    Hmm, perhaps I need to bribe other-Richard to do some triumphant cat poses. And hope they don't come before a (prat)fall.

    The explanation for thefal sounds  all very plausible, but I do have an excelent sense of balance so I suspect the truth is that Evil Onion threw its weight to one side to  trigger the tipping point.

    The shifting Evil Onion was my first thought, too, but when I looked at the untenable pose I put you and the onion sack in on that bike, I decided there was no recovery from that. More Other-Richard poses would be very welcome. I've found a good use for several of his poses already. I suppose we could work some triumphant cat poses into the stories. I remember that you were quite happy with the seafood feast after Rob slayed the specimen. Not every adventure ends badly. You did meet Lola in jail after the hosta heist with Jack, and you did get to demonstrate your many excellent skills. So there is all that.

    Oh, I have no doubt that in the long run I will have many more triumphs than debacles. It's just a question of how fast the long run needs to be.

    Every day you stay out of jail is a triumph really laugh.  Perhaps an appropriate  wall chart is in order  'Richard xx days without being locked up' where the xx has those little hooks that you can hang number cards on.  I think two hooks would be sufficient.

    Richard Should Have Been Home By Now

    Lola: Where is Richard? He should have been home from selling onions by now. I sure hope he doesn't bring any of them back with him. We have way more than enough here already. Gosh, I hope he hasn't been arrested again! He's got 3 police-free days under his belt. It would be a shame to have to start over again.

    That's a strange image, my first thought when looking at it was that it was AI generated, mainly owing to how Lola looks, but then I can se legible writing on the cans, so that makes me think it's a 'proper' render.

    If it is a pure render it's extremely well done, the lighting is perfect. I see Richard has his count up to three "Well done lad!" as Wallace would say.

    On different topic I was searching for something yesterday, I searched everywhere and wouldn't you know it, it was in the last place I looked! That got me thinking that things will always be in the last place you look for them, unless you keep looking for them after you found them, which would be weird.

    I did experiment with AI enhancement this time. It totally garbled everything except Lola's face and the onion rings. So I used Photoshop to replace those elements with the AI. The change was subtle, but effective, because it caught your eye. Later I'll upload the pure render so you can compare.

    I had sort of hoped we would see more of Richard hawking his onions on his little bike, since the first image was so engaging, but I realise it would probably take up a lot of time, Still it might be nice to make more use of the effort you put into getting him dressed up and on the bike. It really felt like the start of a mini adventure ( by which I mean not involving explosions, police, or chaos, but a nice charming story. But of course it's your story, and I'm only here as an observer)...

    Richard on his bike came out great, I agree. He has to get home to Lola somehow. I think the Lola in the kitchen render is just part of the adventure. I was inspired by the comment about the numbers on the hooks. I had to render it.

    I in turn was inspired to mention it because I was thinking about those safety signs you see in films 'XX days without an accident'. Why Richard would get me thinking about accidents I have no idea wink Maybe Richard could get 'stabilizers' for his bike, those little wheels on rods that stop a bike tilting sideways more than a few degrees, the kind of thing you use for children when they are learning to ride.

    Lola should know that I always land on my feet - it's just a matter of how many times I bounce first, and what is under my feet in the end.

    Maybe in a variation of Schrodinger's cat, Richard is both inside the box and outside the box at the same time, thanks to quantum superposition, and it's only when the box is opened after the danger is passed that the paradox is resolved, and he emerges from it unscathed, irrespective of whatever might have  happened to the box while it was closed.

    Richard related: I was thinking about the book and  film 1984 and the posters they have 'Big Brother is Watching YOU'' and I thought it might be an interesting future idea to have posters 'Richard is watching YOU', which he does of course laugh. Then I thought, maybe the reason Richard is so often at the scene of a disaster is that he is actually trying to stop them, and thet getting arrested or taken in for questioning is just a cover, so that he has chance to talk to his law enforcement guys without anyone realising he's actually one of them. Maybe he secetly has a Catmobile and chases the villians, rather than being a villian. 

    I would have to say if Richard is trying to stop disasters, he's not terribly good at it based on the number that happen, but who knows, maybe Richard's world would be ten times worse if he wasn't there. Think of the forums if Richard wasn't here, it would be like Dodge City and 'The Purge' rolled into one.

    I would have to say if Richard is trying to stop disasters, he's not terribly good at it based on the number that happen,

    but who knows, maybe Richard's world would be ten times worse if he wasn't there. Think of the forums if Richard wasn't here, it would be like Dodge City and 'The Purge' rolled into one.

    Brings to mind the saying "easy come, easy go". 

    I you ever left the forum, we would all probably want to leave. You are the one who answers technical questions and keeps the chaos under control. I think background well described what the forum would be like without you - not a pretty or fun place to be! I would be devastated to lose your comments in this thread.

    As Richard lay stunned on the ground, Milly and her mother came around the corner, headed home from shopping. 
    Milly: Richard! What happened to you, you poor thing?
    Richard: I came into town to sell onions, and my bike threw me. It was just like when my horse threw me in Dodge City, except this time I didn't land on my feet. I'm OK. My bike must have tripped on a tumbleweed, just like my (now your) horse. Now I have to figure out how to get home. My legs don't really reach the bike pedals very well.
    Milly: Oh, Richard, I can show you how to ride and reach the pedals!

    Milly to the rescue. I like the continuation of the story  it looks like the evil onion might get what he deserves.

    I was going to render a joke page from a comic 'The Adventures of Catman and Moggie' but I should probably post that elsewhere ( and I really should work on projects I have on the go that are half completed instead).

    You are especially slim when rendered in Filament, as you noticed. One could say skinny. I used to be skinny. Then I met chocolate..
