use unreal content in DS?

Can Unreal assets be used in DS?

I use Unreal assets in D|S

I often spend hours importing hundreds of Texture maps, deleting selections with the Geometry editor and saving stuff, adding bones and selecting and filling bits with the weight brush selected (so many doors made of so mamy bits) it does all import as one mesh after all blush

    ...and

grrrrrrr I cant even use Carrara because it truncates all the very long file names sad

Blender or Ultimate Unwrap 3D are possible go betweens

what is an asset? an environment?

    maybe could do:

Unreal -> Export as USD -> Blender (import USD) -> Export using Blender to DS addon

    Never tested that though.

characters, buildings, vehicles, etc.  The reason I ask, there are often thousands of them at Humble Bundel for low low cost, so if they would work, yea. They do have for Blender once in awhile as well, which would then be easier to export/imort into DS.

download UE4.7 and add the png exporter https://www.fab.com/listings/7ac5bfeb-4736-4b91-b58b-623b9197ab89

props you can usually migrate from UE5 to 4.27

rigged figures are hit and miss

    scenes, don't bother trying

fortunately many scenes still support 4.27 as more popular for game developers

right click asset in content browser -> asset actions -> export ?

or can open the texture asset in UE5 and export

If you want a functional batch process workflow for exporting large complex scene to Daz, not sure how scalable this process is... probably not very
