in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Hey!  I'm wondering why sometimes my products are also downloaded to (example:)

Data>Cloud>1_90388>enviroments>landscape>dreamlight>edge of wonder

Data>Cloud>data>cloud>1_83505>shader presets>censored>snow and ice floor iray shaders

Data>Cloud>meta

Data>Cloud>data>auto_adapted

Data>Cloud>data>cloud>meta

It would happen if I had downloaded product previously from DAZ Central & currently if I choose Studio 2026|Premier BETA>Smart Content>Available or Update Tabs -- same with DAZ Studio 4.24.0.3 (64-bit)

    I assume you can update metadata without downloading any products.

    But if you update a product from inside Daz Studio, it will be downloaded with Daz Connect, and those are two seperate installation methods, and the Connect takes priority.

    So if I download from DIM it takes the path I select & from within DAZ Studio it goes to Data>cloud?

    Yes. You can see the paths in Edit > Preferences > Content > Content Directory Manager

    And do not use the same path for both. It will be a mess, and you will still install twice.
