Can someone teach me how to use Save Daz Figure?

Strand based hairs are imported as polylines and need to be converted as a separate step.

It it not clear what your bug report means, can you elaborate please. The addon should work fine on mac as it is a simple python script so it relies on blender to execute it, there should be no differences on mac as long as blender runs fine.
As for saving figures, the blog refers to saving a figure morph, that you can do just the same with the morph loader in daz studio. There's no way to export a blender rig in general if this is what you hope for.
Version 5.1.0 of the DAZ Importer, MHX Runtime System and BVH and FBX Retargeter have been released. It is compatible with Blender 3.0 - 5.1.

Amazing job. You're such a life saver :)
Thanks !
Post HEAT, does animating a DAZ character in Blender 5 work?
You remain amazing, thank you very much for this tool!
Hi, im using the new diffeomorphic & blender 4.5.5. When I import my character, all the JCMS work aside from smile? Snarl, surprised, etc. all works fine, except she will NOT smile at all. How can I fix this please? Thanks in advance!
Be sure to use the figure presets in easy import, there's G8 G81 and G9. Works fine here.
p.s. For example G9 doesn't support face units, as well G8 is not meant for FACS if you want to load G8 poses. So the presets help you get the standard features for the figure.
I do use these on all my G9's, I have 3 other characters and they all work perfectly fine except for this one character I'm having issues with right now. Any preset & expression works that doesn't involve smile, but the moment I try to use the smile presets I can see other parts of her face moving, for example her cheeks & eyebrows, but it's like she doesn't have the ability to smile? Even though she works perfectly fine in Daz.
She worked fine two months ago with all her presets, I've been using her for almost two years now with no issues. I updated Daz, blender & diffeomorphic to the correct versions & now she's somewhat broken. :')
Just for clarification blender is where I feel more comfortable & have the most knowledge, so converting my models over & the rigs, weights & FACS working is important to me. Im just a little stumped because I've spent weeks trying to fix the issue.
If anyone could help me figure this out I'd be so grateful. Thanks in advance!
What was the blender/addon version that worked. What is the blender/addon version that doesn't work. What is the specific figure that doesn't work please provide reference to the product page.
note. If you load a old blender file in a new version of blender/addon then there may be issues, this is expected as blender is not generally back compatible among major versions, especially for rigs. So you have to reimport the figure from daz, if this is your case.
In general, in blender, you start and end a project in the same major version, you don't cross major versions within the same project. You can try to transfer content among major versions but issues are expected, so if some content is designed for blender 3 it is not expected to work seamless in blender 4 or 5. Same for the addons.
Thanks for the reply, she was converted to blender 4.5.5 a couple of months ago after I tweaked her proportions in Daz (the latest version), it wasn't anything different to what I'd normally do. I then exported her to blender using the newest version of diffeomorphic at that time & she worked great. All her smile expressions worked as they usually would.
I recently updated Daz & diffeomorphic again, making sure to remove the old version of diffeomorphic from Daz & blender first. Used the same process & now she doesn't smile, but I tested this with another character, she worked fine, then I used my friends character as another test but had the same issue except her mouth seemed like it was glued shut aswell - the mesh stretched when opening her jaw.
I asked my friend to try it on her pc, same versions of Daz, diffeomorphic & blender & she also had the same problem, no smiles & the glue like issue. She's more experienced in Daz than me so I figured if we worked together with my blender knowledge being greater, maybe we could figure it. She's solved her problem now, she doesn't know how she said she just exported for maybe the 5th time and it finally worked. But my problem with the lack of being able to smile remains. Everything else works perfect other than that, it's just annoying having a stiff face on happy renders haha.
All characters exported are G9s.
Thanks in advance!
Well I can't reproduce the issue here, unless there's specific steps. You can also upload your duf file for me to try, with reference to the used content. There's also some issues fixed with morphs in the latest commit, so you can try and see if that works.
https://github.com/Diffeomorphic/import_daz
p.s. If you did your figure as a mix of other characters, then there may be custom morphs to load for it to work correctly. The more charaters you mix the more morphs you need. To work in blender it is much better to use the standard figure morphs provided by daz, rather than mixing charaters. Be sure you check "baked correctives" in easy import, as it tries to load the extra morphs for a mix.
