AniMate Lite / AniMate2

Guys,

I need your help! I'm working on a fairly big project and I've now come to the part when I need to work on animations, lots of them. But to my surprise, no AniMate on my Daz. Not even AniMate Lite.

About installed plugins doesn't show anything either. I'm not sure if it matter or not, but I'm on the Premier Plan.

Does anyone else face this issue, is it even an issue or is it just me not doing something right?

Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you!

Animate 2 is for purchase @ https://www.daz3d.com/animate2. You actually have to purchase different animation that you want to do in it also. I believe it came with some basic animations, can't remember for sure though. Not even for sure if animate lite is around anymore. Hope this helps.

Hi there. Thanks for this, it does help a lot actually. I really thought I messed up something. I'm glad it wasn't the case. But it makes me sad though. First, I became a Premier sub for Render Queue, and now this. What started as included cool features, became only available if subscribed or purchased. Shame.

Thanks again for letting me know.

I believe the AniMate plugin is not yet available in the DAZ Studio 6 BETA version.
That is, unless I've missed the latest release news.
If you want to use AniMate Lite / AniMate2, please use Daz Studio 4.x.

  • They abandoned 3rd party items that won't work in v6 .. I am in the same boat and luckily I still have my old CAD machine with DAZ v4 and have to finish a project there.

I tried the BLENDER thing, but found it too 'difficult' to learn how to use when they, themselves, kept making the menu system more complicated from the v2 I was used to.

They are NOT (at this point in time) looking into bringing AniMate2 into v6 .. a 3rd party script would likely need to be created but not sure if that would even work.

You can have DS 4 and DS 6 installed on the same machine, the only way in which they fight is which is used when you double-click a script or .duf file. You cana lso have the beta and general release isntalled, so that is potentially four different versions.

They who? The SDK has been released, so it is now up to the various developers to decide if they will produce a DS 6 version and if so on what terms.
