    Look here: /People/Genesis 9/Poses/AlFan/Smart Enhancing System — Breast Control/

Also, check the readme to find out what files come with an asset: https://docs.daz3d.com/public/read_me/index/116000_116999/116771/start

When I installed it via DIM for some reason it didn't show up in DAZ after install, not in the Poses/AIFan folder, nor under the G9 Pose Controls/AIFan. I grabbed the manual download file, extracted the files into my DAZ content directory, and now it shows up, so maybe give the Manual Download a go.

Same Problem here. It wont show either in the AI sub folder (I only see the normal Smart Enhancing System without Breast Control) and it wont show up in the Posing plane on the right either. DIM download and manual download didnt help. First Product that does this so im a bit confused

installed via DIM and not showing as installed.

The folders for the manual download are empty, so I'm guessinng that's the same for the DIM versionb as well.

I have extracted the different folders inside the zip archive downloded with DIM and I have installed them manually. It works. I think it's the "---" in the data folder name that causes the error because the files are not installed in the correct the folder.since the name is truncated.

They are installed in the folder:

    /data/Daz 3D/Genesis 9/Base/Morphs/AlFan/Smart Enhancing System

    instead of:

    /data/Daz 3D/Genesis 9/Base/Morphs/AlFan/Smart Enhancing System — Breast Control/

So you can either extract the different folders and install them manually or rename the folder correctly.(add " — Breast Control" after the folder name (don't forget the space before the ---).

My old version of winzip can't extract anything due to the file names. How the heck did this get past QC?

If you can't extract the files, you can either download a freeware that will do it or you can do this:

    - Create a temporary base directory/runtime in daz studio.

    - Tell DIM to install the files in that directory/runtime and take the files out of it.

    - Install the files manually in your usual runtime.

    - delete the temporary base directory/runtime.

Just a suggestion, of ourse. :)

Tried extracting into a temp install folder and the extract failed, throwing an error on every file. Had to nuke Winzip with task manager. Have to wait for Daz to fix I guess. Will file a ticket.

has anyone created a ticket about this issue?

there was today an update, but it's still broken for me.

  • liquid1911liquid1911 Posts: 38

Yeah.... Same here. Even the manual download has empty folders for me

  • UnseenUnseen Posts: 805

Same for me. I keep my manual instlltion decribed above since it works.

This time nothing else than the runtime folder is extracted by DIM. When you extract the pack manually, all the folders are correctly extracted with their orrect names but DIM seems to be unable to install them.

I can manually extract them no problem but all folders except the runtime folder are completely empty. The folder heiarchy is there and correct, just no files. Same thing with a manual download from the store website.

"—" is a Unicode character... DIM doesn't support Unicode / special characters in the folder name and file name for installation...  that's why DSF / DUF files in the package cannot be correctly installed.

If you want to install the package with DIM, you have to unzip the package, replace "—" with "-" in the folder names under data folder / People folder, etc., Manifest.dsx and metadata dsx file...

Besides, "—" character in all DSF files have to be replaced with "-" as well (batch replace with Notepad++)... otherwise ERC links will be broken ~

PAs shouldn't name folders / files with any Unicode or special characters.

And QA should notice these things. I have another asset where MacOS files are in the DIM archive and install into the data directory. Daz complains the files are corrupted because they're MacOS resource files, not compressed JSON files.

I was able to extract everything without any problems and this time, the folder name (with  "---") was okay but I had kept the manually installed content so it was not necessary for me to reinstall anything manually. I will reinstall the pack with DIM when a fixed version will be available.

Agreed, QA should've noticed the problems.

Are these installation issues confined to the Smart Breast Control For G9 product? Does the Smart Enhancing System install and function properly? I was able to get a good deal on the Breast Control product, with the plan to get the Enhancing System when I could get it with a discount. It's now showing in my WL with a discount, and I would like to buy it, but I'm reluctant if there are problems with it.

Smart Enhancing System (108723) can be installed properly and work well.  The above installation issue is only related to Smart Breast Control product (116771) ~

It's getting ridiculous. Just another update and it's still broken.
Buyers of this product schould get from DAZ a compensation.

Broken in the same way or differently?

I just figured out that the morphs are now installed, but the product still is uninstalled.

The "6 Smart Enhancing System - Breast Control ON-OFF" seems to do nothing for me. But I can dial in morphs by hand.

There is an updated file. Now it seems to install and work correctly. I have removed my manual installation of the package and i have installed this version. A quick test and everything seemed to be okay (applied the system to a posed character without it).

    Maxima has been updated too.
