    Nothing in the new QG for me, alas. Unless I decide to pick up Olympia 9 or Dain 9, which I doubt I will do. 

    The QG/OS pricing is really getting random isn't it? Olympia is $4.99 & Dain is 99¢

    I got him in his megabundle for $3.99, which is probably the only way I would have got him. I came up with Coral megabundle and 3 other big bundles for the same price at the same time for a very nice total $19.95. His cyber features make my 3060 unhappy. Crunch, crunch, crunch! But I usually tweak figures I use to render faster and be more filament-friendly. So, that's not really a problem. It's an annoyance. His cyber stuff does look good. He has 2 textures for his man parts and a texture for G8.1 female parts, if you choose to equip him that way. His HD looks quite nice at subdiv 4. If you like the way he looks and have a more powerful videocard (or more patience than I've got), he should be fine. If you like his bundle, there's a case to be made for waiting 'til the holidays to see what comes up. Otherwise, no harm getting him now. Do I even dare mention that all the bundles I got were in OS at the time and for $1 off per bundle? No wonder there are no more bundles in OS! But I still say Thanks, Daz!

    Yes. But there might be a method to the madness. I've noticed some items will pop up in QG for 99 cents. Next time they show up, it's $1.99 or more. Knowing that base figures pop up for 99 cents, I wouldn't actually pay more unless I needed the figure right now. I'm not tracking anything with any rigor. I do think it's best to buy stuff you like when it pops up at 99 cents because that's usually a pretty-good-to-great, no cart-Jenga price.

    Another week has rolled on by!

    Here's your reminder to:

    •  grab your QG's before midnight UTC (roughly 7 PM eastern daylight in the US)
    • don't freak out if changeover doesn't happen right at UTC midnight, as it seems like things often change at around 15-past
    • don't freak out if the prices seem high; usually they're right in cart initially, and the store catches up with it at normal Daz changeover

    its never the 1.99 the store shows me 

    interesting, it 39.99 on Safari on iPad

    I am NOT clearing my cache on my desktop yet again

    DAZ3D store is the only site that seems have this issue 

    at least it stops me spending 

    is full price on Edge too

    seems it drops to 1.99 at store changeover the day Outlet is going to

    and yes, it gets the Outlet corner logo too

    will capture it next monthwink

    What is likely happening is the timezone settings for the web host and the product database are different. So there's a gap in pricing during the timezone difference.

     I've found the pre-adjustment in-cart prices to be pretty accurate. As a matter of hygiene, I clean my caches regularly but I whitelisted the cookies for Daz and a few other sites so I don't get logged out. 


    as for reappearance of figures, that's not as easy as it seems. Assuming the figure reappears, I've noticed the price point is usually different. If I want something, I try to grab it when it's 99 cents because it'll usually be more when it comes back!

    That's weird! I don't know why your prices would be wrong.
     

    Where the bulk of my shopping is WL/QG, I like to get a month of D+ when I'm ready to buy stuff. It ends up costing me less for whatever I'm going to buy and I get the coupons etc.

    I was so happy to see https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-hawk-eye-wildenlander-hd-for-genesis-9 in the new QG at 90% off (for paid tiers). I've had it in WL forever. I know the bow is unrealistic but I have other bows so it's a non-issue.

    If you want the textures pack, Luthbellina's shop currently have a 40% Golden Ticket extra discount, instead of 30%.

I can reduce the subdivi levels and save the item out but... Really needs some normal mapping in place of hd morphs. The base mesh on items I've bought are not stingy and a lot of the details don't change the profile of the item.

    Huh. The blurb says you can get great results with no or low sub D, so why so heavy to load. When you save out the lower sub D, how do you save it, as a wearable?

     I'm referring to https://www.daz3d.com/dark-sovereign-hd--a-lich-visage-for-genesis-9 and https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-hexenblade-hd-armor-for-genesis-9 as my examples. If this one is lighter, cheers to that! The full blurb says "The geometries are very optimized, with videogame industry base polycount standards (total polycount of 75.000 quads). You can get awesome rendering results with low subdivision levels (even with no SubD at all!) or you can unleash all the brute power of this set thanks to its HD morphs, developed at level 4 of subdivision." I'd be interested to know how it loads.

    @Torquinox I might not pick it up until tomorrow but I will let you know how Hawkeye works out. 

    The blurb also says it is designed for both male & female, which is a plus

    with Luthbels stuff, the maps in many channels is the oveload not the mesh

    remove everything but albedo and cutout opacity and see the difference in render load and time

    use just the extras you need for closeups

    well, the new QG is already  up, with the wrong pricing yet, but they do come in correct in the cart.  As  has been the case for over a month now, nothing much of interest to me. There's next week.
