Is anyone having issues applying Mat files to legacy hairs such as Amber Hair?   In DS6, the model wil load but I can't apply apply textures using the mats provided.  I have discovered this is also the case with many OOT hairs for V4.  They all continue to function properly in DS4,

Delete ds files if pz2 are present, and works.

However, the material will only work if the folder containing all the material files is located in “Content Directory Manager/Poser Formats” and not in the 'DAZ Studio formats" It will be enough to move it if necessary.

I have a Logitech G500s since 2009 which uses the built-in memory, but the driver is installed. And yes use W10.

After that, to play Warzone, I changed a few things in the Regedit.

And all crash is related to DzStyledTimeAsFramesPropertyWgt

Well, I removed a large portion of the mouse tweak, delete the HIDusb service, and restored the SmoothMouseXCurve and SmoothMouseYCurve registry values, but I left the polling rate at 1000 instead of the default. Even though it’s basically more of a placebo effect in games, I don’t think that was the cause.

Thank you! I gathered up all of the .ds files and dropped them in a folder. It worked!  I appreciate the help.  This one would have bugged me for awhile!

Do they work if you chnage the extension to .dsa? I can't recall if materials presets used any code that wouldn't just carry over - what has gone is the tool for converting the scripts.

I tried changing the extension to .dsa.  on the Daz Studio format side of things and it generated this error when I tried to apply the texture.

It's easier to save a .duf file in DAZ 4.24 so you can use it in DAZ 2026. Remove the .dsa extension, the dynamic clothing and other features are lost.

In my logs, is there a problem accessing the “temp” folder in DAZ???

EDIT : NOPE, All the issues are related to Qt6—even the speed scroll mouse Daz to crash. Now I understand better why they were talking about my mouse...

On another PC, Windows 11 is even worse...
DAZ 2026 disappears immediately, so goodbye the crash saves... But there are still some survivors...

Genesis 8.3.obj. If it's not the language of the pharaohs, then it's squares... But And it crashes every time I click “Create”.

As of now, Daz 2026 has are well-groomed for Mac, but for Windows 10/11, it's been a real disaster...

    I rename obj "Genesis.obj'

Same, DS crashed on my side ~

DS 6.x...no matter general release or public build, is not a stable version at all, esp. for advanced users. Better work with DS 4.2x ~~

DAZ 2026 is faster than 4.24 in a lot of ways, but yeah, that's true. AND there are plenty of things I've forgotten because it was so frustrating to waste hours...

it runs better on the Mac than it does on Windows? Boy that's really one for the books. But don't forget, it doesn't run natively on the Mac.

Ok why not (does it crash at least once every time you use it? Yes/No), I'm going to rephrase what I said: daz 6 it has the reliability of an alpha first release, that way, no one will be jealous.

Maximize my chances without crashing, I shouldn't edit a morph's percentage, sliding a morph, avoid using the IRay preview, avoid the dforce simulation, use so-called “advanced” features, use the “disengage scroll” on my mouse—and those are the things I remember.

Since it's an access violation in dzcore, Qt6core... AND all of this with 2 PCs running Windows 10 and 11

Well, it seems like the crashes are coming from G9. With G8, I don't get any crashes when sliding a morph or editing a percentage.

I installed the update for the Beta 6.25.2026.19821 this morning on my MacMini M4 and then download the rest of my updates and purchases. I opened the Beta and after running Update and Merge all my scripts were there where I had put them under Scripts, C66Toolbox and Favorites. I then checked out my new products and did metadata adds that I do to add extra layers. No issues and I am running Content Database Maintenance>Export User Data without issues as well.

Yesterday I did a render of a Filatoon character on the regular 6.25.2026.14722 on the MacMini M4 and was happy to find Measure Metrics now available and it worked great. I did not run into any issues. I think others might call me a 'non-advanced' user, even after 10 years. But I am seeing progress and I want to thank the DAZ team for all their hard work.

This issue still persits in the latest DS 6 PB :

    1) Left-click in Viewport, scroll mouse-wheel, Viewport zooms in / out as expect.
    2) Now move the curse to any other pane group, e.g. Scene pane, Parameters pane, Smart Content pane or even toolbar / status bar, scroll mouse-wheel, Viewport still zooms in / out.

No such issue in DS 4.2x.

I would like to know if the following issue is specific to my system or if others are experiencing it as well.

In Daz Studio 6, when using the Geometry Sculptor, holding the Ctrl key and scrolling the mouse wheel in either direction only decreases the Falloff Radius value. It never increases.

In Daz Studio 4.24, the Geometry Sculptor works correctly—the Falloff Radius increases or decreases depending on the direction you scroll the wheel.

As a side note, the Node Weight Map Brush in Daz Studio 6 works perfectly fine; Ctrl + mouse wheel correctly increases and decreases the Inner/Outer Radius values.

On my end, this Falloff Radius bug has been happening since Daz Studio 2025 ALPHA 6.25.2025.19807 (the version where Geometry Sculptor was first released to the Public Build channel) and persists in the latest release.

