Editing shader?

Iam really fond of this Soto's shader from Breast Utilities 2 that add the detail options similar to the new Iray PBRSkin Shader. It is just that the shader has no detail weight option, and after one look at the shader editor I realized this stuff is way above my pay grade.

So, does anyone know anything about shader editing? How hard could it be to add the detail weight to it?

Can you maybe not host an image on some annoying website with popups...

I dont have PBRSkin Pro that comes with that product, but I would assume it does have detail weight control because it has presets called "BU2 Detail Normal Strength 0.05" etc.

What kind of detail are you trying to weight?

It also looks like it has two additional layers with settings that can be weighted. So either Layer 1 or Layer 2could be repurposed as a detail layer and weighted...

To answer your question about shader editor, it's not rocket science but it is tedious to learn from zero, and I doubt it's worth learning this just for that. It's not as intuitive as something like Blender.  Luckily you have PBRSkin default as a reference, so you can reproduce the shader logic from that into your new shader, if you need to, which you probably dont.

that slider doesnt seem particularly valuable. I dont have PBRSkin Pro so im not sure what settings it has vs what it is in your screenshot

Im curious why do you need to have a global controller for Detail anyway. You can control each parameter in that group individually, i assume? (Again dont have PBRSkin Pro so not sure what the detail group looks like on that shader)
