Signing in/out is becoming a joke

After several months of the new forum design, I find it hard to believe that I still get signed out/in every time I visit the forums. We keep hearing that DAZ are working on it, it's random, it's difficult to pin-point, blah, blah, blah.
Come on, guys!! In 20+ years of surfing the net, I've NEVER had this problem with any other site. How is it conceivable that in 2016, a site can't keep me signed in from one day to the next? DAZ seem to have no problem finding extremely complex and creative ways to connect software/store, and all sorts of other wonderful innovations, but they can't fix a simple cookie issue?
I'm really, really tired of this daily hassle over such a seemingly minor problem. And yes, I've done all the cache/cookie clearing others have suggested.

My exact thoughts on the matter. I, too, keep getting logged out everday. Quite frustrating.
Quite agree. Following a link in an e-mail is a pain because it logs you out and you have to start all over again!
About time it was sorted.
I get logged out like every three days, or something like that, definately not every morning. I use Lastpass so it is no big deal for me to sign back in.
Funny to see this, as I just got signed out and in... The past week or so it has been happening a lot... But at this point I just figure whatever is the cause of it is here to stay until the next forum change.
I only do on my PC now
I stay signed in on my iPad
The site sometimes shows me as signed in when I'm apparently not. I can tell because it'll show me items I've already bought even though it's set to hide them. I log in again and those items disappear. (It happened again this morning.) What's even more fun is when I'm not fully logged in and I try to visit the forums. It gets stuck in a loop trying to log me out/in and I have to close the browser tab.
click on the STORE link during the websites inability to $#!+ or get off the pot, then log in from the Stores login link and then go back to forums.
I think it works exactly how Daz intended; it takes you directly to the store where you talk less and spend more.
Maybe website software has achieved sentience and is suggesting all of us to go away. What's next? a T-600 knocking at our door "politely" (read with a chain gun) reinforcing the suggestion?
I hate it when it happens in my iPad, I have to type full credentials.
On my pc I let it do its sign in/out looping until it finishes.
I wonder if the web admin feels ashamed for showing off his/her skills.
DAZ doesn't care, they will never care until the store's bottom line fails their expectations and they decide to get somebody onto the job who has the skill and a mandate to fix it. Meanwhile it's going to be lowest priority.
I think this software was bought (possibly as part of a Craigslist hookup side deal) as is and not developed in house, it's incredibly limited and appears to be part of a package that was designed for someone who did not want to think about what might and might not be useful for the user base. IMHO it's far worse than what they had before and the limitations of bug tracking solution they went with is useless as well as it lacks any collaborative features that allowed other users to suggest workarounds and fixes when the devs couldn't or never bothered to respond to.
This wouldn't surprise me. I'm beginning to think that the forum search is so pants/non-existent because they think we'll give up on looking for answers and info in the forum and go search the store for an overpriced Dreamlight tutorial instead. The mods here have my total respect - the job must be a lot harder when you can't find a thing and are being bounced in and out of the forum all the time.
I seem to be the opposite of everyone else. I usually browse the site logged out, and only log in to buy something or post a comment - after which I promptly log out again.
The forum search is actually still in the html code of the page, but there is also an incorrect javascript that prevents all further javascripts to run, so it does not fire up to change the default "search store" to "search forum".
Well this Mod is reading this and chuuckling at all the different and unlikely Conspiracy theories and wondering how many more are going to be posted.
42 more?
now that I have stopped laughing at your purple text, I do what you do to sign back in.
cho I don't have any conspiracies that come to mind but if I do think of any I will be sure to mention them
I usually see all items on first logging in, I have to refresh to get them hidden. Of course it may be a good thing not to know just what proportion of the Daz store I already own.
I'll add my voice to that of the OP, because MacLean definitely has a valid point. How are we, the customer base supposed to take a company serious that can't even get their own site working correctly?
I have been signed out twice already today and its 2:20 AM
It's all just one big conspiracy. The whole universe and everything!
Speaking of having to refresh the page, I almost never see the new items when I first visit the store each day. I know there are some because there will be new images in the scrolling banner at the top which will show one or two of them, but I don't see them in the product grid unless I refresh the page.
I expect this is all part of the conspiracy to make it look like there is no conspiracy ;)
exactly!
Wait, whuuut???
Well, I made the original post 6 hours ago, and I'm back again. And guess what? Yup! I was signed out, and had to sign back in. On a daily basis would be bad enough, but after 6 hours?
Unfortunately, I don't have any conspiracy theories. I've worked with DAZ for 14 years now, and I know them fairly well. Well enough to know there's no malice aforethought. My personal belief is that this issue just isn't very high up on their list of priorities. Which is annoying, but I'm sure I'll live through it. What with global warming, imminent war and all the other brouhaha around me, this is a minor problem. The thing that does irritate me is that it's probably a minor fix too, so I wish someone at DAZ would put down their coffee cup and deal with the damn thing for once and for all!
Me, too. Happened this morning - my little dude was blue, but I wasn't really signed in. I made the mistake of adding 3 items to the cart. When I went to checkout, I found out I wasn't logged in. So I logged in and now my cart was showing as empty. No biggie, I'll just re-add the 3 items to my cart. Only problem is the store wouldn't let me add them to my cart because it showed the in-cart icon. But again, when I go view my cart it's empty.
Log-out. Log-in. Same thing. Only thing that fixed it was adding another item to my empty cart - poof now I had 4 items lol.

That has been a separate bug for a rather long time (with the store software and nothing to do with the forum software)...and yes, the fix is to add another item to get the cart to resync...then delete the 'extra' item.
That is what annoys me! I'm still in the mindset of useing the search to look-up threads, like back on the previous site, but now it just takes me to the store.
No, DAZ! I'm not buying anymore Genesis 3 crap today! Just be greatful that I buy ANYTHING Genesis 3 right now!
I re iterate from another thread
Well I have one now they want us searching the store
Does get quite tiresome. I even stopped checking my posts at work thinking if I don't log in at work that perhaps I'll stay permanently logged in at home. NOPE. Last time I sat there and counted a full minute (little over actually) for the loop de loop to stop to finally log me back out. Funnily I was just in the store before that adding something to the cart. Usually when I do that I'll get the "Signing you in" notice when I'm next on the forums but this last time I was signed out in loop de loop hell! I agree with Mac, this is probably a simple fix but for what ever reason they are not fixing it. It was a similar issue in the old forums. So perhaps they just like pissing off their user base, maybe that makes them laugh or something. I don't think it's funny, it's off putting!
