It's hard to see a diplomatic way out from here without both sides backing down to orders from Charlotte - it is her home after all. Regards, Richard.

Spoiler:  There will be no diplomatic way out.

    Oh dear.

As usual, fantastic posing & the 3 step view of the front door was inspired.

    Regards,

    Richard

Thank you.  Kurt used to be a bouncer.

Perfectly understandable and realistic comedown reactions from them both. Not necessarily the most useful for their relationship, but understandable.

Leaves me wondering.. does the humiliated dad just slink away accepting being thrown bodily out of the door? Probably not. His reaction is likely to be closer to a firebomb level reaction than to quiet acceptance, and next step after that go nuclear; He does seem a little volatile. Oh what fun is to be had.

    Regards,

    Richard

And how would he retaliate?  Read on and understand.

... That is an interesting definition of "together".

She should have let him get the sleep he needed.

Yeah, firefighters are often exhausted coming off their shifts, where catching a quick nap might be next to impossible. It was mainly the poker playing that bothered her.

Will be interesting to see where this goes next. Human psychology is always interesting to watch unfold.

Your dialogue and characters feel very grounded in reality and the poses and expressions are also great, keep up the good work! :D

Thank you, Coliaz, and let me return the compliment.  I've been following Adam, Jacob and Joi on and off for years and what has always impressed me is how real they seemed.  That you can sustain this for so many years is amazing!  Hope I have as much imagination.

Chopped. New one on me. But yes.

Sensible & reasonable. So... I can feel the evil story teller rubbing his hands together in glee dreaming up ways & means. wink

    Regards

At first I was going to use "gross" but wondered if a 14 year-old in 2026 would use that word.  After a little research I found "chopped."  Never heard it used in that way before, but then I don't associate with teenagers very much.

"Gross", "cool", and "hip" are the slang adjectives that have survived through every generation I've known.

The high schoolers that critiqued the street language in my comic deemed it outdated, which is true.  However, they seemed oblivious to the lifespan of today's terms.  I give 'em a year, tops.  They come and go, like krunk and six-seven, but we gotta write something.

[edit=1] Sometimes you can get away with coining something original, like on Firefly, and it can sound leading edge. [/edit]

    Hallelujah!
