If anyone's interested, I posted a bunch of inane "one page" cartoons inspired by my senior citizen neighbors.

I assemble them with DAZ Studio and Comic Life 3. Then I print them out and show to my "100 or so" friends.

They really love to see cartoons centered around Seniors.

Oh I bought the Cat Zeus and some related stuff. I also bought the DAZ House cat and related content.

It might take me awhile to make more art.

I'm having trouble with my vision. I get strong sunlight coming through my curtains. I have to wait a month for an eye doctor appointment.

Sleep in the day; render at night?
    Get blackout shades or curtains?

I've asked for new blackout curtains and blinds.

We're getting ready for a big HUD inspection of our building in May.

Drapes might be delayed a bit.

I get up during the day so I can visit with my friends around lunch time.

Everyone looks very cheerful, even though they almost got badly injured. Kind of like "Ooh look there's an unexploded ordnance form WWII, let's throw bricks at it an see if it goes off."

@ Artini: Yep, it was surprisingly like that.

    Regards,

    Richard

Yah, that's what all the cats claim.

That alibi is unconvincing, Ron. I don't see him there. Are you sure you know where he is at all times?  Maybe he sneaks out while you are napping. Just sayin'. Could be.

So I guess I can't upload any images here anymore?

"Other-Richard" told me in PM that my nickname for him was OK to use, so from now on, I affectionately continue to refer to him by that name. I'm pleased to see it caught on with others, too. :)

My dog Bandit had a lot of "fringe." You can see the tuft of hair (fringe) coming out of his chest.

He had a large amount of fringe coming out the back of his legs, and his rump.

He looked so skinny when he was wet. He didn't mind taking a bath.

He didn't need many baths because I kept him mostly inside or away from stinky stuff.

I had him for 17 years. He was 9 years old when this photo was taken.

17 years is a good long dog life. I see those fur fringes on him.

That is a good lifespan for a dog.  Our little dog, Andrew, is 15 years and 4 months.  However, we will be lucky if he reaches 16.

Working for me, but with all the Cloudflare gateway errors I wouldn't be surprised if the upload issue had resurfaced as well. (Lest anyone get their hopes up I should point out that the image si from an older version of the forums, not a sneak peek at a newer iteration.)

    Edit: Fixed for now.
It still won't upload the image for me. It just says Uploading forever. The image is the normal size I render of you (2000 by 1500) and is under 2 MB in file size. These images normally upload in a few seconds. I'll have to try another day. Hopefully Daz will fix the forum again. The Gateway Errors are preventing me from even reading messages most of the time.

You will have to stay in the funnel a little longer, I guess. At least both ends are open so you can breathe. smiley

If you were to poke a cucumber into the small end I think Richard would suddenly find the means to escape. ( In real-life, never scare your cat with a cucumber, but since it's only Richard it would probably be ok ).

One of our cats got into a staring match with a marrow. I mean its cylindrical, it swells out at the back, and area where the stalk attached is a bit like a face.

I wonder if there's a ranking of vegetable scaryness for cats, like  'Leek' that's fine, 'Melon' that's sort of ok, 'Corgette' um a bit close for comfort, 'Cucumber' NOPE, 'Peapod' Yup that's no problem...

Also, what about the big cats? If you were to prod a huge lion with a cucumber would it be upset? Would you survive? I mean, we know what happened to Albert in Albert and the Lion, and that was just a stick ( albeit it had a horse's head handle which might be triggering for a big cat ). And is it only cats that suffer from Cucurbitophobia ( had to look that one up ), what about Owls?? Doesn't the ancient book of Celts say "Suffer Ye Not Thine Owle Be Proddeth With An Cucumbre".?

Yeah, I'd buy that for a dollar.

I've got a crush on a lady friend who already has a boyfriend.

    She's allergic to cats also.

I had a crush on another woman who thought the dog in my painting was a cow.

Poor Ron, lol, then might I suggest that what you really need is a She-Devil.
Come to think of it, I think I do as well  :-D

The Life and Loves of Ron Knights

Actually, I'll have to pick that up myself since I remember her vividly.  I last saw her in the 80s, so she must have done something memorable!

Of course it would help if I actually spelt it correctly, balls-up at the factory no doubt, just cannot get the staff these days but it's fixed now!
I don't think I ever spelt the name Haseltine wrong before, but odd how concentrating on the name makes you spell it Hazeltine  :-D

It is the more common spelling, not surprising as it is originally from the farm or village by the hazel trees.

  • 3DIO3DIO Posts: 419

Just looked it up.  Have to say I do prefer the Old-English spelling of Haseltine over Hazeltine, just as my father would have.

  • barbultbarbult Posts: 27,087

I'll probably start spelling it wrong now by mistake. You know, once you get a thought in your head, you can't get it out. Maybe the spelling with the Z is his "stage name", to preserve his anonymity, so he isn't hounded by paparazzi and such. It is bad enough that the police are after him for causing several damaging explosions around town. Of course, slapping a big picture of himself and Lola on the billboard kind of counteracts that anonymity. And the spelling is fixed now, so out goes that whole theory.

  • 3DIO3DIO Posts: 419

You do have to wonder why Lola looks so content, Richard so spooked, and how they managed to find themselves plastered over every billboard in town like that!
Scandalous if you ask me, and I'm saying no more.
