looks great, nice modeling. I have a bunch of these from the web and some i made myself. What would be useful for me would be aged type textures, like dusty, dirty cans sitting on a shelf for a long time for survival and post apocalyptic scenes. Even some that were open, like with force and not the usual way.

Awesome! I can't wait to see them in store :)

Perhaps you can include a paperbag full of groceries(morphing?) for characters to carry?  That's something I've not seen anywhere.

This is exactly what I was hoping for too and have been looking for.  Or at least a morphable paper bag that one can fill with the different items (you need to be able to 'squish' in sides and corners a bit so it looks realistic for those poor people carrying one in each arm).

I'm just working on a plugin at the moment, but I will see if I can make something.

I'd like to do some final adjustments to my groceries too, so I will get on that as soon as I can.

    Thanks again everyone.

For the stacks etc you could use instances.

Could you do some washing powder packs, especially ones with the corner open?

Not sure what you mean by "instances".

Washing powder is already on my list, I'll make it with the open corner smiley

    Congrats on being accepted.

The washing powder is exactly how I'd like, just need a DAZ branded one, a skinhead and a white shirt.

Instances - if you wanted to build a pile of boxes you could load in 1 or 2 and then instance the rest so the poly count would remain low, a few vendors are using them for grass and other vegatation Design Anvil and Gendragons Plants and Grass pack (http://www.daz3d.com/g3d-da-grass-and-plant-pack) uses instancing

    I remember that advert smiley

    Thanks for explaining instances.

I'll have a go at that.

Got a qustion - outside of the UK what do they call Washing Powder on the packaging ? Detergent ?

I was just thinking of adding a couple more textures to the pack.

  • Did I tell you congrats already? Well congrats on getting the product accepted. It looks very useful, and I really like all the brands you have made up.

Laundry detergent is typically what we call it in the US, and we also have some brands that do the box with the notch opening as you have made.

  • This is all looking so awesome.  Great job!

  • Thank you both smiley

As mentioned I made another detergent this time. I don't know if you have it outside the UK but it's a pardoy of a product here called "Bang!" - notable for it's Godawful adverts.

As for Cambells, then it's a recognised brand and trademark, so selling it would probably not be a good idea.

Why not?  Andy Warhol got away with it!

I'm looking for FOOD!  Not the package, but food that can go on a plate... and food that is actually appetizing looking please.  Something like Ironman's sandwiches.  There are options for raw fruit and vegetables on various 3D sites, but I'm looking for prepared food, especially holiday food!  I have Baroque Grandeur and the tableware that goes with it, and hotdogs and fried chicken just won't cut it.

Did a few simple herb tubs today to add to the package.

Check out Blondie9999's store here for the diner food. It's in the PC, so if you're a member it's very affordable.

Also check out Exnem, Pappy411, and TruForm on Rendo. All of them have various food packages. There are other vendors as well, but those all occur to me off the top of my head.

Back on topic: I like the herb tubs. More very plausible items.

    JackReason and JOdel:

Thanks, Dinner Food 5 is better.  I have seen some good stuff on Rendo, too.  I'm going to take my camera to Thanksgiving and see if I can get some good images.  I'm getting ambitious and think I will try my hand at modeling.  What I'm really looking for is some 5 star restaurant food, so I'll have to look around through some stock photos.  I did find some really good looking food on some other CG websites, but they are VERY expensive.

All the supermarkets available are quite good but lack realistic shelf products for close-ups.

I would be great if someone could make a realistic stocked shelf for use in stores or supermarkets - with shelving, prices, and some individual items that can be moved or deleated.

  • Hi Ashley, do you think the one's I made are okay for that kind of thing ?

I could make some shelves and displays as another separate project.

Currently these are on hold while the PA Team inspects them.

Check out Exnem food stuff over at Renderosity. This one renders really well in both Poser and DS, and lots of texture options-

A fairly new vendor over on Rendo, ShaaraMuse3D, has a number of nice looking food products. The packages are called Photo Buffet, and are mostly raw vegetables and fruit. But there is also a really nice rotiserie chicken.

I think Powerage had a food pack at some point not too long ago as well. And if you've got a membership PoserWorld has several food models. So do some of the freebie sites, although those are often 'Toon food.

The pizza has a box, but it's a very simple one. I'm sure there are plenty more elaborate designs. But where I live, (in Italy), they worry more about the pizza than the box. LOL.

Btw, there used be an entire thread devoted to food freebies. It had a bunch of great links. It was in the forum before the recent change, but I don't have a link.
