamp/metal thong thing.  Our brand is built largely on non-ridiculous stuff.  If we ever had that thing in a render, we'd be "hearing" from our mostly female audience.

I can't even imagine how that thing is supposed to stay on. It's silly. If it was metal, she'd be incapable of bending. If it was anything else, the crotch would just fall off.  It's a real shame, too, since with a decent cuirass, it'd be cool armor.

    Magic, of course!

Yes, once in a very great while I make "sexy" tings - not neccessarily based on what I like, but inspired by the rather 'stripperiffic' outfits in typical fantasy art. In this case, the game TERA. As for the dragon on her back, the original texture exaggerated the articulation on it on the back, but DAZ decided they wanted differenttextures instead.

I just thought it was a terribly strange piece both aesthetically and functionally. It doesn't come off as wearable on a humanoid being, perhaps it could work on something robotic, as it's apparently metal. Then again, it wouldn't look sharp in such a contest either.

Sexy? Not, if you ask me. Then again, I'm more into glittering weils and semi-transparent stuff if I should dress up a woman to be sexy. Think 1001 nights and genie outfits.

I imagine sexy models sell really well based on how much of it is out there. Most of your female armor is actually really well done. None of it is boob plate, either, which actually can actually be more dangerous, since the ridge between the boobs creates a pressure point on the sternum. Also, Thanks for making monsters, which I always buy.

Hera, I agree. Maybe it's an age thing?  I remember when I was young and I just wanted to see as much as I could (because hey, I had seen very little of it).

Yeah I'm all for fantasy skimpwear, but I have to agree with Hera. That groin clamp is just weird and is something I would never have any sort of heroic character wear. As just a suggestion, it having a strap that could be hidden if the user wanted that clamp style might make it a more appealing and practical product. Same goes for really skimpy tops; put straps on them that can be hidden if we want pasties. More options = more likely to buy.   :)

I've been looking for a good morphing veil for a long time. Finally ended up just using a skirt (which worked surprisingly well, lol).

  • Hm.. Ive seen wayyyy more tawdry than that. A lot more, even. Im not demure by any sense of the imagination... but we're talking things that made me blush, and silently die. just a little. Thats saying something.

I think the outfit is cool. Kudos Val!

"There will be no DAZ Connect-only products for the foreseeable future" ...umm, less than 24 hours is unforeseeable?  Ouch

What is rather um, unique is the leering dragon looking at her hiney in the second thumbnail promo.

I've described my aesthetic as Sexy Halloween Costume, but this really doesn't do it for me.  I mean it looks well made, but just doesn't ring my bells.

I didn't like it a lot, but thought the boots were unusual. What did cross my mind was that I would probably have picked it up as a freebie if I'd spent enough money anyway, 'just in case' bits of it came in handy one day, and it made me wonder just how skewed the 'people like this so we'll make more' figures were because of people doing the same thing. I don't see how sales data can ever be reliable when a product is launched that way.

As it was 4.9 (and encrypted only) I hadn't bothered looking at them,

Looks uncomfortable, but the fantasy art genre seems to be able to blithely ignore that. :)

Like the boots though. They haven't got heals, which is a major plus. But encrypted only is a nono.

These otufits are not my thing but I have nothing against them.

I only dislike the logical falacies such as, how the hell does that thing covering her genitals not fall off : D

There are only two possibilities this clamp sticks:

magic (you can explain everything with magic, as long a you throw logic overboard)

or glue (VERY inconvenient for the woman)

  • ToyenToyen Posts: 2,048

Yep magic sounds better but I still don't like it. Although it is better than when realistic outfits have this kind of thing going on.

Same with Starter/Pro bundles. There are probably some items from these who very few like.

  • I think the outfit looks great, very much the "Impractical Fantasy Wear" style.  My only complaint is that when you bend the leg, the dragon face on the knee gets horribly distorted.  It only seems to do it when the boots are fitted to G3F.

I just don't like what that Dragon larvae thing clinging on her back appears to be doing to her.  When I saw the back view mild distaste went to ewwww, no!

Well, us dragons are known to be horny.

What is the big deal about the outfit being real or not. Dragons are not real as far as I know. (please don't give me the lizard argument). If everything has to be real within the limits of your imagination, why bother doing art at all. I applaud vendors/artists who push the bounderiers.
