Ya that's it, although I don't see the expression of absolute terror which I think would accompany it being inflated., especially of it goes with a bang.
It is for people who don't want a normal helmet to ruin their hairstyle
( ********** WARNING ********* The following is not recommended for people of a nervous disposition )
It reminded me of an event that supposedly occured in the Greyfriars cemetery in Edinburgh. A part of the cemetery is called the covenanter's prison, and it was here that some 400 prisoners were held and died horribly in the 1600's In this area is the Black Mausoleum. which is the burial place of George Mackenzie who persecuted religious minorities, including the covenanter's, and has long been reported as 'haunted', in fact one of Britains most haunted places.
Anyway, in more recent time a clergyman felt compelled to try and cast out the evil which supposedly lurked within the mausoleum, so during the night he, and a journalist and a photographer went to the mausoleum and the clerygman began his efforts to expell the evil, meanwhile the journalist decided this would be a great image for his article and asked the photographer to take a photo. Now this was in the days of flash photography, so, as the clergyman, who surely believed in the existance of evil forces is trying to cast out the spirit of Mackenzie there is a blinding FLASH! and the poor clergyman collapses on the floor, and sadly died a few days later.
I suspect it was a heart attack...
For a cat of unqustionable renown I presume the safety device would produce a nice cardboard box instead?
I think they (used to) use cardboard boxes as landing pads for stunt performers.
Interesting story, @background
Nooooo! It looks like the paradox has resulted in their being two Richards! It just goes to show messing with quantum physics can be dangerous. We should be grateful it didn't result in an earth shattering explosion. I think perhaps the hole in the box meant that inside and outside were the same place.
I just dropped in to say hello.
It's been a terrible day. One of my eyes is swollen, and looks dark inside.
I switched my computer to a really dark theme so I can read the screen without screaming.
I'll probably see a doctor soon.
That is unless you're Dar Robinson, of course! That said, no amount of boxes could have saved him from death.
Never broke a bone in his career, then unfortunately mistimed a stunt and rode off' a cliff-edge on a motorbike!
If you're interested i have a little horror story to tell on my own Art Studio home.
I don't think I have the skill to illustrate the story.
Here is a teaser.
(I'm spending most of my days in near darkness till my eye heals. But I'm already working on a way to illustrate my story. The rough draft will be here in ArtZone. As the story improves, it will go to my web site.)
Don't wish to worry you, Ron, but it sounds as if you could be turning into a Gremlin (due to the bright light thing).
Best keep away from water until you know for sure, just to be on the safe side.
On a more serious note, I'm sorry to hear they left you without your blackout blinds like they did.
Sounds very inconsiderate of your condition to be honest!
3DIO, It's too late, I've had a drink of water.
Things are settling down now. The swelling on my right eye has gone down. Frequent cold compresses helped do the trick.
Now I'm trying to get myself ready for the very first visit from my family. They haven't been here since I was moving in, five years ago.
Well in that case, best of luck with the family reunion, Gizmo!
Sometimes we all get off on a tangent, but let's try to keep the thread focused on Richard's adventures, please.
OK, sorry. But in my defense you're turned some of my "true life" experiences into your story.
I'm not complaining, but will refrain in the future.
While the cat's away the mice will play. But yes you're right, I'll keep my non Richard related comments out of the thread.
Well I'll try, but just to be clear, it's mainly Lola I come here to focus on
background, you gave me an idea. I just started painting again after a few months' "dry spell."
If barbult is willing, I might do a poster.
I'm glad to see you are inspired to paint again, Ron! Post the resulting poster in your painting thread, where people are following your artistic work. I keep an eye on that thread. If I can incorporate it into a future story, I'll ask you for permission to use it, like I did the sunflower painting. I think it makes more of an impact here when it is part of a Richard story.
I like Richard, even though he sometimes "corrects" me in the forums. Don't tell Richard, but he's usually right. I do try to behave myself these days.
Barbult, I am thriled that you have included me and some of my "misadventures" in your (Richard's) story to this date.
i tend to get easily bewildered by some of the more intricate social complexities. I do, however, take gentle suggestions to heart.
Sometimes I think no one looks at my misadventures. But there's been some frantic activity tonight.
You can even start your own Life of Richard thread! You certainly have no shortage of great ideas to get him in trouble! I would be a follower of that thread for sure. Ron is rendering some Richard images, too. And Artini makes Richard AI images. Richard may be the most famous person on the torum now. (He probably always was.)
I think if I was going to start a thread it would be called 'Food for Thought' and it would cover a range of subjects, My mind is a butterfly ( now that sounds really pretentious I'm sorry) I have difficulty concentrating one one thing without getting distracted by other ideas that pop in there without warning.. This is one of the reasons I comment here, I see something that inspires me with an idea, I write it in a comment, and then I'm free to think about other things without having to stick to the idea. I don't think I could stick to one topic or theme, which is one of the things I really like about your 'take on the lives' thread. Also I'm too much of a perfectionist ( sounding pretentious again ) for my own good, so spending a fortnight getting one image 'just right' isn't going to retain viewers ( and my idea of 'perfection' is probably well short of other peoples)... For example i have now edited this post five times to correct spelling misteaks. lol
You inspired me again. Please take a look at the thread:

Yes, I have started to post AI images in the thread:
https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/591121/remixing-your-art-with-ai#latest
because they are created by AI.
Your thread is so great, that it is better not to post more other images here.
Yeah, but that's easier said than done. You see, whenever Lola is in the scene, everything but her, becomes a blur!

But worry not. I'd never attempt to steal Lola's heart from Richard, and will just have to ramp-up the cold showers!
I am releived that Richard-clones are not going to be proliferating, ny ego is quite unwiireldy enough anyway.
Chocolate has led many of us to the dark side.
I gave up chocolate, and the next time I went for a checkup the doctor sent me for blood tests on account uf unexplained weight loss. ( I did explain but he wasn't convinced ). What prompted me to do it was Halloween, I had bought a tub of chocolate for trick-or-treat and no kids appeared so I um, ate the lot
, then I felt so bad I decided to give it up for good. It's weird, if it's not there i don't miss it. If it is there it calls to me 'eat me' eat me'.
. Now back to our regular Richard thingies.
Right-click on the thumbnail below your post and select Copy Link or the like (not Copy Image Link, that will just give you the thumbnail image). The click the gear icon at top-right of your post>Edit Post. Put the cursor where you want the image, usually the start of a new line, and click the Image (framed landscape button) just above the Styled button in the toolbar, then paste the link you copied into that. If you tab to another field your image should appear in the preview area. If the image is over 800 pixels wide then I suggest setting the width to 800, with the proportions locked, otherwise the image will get squished horizontally but not vertically (which probably won't improve it)
Thanks Richard.
