Hey Daz, I can't read your sale terms on my HD monitor. Good thing I didn't try it on my husband's UHD laptop screen.Talk about checking the fine print!

    All I had to see was the word "punch" and I opted out.

    Anyone been able to translate that fine print? I can't read it...  way way too small...

    I could read it once I had zoomed my browser into 200%, but it made it a bit blurry and still not easy to read.

    Punchable and products bought with punches etc are not returnable, unless deamed faulty by customer services.

    I tried to load it and my browser only gave me the what turned out to be the last five lines. Five incredibly teeny tiny miniscule lines. I didn't realize there was more.

    I did a copy on the text, so let's see if that works... Huh. It worked. Below is the text somewhat enlarged. (I kind of expect -- and hope -- that this post will be edited by the moderators and the text below moved to its own thread.)

     

    2015 Holiday Sale Details and Disclaimers:

    How are Punches Eamed?
    - Purchase any daily featured new release(s) to earn a punch(es).
    - Punches are applied after purchase is complete.
    - Please allow 5 minutes for punches to update on promo page.
    - Maximum amount of punches that can be earned is 5 per week.

    How Long Do My Punches Last?
    - The Punch Meter is reset each week on Monday at 11:59pm MDT. Punches are then set back to zero for the new week with the exception of;
    - Any punches earned for purchases made on Saturdays or Sundays during the promotion will roll over to your Punch Meter the following week.

    Can I Return My Purchase(s)?

    Products purchased to earn punches or for which discounts were applied due to earned punches are non-returnable unless verified as faulty by Daz Customer Service.

    I don't see my punch discounts on the product lists or product detail pages. What gives?

    Your punch discounts can only be seen in the shopping cart. Add the items you want to your cart and view the shopping cart page. Voila! Your discounts are applied with a bit of christmas magic!

    Additional Discounts for Punches Earned

    Discounts are applicable based on amount of punches a customer has at time of purchase. Discounts for one amount of punches earned are not combined with discounts for lower amounts of punches earned.

    has anyone figured out teh TODAY'S FEATURED TOP 2015 ITEMS discount yet? Says UP to 70% off, but no discounts are showing at all, and when I put one in the cart, there's still no discount. Are you supposed to get that discount if you buy something? There's nothing at all on the page to say WHAT you have to do to get the discount. 

     

    And yeah, wow that is TINY wrting. I can't read a thing on it.

    Extremely poor placement by the web team too. That information should be on the promo page where you click to go read about the sale, and not require another click to go find it.

    Ok, so you have to buy 5 things to get enough punches to get the full 70% off the top 2015 items, i get it now. I'm assuming those items will stay there for te duration of the punch sale? And not rotate? cos who buys 5 new releases in one go?

    I can see people getting confused with this quickly. They'll wonder why their punches didn't register.

    The main promo page says... Punch meter resets every Tuesday at 11:59 MDT.

    However the fine print page...How Long Do My Punches Last? 
    - The Punch Meter is reset each week on Monday at 11:59pm MDT. Punches are then set back to zero for the new week with the exception of; 
    - Any punches earned for purchases made on Saturdays or Sundays during the promotion will roll over to your Punch Meter the following week

     

    Red bold emphasis added for pointing out the issue.

    Hopefully some clarification is coming on that...

    You wouldn't want to do that anyway- the way this is set up, you'd want to buy one thing, move to the next higher discount, buy another thing, move to the next higher discount...while it is nice to get discounts faster, wow, that's going to be a lot of orders. It says wait 5 minutes for it to go through too.

    Okay, I like the fancy sales systems, but this one's a bit much even for me. Fortunately I don't have any money for a week to lose in confusion.

    Also hahahaha @ full details page. MY monitor is a 48" TV in 1080p and I can't even read that.

    Clarification would be nice indeed. Another strange thing about that text is that no matter if it's monday or tuesday it resets, it kind of suggests that the punches earned on that monday/tuesday will be lost in the reset as it states that only the saturday and sunday punches wil be saved... So according to that it would make most sence to have the reset at sunday 11.59pm. That would make this first week a couple days short though.

    I m thinking the punch sales format must be working for DAZ 3D, and customers, if they have kept it. Just a thought.

    I put the Planet Explorer for G2M and the Alphakini Bundle in my cart, but nothing happened... As it is on the list, I think the Bundle should be discounted.

    Thank you, vwrangler, for making the fine print visible. This could only be an error on DAZs side, but why doesn't it have been corrected immediately?

    EDIT: Reading the fine print again I saw that there is no discount on the listed items. Or am I wrong? Somebody should explain, please; otherwise I'll ignore this strange sale.

    I do have to say that I think this sale is resulting from what DAZ heard people suggesting last year. If I recall, the comments were that waiting to get a discount (having to get 5 punches) wasn't appealling, and they have at least attempted to give you immediate gratification by earning a discount right away. This is not ignoring that many people didn't like the punch sales, but many people do, (at least in the ones where you keep your punches and keep building. Don't know how this one will play out.)  These give fast discounts but erase each week so I'm not a fan and sitting out but mostly because I chose to get several groups yesterday of the buy 3 get 60% and now I'm glad I did! But love the products for today.

    Thank you, vwrangler, but this is... no, thank you. They don't even tell me about the exact discount on the bundle. Or do they? 5%, or more? frown 'Up to 70%' could be every amount between 0,00000000000001% and 70%... ;-)

    Isidorn, Mars 360 HDRI is for Iray only, isn't it?

    Novica, I agree - some of the products for today are really nice, but the procedure isn't, if it takes so long and they don't tell you how much discount you get, and when, and whatsoever... frown

    So - if I've deciphered this correctly - if I manage to rack up 5 punches between now and whatever day the week actually ends on, I can get a discount of 58% on the oldest content from the handful of PAs Daz put on sale (who may or may not be ones I want to buy from), and lower discounts on their newer stuff. But we've already had discounts of 55% and then 60% on the *whole store* over the last two days, so that's not much of an incentive. If I wanted it and could afford it, I've already bought it. The 70% off random products "of 2015" is nice, but not worth buying 5 new products a week for. All in all a meh sale. I won't be buying much. The only good news is the Christmas freebies are back. So thanks Lyoness and thanks in advance to the other PAs taking part.
