Bone Minion, horses & Centaurs?

I am working on a Centaur (G8) walk cycle but I have heard that some Daz horse poses etc can be used with the G8 Centuar.
Can anyone confirm or debunk this?
And if yes which horse generation matches which Genesis figures.
I am considering trying Bone Minion to convert some animation files but dont want to waste time if its not workable.

Hmm kinda sorta works in a way but unfortunatly the horse half is a puppet of the human half resulting in the horse galloping ahead and the human top half staying put

Off hand, I think it sounds like merging two products (horse and human) with one Centaur.
Kind of. It applies correctly to the legs, but the bones are named/ordered differently in the horse and centaur spines (one starts from the back hindquarters, the other starts from the front) so those can get pretty mixed up. And as you've also found, there are some complications from being a geograft.
Centaur 7 and 8 are based on Horse 2. Centaur 9 is based on Horse 3.

Thanks I'll start scratching at Riversot's door in regards to the centaur points you raised on the same forum thread.
I tried a Dr Who reversing the nuetron flow by making the human half a child of the horse half.
Sadly still no luck.
Try applying the animation to the human's hip, and removing anything from the graft's hip.
Remove what from the grafts? hip?
By graft I take it you mean the centaur?
Okay tried another approach I locked the Z translate and intend to move the terrain instead.
No such luck as the Centuar hip has no translate options they are on the body.
Locked the body but no affect at all, I am finding this centuar is unusable in regards to animation.
Here we go again, trying to create some keyframes but IK is not working.
Tried pinning some of the centaur feet (Activepose) to pose the character vie IK but pinning not working at all.
I am running out of ideas.
I feared its come to this, manualy rotating & dialing a halfman half horse without any pose dials except for a tail while towing a carriage.
Sadly beyond my meager keyframing skills, I ran into this issue years ago.

Oooooookay I think I have a very ugly and messy workaround for this mess of a product.
Unparented G8M from the Centaur.
Create a null and parent both to it
Unhide all of the centaurs parameters so I can actualy keyframe the centaur half.
Iater I'll see if I can get IK to actualy work.