Can anyone else reproduce this on their end?

Yes, the issue has been long standing there since DS 2025 was released, there's no fix up to this latest DS 6.x PB.  Besides, Ctrl + PgDown / PgUp doesn't work either though the plugin states this alternative shortcut works...

I'm relieved to know it's not just my system, although it's a shame the bug hasn't been fixed yet. Good to know about the Ctrl + PgDown / PgUp issue as well.

All of the sudden I got a crash with an error saying "Faild to load image...(followed by the path to my HDRI)". I saved the report but I'm not sure how to submit it.

There was a problem in DS4 if, on Windows, the HDRI was set in the Environment tab and it the path to it was a UNC; \\hostname\... rather than G:\HDRIs\... (i.e. a local drive, and not, IRC, a mounted network drive).  In DS4 Daz would be unable to find the file after the scene was closed and re-opened.  I suspected it was a Qt4 misfeature because I don't think it happens in DS6 but I haven't tested it much.  If your HDRI Is on a network drive (not a local hard/flash drive) it's worth an experiment copying it to a local disk.

I have a scene with 2 visible characters, a Genesis 3 female and a Genesis 8 male. When using the universal tool or the node selection tool the Genesis 3 female works normally, i.e. click on a forearm and the forearm is highlighted/selected on the Scene tab. Unfortunately with both tools when I click on the forearm of the Genesis 8 male the character itself is highlighted/selected on the Scene tab. On the Viewport the Tool Tip correctly shows that the mouse is hovering over the forearm and the forearm is highlighted but when I click on it the forearm is not selected, the character itself is selected. If I want to select the Genesis 8 male character's forearm I have to drill down on the Scene tab until I reach it.

Is there some setting I am unaware of that is causing this or is it a bug?

The last thing I did in DAZ 6 before this started happening was to reset the Genesis 8 male character's pose by selecting the character, right-click to 'Select Children', and then use the Edit>Figure>Restore>Restore Figure Pose to prepare the character for a new pose. I also did this with the Genesis 3 female character who is working normally. Perhaps the 'Select Children'  step is unnecessary? I normally use Riversoft's 'Universal Zero' product for this purpose but a recent update to this product has bugs.

    Notes:

    1) I used the forearm as an example, this happens with every single node on the Genesis 8 male character. The Tool Tip and hightlight on the Viewport is correct but clicking on it only selects the character itself.

    2) I saved the scene and then shut down and restarted the PC but the behavior was exactly the same.

    3) The exact same scene opened in DAZ 4.24 does not do this, it only happens in DAZ 6. It's the same Genesis 8 male in the same scene and it works as expected in DAZ 4.24 but does not work correctly in DAZ 6. The Genesis 3 female works correctly in both DAZ 4.24 and DAZ 6.

    4) DAZ versions: 4.24.0.4 (64-bit) and 6.25.2026.14722 (64-bit)

    5) PC running Windows 11 Professional with an Intel CPU and an Nvidia 5090 video card with studio driver version 576.80

Pet peeve: Why are there both 'Shoulder Bend' and 'Shoulder Twist' nodes with the same things on the Parameter tab in a different order? Ditto with 'Forearm Bend' and 'Forearm Twist'. Ditto with 'Thigh Bend' and 'Thigh Twist' but strangely not with 'Shin'. This causes more drilling with no additional functionality and in my current situation it's annoying to have more things to drill through with no apparent purpose. Perhaps if I knew the reason for this it would be less annoying?

I can't replicate, so it might be one of your settings.

    Seems I can't add a video.

Perhaps you're right, any idea what setting? The problem only happens in DAZ 6 so whatever setting it is must be new. I guess I'll continue using DAZ 6 as a rendering tool only to avoid this unknown setting. I sure hope nothing is ever done to make DAZ 4 obsolete.

Added later: I discovered what caused the problem and it's not a setting in DAZ 6. It is caused by an old 3rd party product applied to my character that apparently is not compatible with DAZ 6 although it works fine in DAZ 4. Applying this 3rd party product to a Genesis 8 male character causes this problem in DAZ 6 and removing the product from the character eliminates the problem. My character was made a few years ago and I use a different 3rd party product on more recent characters that does not cause this problem. I'd be surprised if anyone else is still using the old product that causes this problem in DAZ 6.

Check in Tool Settings pane, if Node Selection Mode is set as Root Node First. If it is, the behavior should be: if nothing is selected in Viewport, the 1st click selects the figure's root node, the 2nd click and the following clicks select the target sub-node(s), i.e. children bones.

Edit: You can directly set Node Selection Mode to Node, it'll directly select a target node.

Thanks, I was unaware of that setting. Unfortunately it is set to 'Node' so that was not the cause of the problem I was having. It turned out that a 3rd party product I added to the Genesis 8 male character is partially imcompatible with DAZ 6. It works correctly in DAZ 4 but this strange selection behavior happens in DAZ 6 when using the product. It's an old product and was never popular so I don't think it will bother many people. I no longer use it myself but I have characters I created a long time ago that do and I don't want to change their appearance. Cheers!
