The plugin is in the correct location, but I now have two documentation entries in the Daz Help Browser, due to the new docs folder name mentioned by Omniflux.

    All should be fixed now.

Hello.  WIll this require a new purchase for DS 2026 or will an update for existing owners become available in DIM?

All my plugins ported and all will be free smiley

No idea when we will be allowed to submit these updates though. I will do so first chance we get and then it should appear in DIM.

Thank you very much for your generosity.  I’ll wait for the update to appear in DIM … no rush.  Will the update work in Daz Studio 4.24 and 2026 or will it only work in Daz Studio 2026?

No of course I will keep both versions functioning.

BJ Camera Manager and BJ Shelf are two of my favorite Daz Plugins. They make scene creation so much easier for me. It is wonderful to hear your plans to offer the upgrades to current users free in DIM.

What barbult said, thank you so much for updating.

    Submitted for DS6.

    STOP STOP STOP

DIM has an update for BJ Camera Manager today. Don't install it if you use DS4. It will remove the plugin from your DS4 installation.

    @barbult

Thanks much!!!  I had updated the BJ Camera Manager plugin and the BJ Selection History plugin earlier this afternoon when both appeared as updates in DIM.  Had it not been for your timely warning, I’d not likely have known that the updates removed them from DS4.  I keep all of my product zip files and I sometimes keep the previous zip file of a product when an update is available.  For some reason, I decided the keep the previous zip files for both of the BJ plugins this afternoon and manually restored the plugin files from the previous zip files.  I've deleted the new zip files for the plugins that I downloaded earlier this afternoon.

    Again, thank you!

Sorry about that. DS4 plugins should have obviously not been touched by a DS6 update. And of course as always with such things it happens right before the weekend when nobody is likely around to fix it.

Whew, thanks for the warning. I was just about to install.

Can't wait to see how long a fix takes to get through QA given their backlog.

Did this affect other BJ's plugins? I just saw BJ Selection History and BJ Layers Plugin also in my updates.

Yes, I know BJ Camera Manager and BJ shelf were affected. Once I discovered the problems, I stopped updating anything.

Oh dear, QA has made a right mess of this, haven't they. I did not see the warning in time, and in trying to dig up the dll somewhere, anywhere I had a look at the zip file for Camera Manager and found that it contains Selection History instead. Whoever packaged this clearly needs a holiday.

Yes, the  BJ Selection History plugin update also removed it from DS 4.  Fortunately, I download the zips for all purchases and, for some reason, kept the former zip as well as the new zip so I was able to correct the removals as soon as I read @barbult’s warning post.

I was wondering what was going on, and to know that it is completely borked in Studio 4.24, and have no backup of the original file. I copied the .dll over to DS6's plugin folder, and noted that in DS6 none of what was in the product is there, all it shows in the panel is a list of camera's, there is no camera switching buttons or anything like that.

Huh, are you saying the DS6 version runs at all in DS4? That is surprising.

Edit: Or DS4 to DS6? I thought since the DS4 got deleted that can't be the case.

Nah I may have not worded what I wrote right. When the update for the plugin dropped it went into the DS4 plugins folder as that is where DiM installs it and overwrote the file. I get this error in the About Installed Plugins section of DS4. I tried to see if it worked in DS6 by copying the dll from the DS4 plugins folder and into the DS6 plugins folder, and well it does not work properly there either.

Thankfully I found a backup of the plugin from a backup of my DiM downloads from 2024. smiley

Okay this is weird the file is named dsp_BJ_SelectionHistory.dll, where as the original is named BJ_CameraManager.dll. So not sure what is going on feels like the new file is for something else and nothing to do with camera's.

Oh ok, but the dsp_* plugin should work in DS6 though. Uh... I guess Daz also just gave away my Selection History plugin for free to Camera Manager owners. Or... I mean if it's not working I guess that's good laugh

I just got a notification that it went live in the store. Can you guys try again if that fixed anything?

Not even sure what the selection history plugin does. Okay well I found out and yes not great to have another product in another products zip file. I have also posted what is seen in the DiM file and well someone messed up for sure.

Ok there's various miscommunications going on, I'm not sure how long this will take now so if you need DS4 version just message me.

All fixed now, two separate files showing in DiM one for DS4 and one for DS6, and both working great thank you for the update. laugh The only thing because DiM does not see DS6 properly, when it comes to installing plugins, unless I have DiM setup wrong. You will have to move the DS6 version of the plugin dsp_BJ_CameraManager.dll file from the DS4 plugin folder to the DS6 plugin folder.
