When Will Studio 6 SDK Release?

in Daz SDK Developer Discussion

In the release video for Daz Studio 6 it mentions a new SDK. I can't seem to find info on it anywhere so I wondered if there was a release date for the SDK?

    I see files related to "Daz Studio 6+ BETA SDK" in my DIM.

    That's strange. I have searched SDK and made sure I show hidden, and still nothing related to DAZ 6 SDK I have the 4.5 SDK thinking that might help it, but nothing.

    Cheers, I checked all the filters just to make sure, but still nothing. The library link just links to my product library. Maybe it's something that will trickle out like you said.

    Yes, it's not appearing for me either.

    Maybe PA's are getting it before everyone else?

    I think a BETA SDK is subject to change, so if you distribute a plugin based on it, and Daz changes something, your plugin will break.
    So, do you really want a "BETA" SDK, or a stable one that doesn't change?

    If I remember right, I had to add the DS 4.5 SDK from the store, then later the 6 SDK showed up in my DIM.

    Updated for clarity

    In case anyone else is interested, this is what I did to get hold of the DS 6 SDK:

    • Go to the Daz Originals store page:  https://www.daz3d.com/daz-originals
    • Locate the Daz Studio 6.x SDK BETA product and click the Add to Cart button
      DO NOT try to click through to the product page as it currently doesn't work, just click the little green Add To Cart button from the store page (see screen shot below from Praxis)
    • View your cart and complete the order for the SDK (it costs $0 to order)
    • Once I recieved the order confirmation email, I opened up DIM and the SDK files were in there

    Hope that helps others.

    Thanks, but we need a direct shop link. The shop icon for "Daz Studio 6.x SDK BETA" is visible, but the shop link is broken and coming up blank.

    Noone is going to give a direct link due to the links being attached to their customer files. File a report/ticket for the broken link/store page.

    In the Store page, search for 57703

    In the result page, click on the "Add to Cart" icon (NOT the thumbnail or title, which just take you to the Store page).

    "Buy" it as usual (it is $0), and it will appear in your Product Library and in DIM.

    The product page for DS6 SDK doesn't seem to work for now, hence why no direct link was given.
